Hi

Is it possible to upgrade Cgminer to 4.9.1 on minepeon 2.4.6 ?  It's for can working with my antminer U3

U3 is not reconised on provided Cgminer version on minepeon and only like a Antminer U1 on Bfgminer.

Thanks for helping me...

Yes it is possible. There are some tutorials/walkthroughs on the minepeon forums. Unfortunately the search function is pretty bad on that forum so I can not find it for you:

http://minepeon.com/forums/

Here's a link to a guide on updating the BFGMiner version in MinePeon: http://minepeon.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1151

I think I can remember that something changed that the command to start the miner changed. Try starting the miner through the terminal by typing whatever is written in the readme of cgminer. Sorry, I can't offer more help as I personally use BFGMiner. Best of Luck.

Dear Miners,

I'm very new to mining. I would like to build my own rig with Raspberry PI. I have a few questions:

1. Is Raspberry Pi 3 Model B SBC supported?
2. If I 6 USB Erupters, like the one done in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJSITD0sPVY total is around 38 GH. How much can this configuration generate? Is there a web site that calculates the approximate earning?

I appreciate your help very much.

1. I've not tried it on a PI3 yet. I'll Move my Pi2 minepeon SD card into my Pi 3 and see if that works. If anyone has it running on a PI 3 please post and let us know if it just works or what changes you had to do to get it working.

2. Coinwarz has comparisons and profit calculators for different coins. part of it how power you are using and how much that power costs.

38GH/s at 500W and $.10 kW/Hr (cheapish) the best you can do is lose about a dollar a day. power costs more than the coins make.

1. I've not tried it on a PI3 yet. I'll Move my Pi2 minepeon SD card into my Pi 3 and see if that works.

minepeon 0.2.4.6  not booting on my raspberry pi 2.
dd-ing the image with command: dd if=minepeon.img of=/dev/sdX bs=4M
when power plugged in, the screen had no signal.

tried to change hdmi_safe=1 and hdmi_force_hotplug=1, but no luck.
tried again to change hdmi_drive=2 and uncomment two prev config, still minepeon not booting.

usually I use raspbian from rpi2, not problem at all.

is it possible sd card incompatibility?

please tell me how to install minepeon for rpi2 correctly thanks.

minepeon 0.2.4.6  not booting on my raspberry pi 2.
dd-ing the image with command: dd if=minepeon.img of=/dev/sdX bs=4M

finally minepeon booted up on rpi2.
make 2 primary partition on sd card, 1st primary for boot 100M, and the rest is 2nd partition for root.
extract boot folder from ArchLinux ARM rpi2 archive to boot partition,
and extract root folder from minepeon image to root partition.

Why is it asking for a sudo password when trying to enter "Update MinePeon Configuration"? Don't know any other password than "peon". Sad

I've seen BTC mining builds with these mini computers and about 3 USB docks with block eruptors out the wazoo. How worthwhile is that?
