Well I think not replace, its simple that we have bitcoin and we have dollar. For me, we cannot replace dollar, because dollar is dollar. But bitcoin is now having a name and people are talking about it, so its not impossible that bitcoin will also have a big name as well as the dollar.
yes i also agree with you. i also do not think that bitcoin is replace dollar, but in fact if the users of bitcoin will continously increase i am sure that it will certainly reduce the use of Dollar, because people will then take interest in bitcoin instead of Dollar. Yes I agree. But the process of eliminating Fiat may take several decades. This will not happen very quickly. People are wary of new things. They have no more confidence in the cryptocurrency

The increase of the liquidity or price argument is the argument we used to have by the financial system, whereby those who invest in the BTC want to escape. Those same financiers who are responsible for the crisis of 2008 with the securitization of questionable debt, those who put thousands of American families on the street to earn a few $, the same who have pushed the Greece debt irresponsibly on the back of Europe, the same who drive our farmers to suicide, confiscating all the value added of their work , the same growing companies to negative layoffs in the company only for a short term gain... In short, the financiers to push out. But still Bitcoin will never replace dollars, it can be an alternative but it will never take the place of Dollar as the main currency of a country. Dollar might be replace by another currency created by the government but Bitcoin will always be an alternative currency as the highest it can be.

In line with your statement I do believe that bitcoin will be the the number one and biggest digital currency online while the US dollars will be the standard and universal legal tender among fiat currencies except if being replaced by other fiat currencies. In short bitcoin cannot replace any fiat currency since bitcoin cannot live without fiat since it determines the value of bitcoin.

many people predicting this and i think its because crypto currency is not depend on the limitation between the country and crypto can be use form different country without having different like fiat that in USA is different in Russia or England or in Asia. i believe that crypto currency is the new currency that offers the best function for future and especially for economic of the country.

to me i think both bitcoin and Dollar will continue for a long time. bitcoin will be the number one crypto currency and mostly be use of online purposes while continue as one of the most popular fiat currency and will be use in local shops, until bitcoin become so much popular that every shop start accepting bitcoin for shopping in their local shops.

It is possible only when government supports virtual currency, right now power currency is most power because it is ruined by the government and paper currency is controlled by government. There are many illegal activities going on around in online with virtual currency, so bitcoin cannot replace dollar.

I don't think it will happen 15 years later or more than 15 years, Many people just see Bitcoin an alternative payment processor and investment, and few people see Bitcoin just for the community. With current US citizen more than 320 million and many people beside US citizen use USD it's will be hard for Bitcoin replacing Dollar. People still trust in USD or local currency if they saving Bitcoin is just for saving.
Totally agree with you, Bitcoin does not replace the dollar and will continue to exist in parallel as an alternative currency with its own special properties and mechanics. Dallar can only replace digital dollar, if in the future the government will do it, but it will be the same dollar is not just on paper. then there is an interesting question popping up like is it possible if later dolar have a digital version to compete with bitcoin? as the future of money in my opinion are clearly it's crypto currency. paper money hurting our lovely earth as it created from the Cotton and Linen. it's time to move to digital! Fiat is already digital. I am barely using physical money anymore for my daily needs. I either use my banking app that works with NFC or my NFC enabled bank card to complete purchases. If I ask for a refund they just require me to turn on NFC and the money is being returned. I must however note that in this case the refund amount can take up to 24 hours to show up if the banks aren't the same. If the banks are the same, then it's of course instant. Right now it's just waiting to make bank to bank transfers instant for every bank. If that happens, then it will be even better. It's just a matter of time. sorry i was unclear , i mean dollar or euro that adopting bitcoin(blockchain) technology. adopt how cryptocurrency work with its decentralized system. in several sci-fi movies there is a story government like US and china compete to create their own cryptocurrency to handle the financial crisis , it might happened in the future, a cryptocurrency everywhere needed.

in this period the price of bitcoin is volatile , and is not fixed , in my opinion Bitcoin can't replace the Dollar at least in this year or in the next five years .it's really hard to replace the first coin in the world , it result many problems in the economy of the world.

It just doesn't make sense that Bitcoin will replace the dollar soon because the two are incomparable so the best they can be is to co exist at least for now and maybe in future generations they might think of replacement but it isn't going to be now.

May be some big country will adopt this thing and start giving us time to change it to bitcoin. Because everything is now online base so no matter what technology will play a role in the next few years more or may be hundreds years more. We never know about the future, all is depends on our government if they are really into this things or not. We can only wait when the time comes

It seems to me that it is not necessary to put these two currencies in the confrontation. Bitcoin does not replace the dollar. But Bitcoin will be next to the dollar. He will be an excellent alternative to the dollar

It will not change or replace USD, they will have to co-exist together. Dollar is fiat and fiat is what people have been using, may it online and for offline transaction. Bitcoin is just a tool to make transactions faster but without fiat, its value will be worthless. Thinking of the possibilities to replace USD is not realistic as it will not happen.

if you are fine with the weakness of paper money, it does not matter if you want to use both. but for me, paper money is not profitable in the longer term because of inflation. for some people who do not like paper money, the paper money including the USD could be replaced by bitcoin.

we will have digital currencies in before 15 years, in good "modern" countries... BEFORE. Im sure
You don't have to look too far. The major fiat currencies of today already serve as digital currencies. The dollar, Euro, and Yen, not to mention many smaller currencies in major modern economies, already serve many more digital transactions than cash transactions. The only difference between fiat digital transactions and cryptocurrency transactions is the level of anonymity. This is perhaps the only place that bitcoin has an advantage over digital fiat, because is superior in every other category, including the most important one: price stability.

They wouldn't be the first to put a flag in the bitcoin world if they weren't a techy guy. There are far much more field in the real world. There are educated people in the field of medicine, engineering, science, etc. yet here we are. There's no peace and prosperity in the real world despite the fact that we have a lot of educated people. It's simply because educated people don't always prefer peace and prosperity in the world. It's the educated ones that are even more greedy and they're the ones that always come up with even more evil ideas.
