Golden State Warriors is a type of team that doesn't rely on center.

For the draft, I think they will pick a Small Forward/Power Forward to cover Durant or Igouadala's hole.

Next season, Curry and Thompson is expected to come back so no need to fill the PG and SG spot. They have Draymond Green too which I think will be back again on being an aggressive now that his source of power (the splash brothers) will now come back. :p

Thanks for sharing the article as I read on the previous page that it was related to Covid-19 risk why Lillard doesn't want to play. It's now clear to me that he just dislikes the proposal of...

He wants to play but in a format that will give advantage to his team.

They are just 3 wins behind the 8th spot so I don't think he will give up easily.

But can he dictate the format? No... if that is the format then the team just have to follow it, what would people say if he will not play but they are required to play, is there any kind of sanction for players who refuse to play?

Let's hope that they take care of their body if that happens, I am sure as always Lebron would be the one that takes care of heat the most and readies his body to it Also I think no matter when they come back there will be some fatter people, like I think Harden could gain like 10 lbs easily, he looks like that kind of person .

They are professional and paid, so it is their duty to keep the weight in the right amount proportion for their bodies.

Yeah, I have the same thought they won't need shooters but needs an addition with defense.
What if they will be playing against teams like Denver with Jokic or Lakers with McGee and Davis.
Sure they could fight a barrage of three's against a Houston team but a back-up center is needed for other teams.

Maybe he is the only one that said it, but in the case that NBA goes for that option that each team plays 70 games in order to fulfill the contract obligations,  many other teams will see those games as basically recreational, and will probably play with bench warmers. After all, similar thing happens at the end of every regular season, when some team looses it's chance for playoff.
I would like to see if Lillard will be so adamant about not playing if they cut his salary proportionally to games missed. Somehow I think that he would change his mind quickly All of them are very loud, until you threaten them with salary cut.

I say keep it simple and move families away from the camp. Less people involved in all this, less chances that virus will spread, and it will be much easier logistically. It's not like they won't see their families for years. They can survive month or two of separation, especially nowadays with various means of communication.

The organization has to do this kind of rules so players will not abuse their position, though a star player or not, an equal treatment is necessary, people watch games to see a star player, games would be boring for them if they don't see their idol. It's the National Basketball Players Association which might want to push this kind of method.
A good plan but will it be worth it if suddenly one of them is hit by the virus.

Exactly! Infact the NBA playoffs usually runs for about 2 months depending on how the game goes, but more than 2 months would be the maximum if most of the matches reach a full seven game series.
It would always be the best option if they keep their families away from any NBA camps and facilities at this dire situation. Focusing on the players, coaching staff, camera men, and other personnel's health security and carefully implement precautionary measure and guidelines would be the priority.

As much as you pray for George family, gotta also pray for the police officer(s) who were involved in this evil. As hard as it is, pray for them instead of hate them...Pray that God changes their hearts.

It is a good one.
I guess other people misunderstood it because they are being consumed by hate.
His view is different because he is a Christian and also he could be exhausted by all the hate coming out of social media.
That is the right thing.
Bring justice for the guy but do not solve hate by putting more coal into it.

He is a coward when everyone wanted to play he is out there telling people not to expect from anything from him when the season resumes. even though the association has not yet announce the schedule when they will resume the game. I think there will be no problem about the games when they resume it. after all, when all of the countries are COVID free, we will be back in our normal life and they can play the game like they used to. If we're like him, I will never say such a thing because it will discourage other players to play even the fans will not be happy to hear it.

If I am a NBA player, I would want to keep away my family from all this, and not additionally endanger them, by being quarantined by bunch of other people. I really don't get those that can't be away from family for 2 months, especially when you know that you are keeping them safe by doing that.

Nothing really. He speaks from his Christian POV. Funny thing, those players are most likely Christians too, but just on "paper", or when it fits them like on Christmas or other holidays. Not many have strength and courage to say something like that. Worst of all, it seems that somehow they interpret that as defending those police officers who all deserve long jail sentences for what they did ( but I doubt that they will get more than few years max, if even that).

If they can somehow find a method to come back, I am sure they will reconsider the family thing as a back up plan and not something that is vital. But what you are forgetting is the simple fact that the world is in a bit of a danger right now, there is too many people who are dying every single day, over 350k people died in total, so players may want their families with them because of it.

If it was like Olympics where they just leave to another nation and not come back for a month or so, that would have been fine, the family is having a joyful period at home not even caring where you are, hell it is a bit nice sometimes to get the man of the house leaving so the kids and the mom could have fun times, I remember it because I was a kid and did stuff behind my dad without him knowing .

But this is different, there is a huge pandemic going on and now it is getting a bit better but it is still there, hence why players may want families closer to them, not because they would miss them, but because they want to keep an eye on them.

 Depends on the player and their families situation really. If you think that getting all of your family involved would probably help them, you will want them and keep them safe. Or if you think making them stay at home is safer you will want that? I mean I don't know which one is safer, it all depends on what you want and if I am so rich and can basically make sure my family is safer at home I would prefer that easily. After all you have millions of dollars and you have a huge house and you can hire people to bring whatever is needed to your house and you could hire helpers to your house that you can trust and just risk them instead and your family will be fine. If you are however some end of the bench minimum level payment person with taxes and all that you are basically not living that rich and getting your family involved could be better.

I'm not opposing the idea but much better if family members will instead stay at home for good.

People have to understand that there are really changes from now on as Covid-19 is still here. But honestly, even with that plan, I think most NBA player's families will stay home.

Sounds of a hassle to me and additional work if these families will also be involved and subjected to regular coronavirus testing protocols instead the focus is only for all players, team staff, or any people that really needed in the place.

Yeah, it's amazing how the rookie is already wise at his young age.
I didn't even have a thought of that.
That is pure love. It's not easy to have that kind of mindset with all the hate that is being thrown in that policeman.
Many will just go with the flow and feel the same thing.

He's head bloated already? nah! that's not a good attitude he didn't even give a championship to the blazers yet and he demand those things up? Maybe it's best if he will contribute more so that his team will land to playoffs to much talks cannot contribute anything. Best if he motivate his teammate by good works and help the other player who's not contributing well, for releasing that statement he sounds like he's invincible and no one cannot take his current position.
