Yes, in almost the entire league in the world, there's an unwritten rule about that in basketball once the team is already a sure win, please don't make any attempt to bring down much the losing team by doing "unnecessary shots" where the game is already called.

If it happened in the Suns' home, the Pelicans will surely react the same.

It now depends on who's team will ignore that sh*t and just walk off the court without showing any reaction.

We're in the modern days now, and they should just give it as a showtime for Zion or anyone who can have that slam dunk fest.

He is just enjoying the game for sure, I do agree that the Suns specially Ayton, I don't know what going in his head right now but he seems to be changing his attitude to becoming a prima donna now.

This is how the NBA should be, it's more than a game anyway. They need to cause some drama and excite the fans so that they will be getting an audience next time. Also, they might be doing it for real or not, we are enjoying what we are seeing right now as long as they won't hurt each other physically because if it's all just beef, then let them do it because they might want to be more than a player too, you know?

With Devin Booker, Crowder, Cam Johnson, and Washington Jr out for the Suns, there is a high probability that the Pelicans will win this game again. The Pelicans are playing without the service of Brandon Ingram, Herbert Jones, and Liddell though. It will be a good match. We know that Alvarado can easily go under the skin of CP3 and ruin his game. We saw that last season in the playoffs. I want to see that again in their game later. It is too early for me to watch but I will heed your advice and make an early bet. Hope it hits.

It was really personal, and Zion Williamson's logic is like that of Luka Doncic, both of them have some personal beef against the Phoenix Suns, while the Suns are pretty much getting these things out of hand and Zion Williamson and Luka Doncic had made a fuel over the Phoenix Suns like their drive in winning every game, on the beginning of the season we can see Phoenix Suns making a great game and topping the standings on the start of the season but upon having a game with the Dallas Mavericks where Luka Doncic is, and the New Orleans Pelicans where Zion Williamson is, they keep on having lost when they are up against those teams,


In the recent Golden State Warriors VS Boston Celtics game, I thought that the Boston Celtics could win it, making them the best rival for the Golden State Warriors just like the last season, I thought that the tandem of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown will get them to the top and beat the Warriors up, but the Tandem of the Celtics was beaten by the Poole Party in their latest game, that Poole Party is one heck of offensive firepower than the Jay Tandem and pretty much the upcoming start that is Jonathan Kuminga is performing pretty well, there is no chance for the Celtics now if this continues, it will be like the last season where the Warriors take the championship,

I'm a bit late to comment about that Zion late game dunk. I think everyone's aware that it's an unwritten rule not to showoff while you're already winning by a huge margin. Any team would have been mad about that but probably not everyone will be as aggressive. It's not the first time this has happened and it won't be the last.

I also read an Ingram tweet about people comparing Booker and Ayton to Kobe and Shaq. I think that would add more spice to the rivalry of these two teams hehe.

I'm surprised that this game went to OT, I was watching in the 4th quarter but the Sixers already had a good lead, I'm surprised when I come back that the game was already in overtime. Still plenty of time left, but it's still the sixers who are leading in the OT period.

Lakers made a good comeback in the fourth quarter that's why it went into OT. It was wild as we thought that Sixers is going to win already, I mean 9 points down with less than a minute if I'm not mistaken then forcing an OT that could really hurt the Sixers.
The Lakers though have a chance to win if only Davis hit both free throws with 3.7 left.
But the good thing is that they keep themselves, composed and didn't let that huge comeback by the Lakers hurt the team.

Not only Davis, but Reaves could have given the Lakers a one point lead if he just make all 3 FT, unfortunately he hits 2/3. And they still have a good chance this time it was on Davis shoulder, but then again 1/2.
In the OT it was not even close, the Lakers scored their only point in OT when the game is already decided.
Pat Bev drives for a 2 point and that's it. And this could be one of the greatest comeback though if Lakers win in OT.

Embiid played really well for Philadelphia 76ers. He started the game in a really devastating way. And that was very challenging to contain for Lakers. James Harden was at the heart of everything that was happening for Philadelphia 76ers. He had really smooth coordination with both Melton and Embiid.

