That's the hub (Superbpag) I used for the 24hr over-clock contest run in the compac solo club. Ran one stick with Y set-up at 435MHz got/getting 23.87GH (I haven't shut it down yet and in about 10min it'll be 36hrs run). can usb connector even handle the Y setup on this hub (rhetorical question, of course)? doubling from 2A to 4A per slot? It looks like a nice hub. Only problem is a lot of us RPI users are using 2.0 , USB 3.0 Hub's don't seem to like RPI. Hopefully they come out with a RPI that can handle most usb 3.0 hubs someday. Until then I will be gettin 2.0 for the most part. Just hard to beat RPI as a controller. actually, someone (Jake36, probably) specifically mentioned that this particular usb 3.0 hub (Superbpag) handles raspberry pi well, if I am not mistaken. It was me and it's not available at Amazon under that name anymore but the identical hub is named PAG now. Do a search for pag usb hub on Amazon. These are great and do run on the Pi using usb3.

Yes. I seen it mentioned some where (but couldn't remember by who) and gave it a shot. Been working great, except for if you push it hard, it gets way to hot. Been thinking of opening it up to see if I could cut some slots and maybe add a little 5V Pi case fan, to get some air flow inside the hub to help keep it cool.

Hi, i have my euro stick running ok on windows 7 with cgminer but now I am trying to run it under ubuntu Mate in a Raspberry 2. I am getting some errors and then the stick goes zombie. The stick is detected as AU3 GS-10000 and those are the errors: When i launch cgminer it says No devices detected but then the stick is detected and starts mining [2016-01-17 22:00:45] AU3 0: No valid hashes for over 3 secs, attempting to rese t [2016-01-17 22:00:45] AU3 0 attempted reset got err:(0) LIBUSB_SUCCESS / LIBUSB_ TRANSFER_COMPLETED [2016-01-17 22:00:52] AU3 0: No valid hashes for over 3 secs, attempting to rese t [2016-01-17 22:00:52] AU3 0 attempted reset got err:(0) LIBUSB_SUCCESS / LIBUSB_ TRANSFER_COMPLETED
The command i use is: sudo cgminer -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 -u 1JiWuyX94wrCr7JhkAn7x5qNMCEef1KhqX.Jan11bix0stick --au3-freq 150 Any help please?

I would suggest also getting the Y adapter. It is really nice your able to get power off 2 ports. I used decent usb 2 hubs but with the y adapter for power I was able to OC. Around 16GH is about as high as I pushed it. But you can get those Y adapters pretty cheap on ebay to.

If you can get the one zOU linked to shipped to you, I would go with that one. Reading the description on the one you linked to, it looks like it will only do 1.2 amps per port when plugged into the Pi/PC and who knows if it will work with the Pi. Were the Superbpag/PAG will do 2 amps per port (and does work with the Pi), which would get you closer to 15MHz (you could push 4 to 15MHz but the PAG is going to get really hot).

Maybe it is the same by the word of the mouth. Superbpag had description that it is 70W and it clearly had power adapter. Apart from the title, the product description of PAG is really skimpy. It says (verbatim): "It standardly comes with a 3.0 USB cable and a copper-core cable of the charger."

Tank you for your help ! https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/CryptoNight its a different computational cryptography for mining, so it is unsuitable for the SHA256 processing cores in the ASIC. looks like cryptonight is designed for CPUs with 2MB of L2 cache and random number generator. ccminer is a different program to cgminer, also the "-a" switch is for algorithm change. So basically, No, you cannot use the BM1384 ASIC for other algorithms.

SHA256 only, so basically bitcoin only, there are some other SHA256 coinage out there, but they may or may not be worth it (here is an old list, some may not be active anymore: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=482002.0)

Again ty for your support... So ... Bitcoin sound's good. Next step is ... If mining it's a lotterie base on pool hash vs your's less pool hash number == hier chance you have and by the same time better reward ? if it's Yes i will try small pool . Like MinerGate Bitcoin. with my new Gekko overclocked at 250MHz i will tell you if it's work...

Like MinerGate Bitcoin. with my new Gekko overclocked at 250MHz i will tell you if it's work... hello AdsepBitCoin you can mine 2 ways: - in a pool where you get rewarded with fraction of BTC for each share that your ASIC succesfully solves - in a solo pool, where you get rewarded with a full block (25 BTC) but only if you have the highest share of that block option 1: slow but garanteed BTCoption 2: no gain unless you have high hashing power or a lot of luck exemple: with 6 stick running at 320Mhs (~105Ghs), my highest share is 20 687 226. the last person to have solved a block on solo.ckpool had a best share of 252 987 485 486 which is 12229x more than me......and he has 125Ths (which is 1200x more than me) edit: feel free to PM me as I'm french and can help you if you find it easier than in english.
