Chris Paul is buying a women’s soccer team. That is a pretty impressive financial move and a bit of a gamble but if he wants to get into women’s soccer in his golden years more power to him. As a business man, it is pretty impressive that he is able to invest potentially hundreds of millions of dollars in something like that.
He’s clearly preparing for his future. With a net worth of around $180 million or even higher, I think it’s best that he invests the money he earned in his career. That way, when he retires, he’ll stay busy with business instead of just spending his hard-earned cash. Too many NBA players became victims of that mistake, they ended up broke or even homeless after retirement. I wonder how much he is buying that w- soccer team?

I've just seen this on the X page of LA Clippers and Kawhi is on the list which means that he's not yet traded or we don't know what actually is happening or if he's going to stay there. Although this is just a camp, the trade deadline is until February 6 based on NBA's website, correct me if I'm wrong with that and there are still a lot that can happen with Kawhi and the LA Clippers, right?
That roster doesn’t look like a playoff team to me… We’ll see I guess. I don’t think Kawhi moving teams is a certainty. Nobody else probably wants the headache. It won’t be long now before he’s on the court. With only 3 weeks left until the season starts, it is time to get excited. I can’t wait. Yeah, they don't seem a strong candidate for this season. But we've seen it plenty times that rosters can't really be judged if they're a playoffs team or not. It looks decided that Kawhi is going to stay with the Clippers, no takers and yes, no more headaches.
Much better if he's going to put his money in there. It's an investment but yeah, we'll not know if it will be fruitful for him. But that's part of investing and maybe he's seeing that it's going to be a good market in the next years since women sports seems to be going in a bull run as well.

This is a very bold investment; Chris Paul is taking a truly big gamble. I respect him; not many people can make such an investment. He's still young, and as a businessman, he has many years ahead of him. He might lose money on this investment, but at least he'll gain experience. Making money by buying a football team isn't easy; many celebrities have lost a lot of money trying. Chris Paul won't be doing this alone, so he won't lose much. Many NBA fans will now be Angel City fans

DeAndre Ayton looked good at his media day appearance. I really think he is being underestimated as an addition to the Lakers. His contract and abilities make him one hell of a pickup for them. I think he was an underrated piece of the Suns championship run and as soon as he left they became terrible. With him as a #4 option on the team, I think he will thrive this season. He just needs to stay healthy and get a little more aggressive. He's the perfect piece for the Lakers though, and I think they're 1 or 2 additions away from a championship roster. Wiggins would address one of those missing pieces...

I mean it is obvious that he is not going to stay with the team for long, but that also doesn't mean that he shouldn't trade with them neither. We should be able to see them do a fine job and just keep going with whatever they have and shouldn't be really kicking him out. I understand that it is not going to eb great for him to be left out, so they just added him in but will either trade him anyways or will just say he is injured or something. Basically nothing will change and we are going to see Kawhi leave one day. Will it be soon? Will it be November or something? We have no idea anything could happen, they are not going to give him up for free but I am certain about his pending trade, he is going to go to another team.

There's no update yet or any negotiation about trading him and as mentioned above he's still in their lineup meaning that if the management decide to play him and use him they can still make it happen, though same with what you said, there's no guarantee that he'll going to stay as there's a big possibility that he might be traded to another team that's willing to risk and offer for him. As of this moment, the right is still with the Clippers, and I also agree that even he's listed the management can bench him and declare as he is in the injury list. Anything can happen along the way as the trade deadline still on up to next year.

I think that many are really underestimating him being added to the team. And that's why many fans are not optimistic on how it will be for them. But it's still too early to underestimate him and we have to watch him play with the actual him and on how he's going to contribute. I wonder how much he is buying that w- soccer team?
The team is worth $280M but he didn't have to buy in that. I can't find any source on how much he has contributed and invested to that team. But it's said to be a minority stake.

Yeah, but with the Suns, I think it's more of the coach to blame. It's obvious that he didn't like Ayton, maybe he was expecting big on him that time. But still he is one important piece as to why they reached the finals that time but just fell short against the Bucks. But let's see with the Lakers, he has gained so much confidence when he left the Suns. And he will be the Center, so more playing time for him. And with players like Luka and Lebron who is know to be a lob passer, for sure Ayton will have a lot of time scoring from the assists and might blossom to be a good center next season.

NBA Media Day was held. Teams are slowly falling into place. Friendly matches will be held in Abu Dhabi and Melbourne. Also in Brooklyn, Hapoel Jerusalem will play against Brooklyn Nets. I like to watch games like this because NBA teams and teams from other countries don't get the chance to face each other very often without these events.
Which teams do you think will stand out this season? In recent years we have seen different champions. Will a new champion emerge this season? Is there a team that you see as the frontrunner?

