Any one else having problem with Win10 freezing?
I really like getting 117mhs again with my 4 cards but if this driver is just going to give headache after headache Im rolling back to Win7 and keeping my 105mhs.
I lowered mem from 2150 to 2100 and it ran a bit longer (previously 10 minutes before crashed windows) but its still crashing the system. Will new miner address issues with Win7 and blockchain drivers? Can anyone give advice for Win10 crashing with new drivers?

I have 2 rigs with RX580: W10+Aug11 Blockchain drivers=have no issues - works flawlessly for weeks.
I do OC sanely though. Try to run it with default settings.

Hi TechPark, how many GPU's you have on each rig, miner Claymore v9.8 and setting? what motherboard?

each card hashes at 29.5-29.7 MHs

1: 6x RX580 - 9.8 - MB - ASRock B250 Gaming K4 Motherboard
2: 2x RX580 - 9.8 - MB - ASRock B250 Gaming K4 Motherboard

Same setting on both rigs:

-epool asia1.ethpool.org:3333
-ewal YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.ZZZZZZ
-epsw x
-dbg 1
-r 1
-mport XXXX

AB:
-96
1300
2075
70

So I ended up getting rid of Windows 10. Restored my PC to Win7 and installed the robinhood driver; ONLY the robinhood drivers, no crimson or anything with amd radeon's website. Im back up to 117mh/s on 4 rx 480 8gb cards using AB 4.4.0 beta 16, been running just around 24 hours with no issues. Thank you RobinHood! Windows 10 Sucks.

Not the case here.
have never had any issues with Windows 10. Managing 20+ computers and laptops.

Thank you so much for your answer @TechPark!

Ideally you want to have 0 errors.
On most gpus I have 0, but on some I have 100ish and I am wondering if it is a big deal

When you ping continuously pool IP address what is the latency?
53ms

Did you select the closest to you pool (geographically)?
Yes

What is the value in ms for submitted share in claymore?
78ms

Have you tried another pool?
Are you on WiFi or cable?
I haven't tried another pool for a while now.
For personal reasons I have to be on wifi for a couple of months then on cable for next couple of months.
I have noticed that while on wifi the reject rate is higher and I can live with it. What I am trying to figure out is mainly the Incorrect shares, which are ~0.8-1% even though on most gpus I have 0 memory errors
Actually, I have gpus with 0 memory errors that produce more Incorrect shares than gpus with 100ish errors. So I am tending to believe Incorrect shares come down to tight memory straps after all

I have some questions for anyone who can answer:

  • What is the acceptable amount of GPU memory errors? 0? <10? <100? <1000? etc...
  • How come my GPUs give incorrect shares without having GPU memory errors?
  • My incorrect / submited shares ratio is ~1% (usually a bit less). is this normal?

Mining Dual ETH+DCR on Windows with 8x RX 580 8GB Nitro+

I know that quoting myself is pretty lame but, anyone?

The errors you see would include both: those that were corrected and those that were not.
Depending on the algorithm the impact of the errors can vary.
The most error tolerant algo (among the memory intensive ones) is ethash, likely due to mostly mem read operations.
And the least tolerant to mem errors seems to be Cryptonight

Thank you for your answer @Ursul0

Okay, understood. But could explain the fact that I get Incorrect shares from gpus with 0 memory errors ?

Is it because of tight memory straps on the modded BIOS?

Dear @all, I reached this topic thanks to some answers here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2137516.new

So if I understand, I can mine ETH with my 5xRX580 Nitro+ (8GB) and other cryptos. Anyone with a similar configuration can give me more infos?

We're considering to enlarge our mining farm and this GPU RIG is our test case, and seems that Claymore's Dual Miner fits our needs.

Thank you in advance,

regards

Claymore, Can you check Miner API Webserver?

Older versions has no problem when i try to fetch HTML source code from it, with dual miner only can download the JSON response and 1-2 line.
Thats problem from you changed the gray bg to black. Old XMR miner works well.

So getting ready for the new version...Anybody know what power consumption is like with lbry compared to DCR or SIA ?  Figured it was easier to ask around than to take a rig offline, change the power cord to 120v, plug in the wattmetter and check for myself.

Hi! Thx Claymore a lot for a great free mining tool.
I'm super new to mining, dove into it a couple of days ago, cuz tried to sell my rx 470, and 8 out 10 potential buyers were miners. Got me somewhat interested.

Two days ago i got my card to make 27eth+810dcr mh/s . But now, with all the same settings and software, i can only push it to 23-24 mh/s.

Some dude posted almost the same symptoms: http://[Suspicious link removed]/p/1lu1wb9
I thought I'm quite great at googling stuff, but I can't find any info about this recent hashrate drop.
Pls, could anybody shed some light on the matter, is 9.9 release aiming to solve such problem? Huh

P.S. I am using stock config of 9.8. Also tried to add them setx lines for AMD from OP, no difference at all.

v10.0:

- added assembler kernels for ETH+LBC mining mode (AMD cards only), major speedup for LBC.
- about 1% ETH speedup for Vega cards.
- fixed issues with voltage/clocks management for latest AMD blockchain drivers (not completely).
- new GPU sorting method for NVIDIA cards. Now GPUs are sorted by physical bus index (it matches AfterBurner list of GPUs).
- for ETH+LBC mining mode maximal "dcri" value is 1000 now.
- added "-platform" option.
- added "ESTALE" option support in failover file epools.txt (see "-estale" option for details).
- several minor bug fixes and improvements.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

Are Vega cards a good option for mining?

Getting 41.5 MH/s on ETH with the new version.  Economically though, they're too expensive to justify the ROI.  Wait a bit for the prices to come down and the 3rd party cards to come out with better cooling.

Just updated, with RX 580 not changes on MH/s but now I can set voltage/clocks without problems (robinhood driver)!

Thanks!!!  Cheesy