For Lakers, Russell Westbrook, and Anthony Davis actually had good coordination in this game. Actually, Lakers played really well. But they did face some difficulties on the defensive side. I think if Lakers can start defending a bit better, they will be able to bring results in their favor.

He did, just think of it, Joel Embiid alone scored 20 points in the 1st quarter while the Lakers have a combined effort of 20 points to end the quarter. That quarter alone meant
something that the Lakers should start to reflect on their actions and the 76ers also got a huge help from their young guard, Melton, who got 66.7% from 3-point field. Note, what more if Maxey was there, I guess the Lakers would've been buried more even if they got a good night and WB got a tripe double.

The New York Knicks have won three games by double digit margins. Yes, you didn't misread. They succeeded but i don't think they can achieve the same success against their current rivals. The Sacramento Kings have made a surprise debut this season and continue to do so. They have four wins in the last five games. Even though things didn't go well in Milwaukee away they were able to overcome the Cleveland obstacle. We can say that New York has been defending relatively well lately. The status of De'Aaron Fox, who missed the last game in Kings, is uncertain. There is also uncertainty for Keegan Murray. This can affect Kings score strength. I think the Knicks priority will be to disrupt their opponent's offensive rhythm. It will not be a satisfactory match as a score.

Probably there is this unwritten rule between team and players, about show boating and stuff when obviously you have the lead and win the game already.

Nevertheless if the Suns feels disrespected then they should try and get it back tonight although it will still be in the homecourt of the Pelicans. So if the Suns take this personal, then give us a good show and see if they can level the score with a great victory at the Pelicans own home court. Otherwise, Pels have the numbers on them. Good point in terms of giving Walker and Reaves that exposure. They needed to feel that pressure as early as now to make them ready if ever that they move up to the next round.

Davis, if he can get that rest, is also good. They have Bryant to take care of the boards. They just need to give
him that minutes and let him touch the ball, he can contribute if Lakers will also let him play to give
more minutes for Davis to rest.

The interesting thing is that, beating a team is not like a personal thing where you do it to spite them or anything. Suns did beat Pelicans, but that has nothing to do with Pelicans, didn't just eliminated them to make them angry or something, it was to go further stages, weird, what should have they done, lose?

I would understand if last time they faced each other, someone from Suns did something similar, so this would be a response, but elimination? Really? That is a very loser type of reaction, if you were good then you would beat them, you were not good enough and that is why you lost, simple as that and this move is just a big loser moment for pelicans and zion.

Right or wrong it's a respect thing, once the game is finalized most teams hold the ball to the final whistle and in the same respect the defense doesn't go hard fouling a team at the very end of the game.  Just one of those unwritten rules.  I mean I get it, big deal but imagine if someone went and fouled him hard, everyone from the Pelicans would flip out too because why play defense when it doesn't matter right?  That's why the mutual ypu don't do it we won't either and it breaks that rule.  Protects guys all around from getting unnecessarily hurt.

Can they afford that though? Currently, they are the 13th seed in the Western Conference and 3 games behind the 10th seed Dallas Mavericks. They need all the wins they can get to at least have a shot for the 10th seed for the play-in. Without AD or Lebron in the lineup, they are having a hard time winning games. Sure, Lebron and AD will be healthy but it will be harder for them to get to playoffs considering how tough the competition in the west is. At this point, it may be hard for them to qualify for the play-in tournament.

The Pelicans are in the lead with under 6 minutes left in the game. It is just a six-point lead but all the Pelicans have to do is maintain that lead. I guess the Suns will lose back-to-back against the Pelicans. They were not able to give a payback to what Zion did to them in the last game.

Nothing we can do about it as that unwritten rule during garbage time was already taking place for a long time.

We can't just say that teams should do this, do that, do, etc. Lots of concerns were already being raised regarding that unwritten rule.

Phoenix Suns clearly just overreact during that game and in fact, they didn't realized that they also did those kinds of unnecessary plays too before where the game is already settled but still they are still trying to do extra damage to the losing team that was already called it good.

Simply, they don't know how to react to tasting their own medicine.
