Perhaps that is why there is such a difference between cricket and football in terms of popularity. It is clear that the ICC favors certain teams in major tournaments. If the ICC was neutral in major tournaments like the World Cup, then maybe the popularity of cricket would have increased a lot. India England Australia these three teams are always favored by ICC. As you said icc only cares about how to make financial gain but they don't care much about how to make a tournament beautiful and attractive. I am really wondered about the performance of Washington Freedom sqaud in final match and I am familiar much from this competition Major League Cricket and I only watched some matches but I especially watch this final match among Washington Freedom against San Francisco Unicorns sqaud. Before start this match, I am not expecting that we see such massive differences in their performance. San Francisco Unicorns sqaud also did very hard work to reaching this spot in final match but their performance was really bad first in bowling and then in batting Inning. Washington Freedom sqaud posted such a big scores Defeating target of total 207 and this could be done by only the performance of this batter Steven Smith made 88 scores. But San Francisco Unicorns batters did not deliver such a good performance in their batting inning and just achieved 111 scores and faced defeat by 96 scores.

Yes, I did not predict this match but I expected WSF to do well in this match.  And their batsmen have really put up a brilliant display of batting.  Their batsmen have given a huge target of 207 in 20 overs and this was the final match.  Because there is a lot of stress and pressure in the finals.  But their batsmen did not slow down their pace and worked hard and gave a tough target.  And if you pay attention to their bowler their bowler has also bowled very well.  Their bowler won the match by out the entire team in 16 overs.  Congratulations to him for this win.  I have seen 23 matches of SF but I have seen them defeat them.  And could not win the match due to their weakness.  He has been advised many times to make good his hard work and struggle.  But they did not pay attention to it and today the final match has wasted their hard work till the final.  And the WSF team won the match by a huge margin of 96 runs.  His perform in this match must have impressed everyone.

There is an interesting article in Emerging Cricket about the expansion of Women’s T20 World Cup to 16 teams from 2030 onwards. The upcoming edition features just 10 teams (and out of that only one is associate - Scotland). The 2026 edition will feature 12 teams, and there is a likelihood that at least 2-3 associates may feature in that event. For comparison, the 2024 Men's T20I World Cup featured 20 teams in total.

BTW, some news is coming in regarding the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup qualification. They can earn billions of dollars by promoting cricket by Olympics.But players need best system that will support them to show their abilities and they will groom in the future if they learned from legends.

Why should US government get involved in cricket? There is a United States of America Cricket Association (USACA) to do that, and they are affiliated to the ICC. The problem with them is that USACA has a reputation for being extremely corrupt. ICC has provided plenty of funds to them in the past, but most of it was mismanaged. I would rather argue that funds should be spent on emerging nations such as Uganda, Nepal, Papua New Guinea and Scotland, where large number of locals are playing cricket.