In Phoenix you can see players like KD and Booker, They are shooter for perimeter or go to ring guy. In Lakers you will have Luka and Lebron for Ayton. Those guys have eagle eye and know how to pass first before getting a look for the basket. I really think Ayton will have a better basketball with Lakers. We will see his talent better than before, just put more practice and keep healthy.

Golden State Warriors and Jonathan Kuminga finally reached 2 years 48 million dollars contract extension agreement after going back and forth all summer not willing to give in to each other demands, both parties have found a common ground, even though this could all be a temporary agreement for a potential mid-season trade for the Warriors. From the media day I saw a clip from the Dallas Mavericks of Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving and Cooper Flagg all together in #1 mini shoot, and it was really cool..

I was just reading about that. It looks like the Warriors are trying everything they can in order to keep Steph happy and compete. I like this pickup for them. I think the Horford deal was a good one for them also. They should be a decent playoff team if Green can still play. LeBron would be a better add though.

Definitely a nice pickup for some shooting off the bench. Still, it also looks a bit like a desperation moves, signing guys that haven't been signed yet by any other team. Still, I always liked Seth Curry and I hope he can help the team at least a little bit. He is already 35 years old as well so his window is closing quick. There’s a reason why they signed him. Based on my observation, I believe Seth Curry is a good shooter too, it’s just that his defense isn’t as strong. Compared to his brother Steph, who has already improved his defense, that’s where Seth falls short. But it’s nice to see them finally on the same team, so their parents won’t have to be divided anymore when cheering like in the past when their teams faced each other.

I’d love to see Lebron and Steph play together on the same team at least once before either of them retires. But getting Lebron to the Warriors would cost a lot. The real question is whether the Warriors are willing to take that risk and pay such a high price. Curry and Butler already have salaries of over $50 million each. Still, it would be so much fun to watch them together, Lebron as the facilitator, and when needed, he can always step in offensively. Just imagine how wild it would get with Curry and LeBron fans, especially since those two groups are usually the ones trash talking each other all over social media. Lol.

Not sure about that. If LeBron plays with the Warriors, that means he’d have to be the main man, because I’ve never seen LeBron play on a team where he’s just a secondary option. And honestly, I don’t think it will happen anyway, because as you said, it would cost the Warriors a lot. Jimmy and other players would probably have to be traded just to make room for LeBron. LeBron hasn’t even proven that a team improves just by trading for Luka, so he’d have to prove it first. Otherwise, it’s not safe to assume the Warriors would get better with LeBron on the roster. Personally, what I’d like to see is them competing against each other as future Hall of Famers. A real star doesn’t need to pair with another star just to win a ring.

I think Thunder was still a favorite here but, I'd like to highlight the Rockets and Lakers too and props to one of their leaders like Luka and Sengun, they are dominant in the EuroBasket and do hope they'll bring that energy in the coming season. Well, for the last 7 years we have different teams named Champions, I think these season it's like a new one will emerge but I think Thunder has chance to make a back-to-back one, just a wild guess here.

It's a win-win situation for both Kuminga and the Warriors. For the side of the Warriors, they can just trade him anytime just in case he plays awful in this regular season. That team-option on the final year of the contract is a big leverage for the Warriors as well so that in case he plays awful during the playoffs (assuming that they clinch the playoffs), the team can just decline on that final year putting him to free agency next season. Now for the side of Kuminga, if he didn't agreed to this contract, he will only be getting $8M qualifying offer this season so at least he got an extra $14M as well. Aside from that, I can't see any more benefit from him. The only bad thing here is Kuminga will have limited minutes and because of that, he will have limited development as well. I wonder how he will be playing under Coach Kerr's system knowing that he doesn't fit the system of the Warriors... or at least that's what we saw last season.

Last season, Spurs listed Wembanyama as 2.21 meters tall, but this year he's listed as 2.24 meters tall. I saw this information online. Could this be true? Is it biologically possible for someone this age to grow taller? Or was the measurement taken incorrectly last year?

Current odds are in favor with OKC https://www.sportsbookreview.com/picks/nba/finals-odds/ and it seems that many people still believe that they could able to have back to back championship this season. But I think it became more challenging for them to hit that target knowing that lots of team made a major upgrade on their rosters. Seems everything is unpredictable now and that makes NBA exciting since I guess the level of competitiveness would became different compare to what we have seen last season.
