[Announcement] Avalon ASIC Batch #1 Ships

I'm incredibly interested in what'll happen to the network if/when Avalon's bulk of units arrives. Until then though I'm happy with whoever is holding onto those units as it lets my GPUs grind a few more coins Information from Avalon would be really nice even as a guy that has no money on the line.

Not really, they are working their ass off to keep their promise and ship 300 units of batch #1 this month.

So naturally you must know something that the rest of us don't?

Perhaps he recognizes that Avalon is the only company to ship any ASIC products at all? Perhaps he perceives that they've done this in 1/2 the time the "market leader" has been developing their vaporware?

I've no idea. I imagine we'll have a clearer picture on those remaining units when their shipping deadline is actually reached.

i like to think that is the chinese version of batch 1 delivery to show ppl in his country that it exists
and allowed discussion. that is why most people say 3 are in the wild but no more.

Odd how the hash rate ramped up tho. Last week, 8000 mh/s then what looks like an avalon coming on after it.
Before 8000 mh/s looks like just a few gpus... Then a lot of gpus... Then an avalon?

Whats low? Any idea what number they started on?

In any case, I'm pretty sure they haven't shipped (meaning released to a major shipper) mine— and so I'm doubtful they've shipped anyone elses.

(I'm going to take a totally WAG— pure speculation— that to resolve the costly shipping they put the units they shipped out on a cargo ship, and at some point they land at a port in the US and get handed off to a carrier)

Yifu posted they are looking at the payment date, not the order date, which makes sense
