Someone has added support for Nxt tx signing for the Trezor, I tried it and its working pretty well.. You can even use both Bitcoin and Nxt addresses for the same secret key..

https://nxtforum.org/index.php?topic=4550.msg171812#msg171812

Have you guys considered merging his changes into the Trezor codebase?

Can someone give me a step by step on how to change the Trezor idle graphic using Windows 8.1 please? I wish it was just part of MyTrezor.com where you could select an image and tell it to use it. Thanks.

Step 1) Get https://github.com/trezor/python-trezor installed
Step 2) Change homescreen using proper commands

I decided to no longer use a signature, because people were trolling me about it.

A user-friendly homescreen upload should come with next myTrezor.com release if I remember well.

Extracting the Private Key from a TREZOR... with a 70 $ Oscilloscope
http://johoe.mooo.com/trezor-power-analysis/
johoe, same guy who returned 250 coins to blockchain.info. Very impressive.
impressive is THE perfect word here...  Shocked

I second that, Johoe is a very smart guy and very gentleman.

ok, i have updated my trezor.

when i plug it in, it asks for the pin. after i punch in the pin it shows the device name but that is it. it does not ask for the passphrase. what should i do ?  (tried several times to disconnect it and plugged it in again. always the same. it seems to try to load something, but it never gets there.)

have you tried to plug it in another computer? or to run it with electrum instead of mytrezor plugin ?

tried several computers. getting worried. lots of coins...

i will write costumer support now.

Why on earth would you be getting worried? Didn't you write down the seed?

Also, they warn people to move coins temporarily during an update if they have large balances just in case. You can create a new wallet from the seed and password and then wipe the Trezor and start over and then send the funds to the wiped and new seeded Trezor. After wiping you might want to run the firmware update again just to be safe. As long as you have your seed and know your password the coins are safe and there is nothing to worry about.

Also, on the website have you gone into advanced options and checked the box for password use? The plugin might have updated and the option might have gotten unselected. The Trezor doesn't know if you have a password. It is up to the website or wallet software to prompt for one. Without a password you have a distinct wallet with its own keys. With the password you have another wallet with different keys. It may be as simple as the option to prompt for the password having gotten unselected.

ok, i contacted support and followed their suggestions (wipe the device)   it was kind of exiting to wipe it.

all accounts restored, the coins are safe, trezor is running fine.

everything is fine, the support was precise, friendly and fast.

As long as you have your seed safely backed up nothing to ever worry about. Glad you got your Trezor working correctly again and restored access to your hard earned bitcoins. :-D

in response to 600watt this would have been my tip, see the advanced options before wiping. the wallet was most probably just fine and did not prompt for password, no need to wipe & restore. but good to read you found your way

When updating firmware, is the recovery seed always required?

Only if the update goes FUBAR. Normally it updates and you just keep using it. No wiping or reseeding.
