How much donation is minepeon taking automatically?

Is there a posibilit to tell cgminer via the website that it should use loadbalancing with the entered pools?

Not yet, its one of those features that is waiting on the live update (still a work in progress, it is looking good but when it stuffs up it does it with style).

15minutes per day? That would be 1% i guess. And you mentioned settings. In what range can this be adjusted?

You can set it to zero if you want (it is a donation after all), just don't be surprised if you hear kittens crying Tongue .

No, I assume you're trying to get to the development stuff (you did not give a lot of information).  Development stuff has been moved to git, I have updated the documentation.

Here are the git repos for you to play with, everything is there apart from the source to Arch Linux and the miner code (they have their own repos).

Enjoy!

In theory yes, I believe they use the ZTEX driver (tested) but as far as I know no one has actually tested a cairnsmore.

cheers for the reply Neil , On a different subject , sometimes when there is a power failure , when the pi boots up , it sometimes boots up quicker than my router can connect to the net and then fails to start mining again untill I spot it . Sometimes minepeon just restarts , after a blackout no worries , sometimes not . Any suggestions ? .

Sounds like it isn't detecting when the network becomes functional. You could do it the quick and dirty way and just create a cron job to restart networking anytime it's not connected.

Making sure everything reboots quickly, automatically, and reliably. Sounds like somewhere I'd like to throw my donation time at  Grin Now if only I can get a raspi to start this all on  Roll Eyes

I am torturing one of my peons at the moment trying to replicate this (repeatedly yanking its network and power) and I am not having much luck yet.  I don't suppose you have a foolproof method of getting it to stuff up?

I did not write the Arch network library but if there is something wrong I will be pushing the fix.

Neil

P.S. you sound like you get a lot of power cuts.

When It rains the power can go off just for a couple minutes here and there  , also I think the wiring at my place is crap , the circuit breakers trip sometimes when I have the heaters flat out . Its super cold in Adelaide now. Its good for the devices though.

Im not complaining at all Neil , minepeon has been a godsend.

I did not think you we're complaining, you have found something that it does not recover from correctly.  If you can find me a way to replicate it I will have a shot at fixing it.

When it comes down to it, all the graphs, stats & ease of use are fairly useless if the miner is not up and going 100% of the time Wink .

Antifragile

I'm experiencing some weird behavior with version 2.1 of Minepeon.

When I got home I noticed my erupter light was on (something wrong).
I couldn't log in using SSH nor connect via the GUI, so I restarted it. All was working fine and I checked things via SSH. I noticed it took a while to connect.

Then using the GUI the status pictures were not displayed. (They showed as little 1/4" "broken" pics.)
I then tried changing the Timezone to Berlin time and it kept resetting it to the first in the drop down list - Africa. It also wiped away the 15 minute donation (So now I have to see the dead kitty message.)
Of note here, I'm in Germany and we are +1 hr, as it says in the Berlin drop down list, but it still has my time off by 1 hour. So I have to select +2 hours to get it to work right (when it was working there.)
I tried resetting the donation time and pressed set but every time it wiped it clean.

Any ideas or log files I can check out?

Appreciated,
IAS

I don't know if this will work for you but I have 3 Pi's running and one of them started acting very strange, kind of like what you are describing. I re-flashed the image to a different SD and all the problems went away. Might be worth a shot if you have an alternate SD you could try.

It happened to me as well, I thought I was going nuts!

Your SD card is going bad, you are not going insane.  If you reflash it might fix it (for now) but next time your in town pick up a new one.
