This is a thread for the Claymore dual miner, not your rig setup and tech support.

1/. Open a browser
2/. Type "How to Mine XXX" and "How to setup SMOS"
3/. Go through the hundreds of videos and tutorials that have already gone over the basic questions you are asking.

Thanks so much but i just seen some videos but nothing that explain ho mining cryptonight with claymore 10.2.

Can you show me something?

Is it possible to select DAG epoch # that will be selected for mining? When miner selects epoch #155 my GTX970 is running 9.5Mh ether and 95Mh Sia. When miner selects epoch #5 numbers are much better - 23Mh ether and 225 Mh Sia
What exactly is this epoch # ? I have found that in the recent miner version it can be up to epoch #299 but I can't understand how to get benefit from it.

Hi Guys!
Tell me please, what you need to install to run Claymore's v10.2 for Linux Ubuntu Server 16.04.03?
I have problems with work Claymore's, I see a mistake after a while: WATCHDOG: GPU * hangs in OpenCL call, exit
My steps are installing drivers for RX470 4G:
1. Updated kernel ubuntu to version 4.4.11
2. Install driver amdgpu-pro version 17.40
3. Install APP_SDK version 3.0.130.136
4. Install ADL_SDK version 10.2
What do I do?
after installing the amdgpu-pro, ADL, APP, path you need somewhere to draw?
Thank you!
APP_SDK and ADL_SDK are not useful

the kernel 4.4.11 is different from mine (I have latest on 16.04 LTS, the 4.10....).
Note I got ther just by making apt-get dist-upgrade and update  (and all possible update/upgrade)

check that when installing amdgpu-pro the dpkg compile phase does not end with an error (check the logs they name... eg, amdgpupro refused to compile with the 4.11 linux headers provided by ROCm)
If desperate, try to install ROCm
https://github.com/RadeonOpenCompute/ROCm
and afterward install amdgpu-pro for the OpenCL implementation (claymore don't use ROCm opencl implementation)

don't forget the large page options in grup config file... as said in the documentation,

It turns out that you need to install only amdgpupro and write GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="amdgpu.vm_fragment_size=9" in GRUB?

ROCm is also not necessary!?

You have installed Ubuntu server or Desktop?

Thank you!

There is a search bar in the upper right hand corner of the forum. Use it, it's there for a reason.
The miners include a README file that includes setup instructions and configuration options. As the file name implies, read them carefully. This isn't rocket science, I'm sure you can do it!

PLease there is somebody can help me to setup the group?

I have 8 Red dragons 8gb Gpus...
I don't know what to choose beetween Calymore 10.2, 10, or other and which string to set on them.
I just read the gravitymaster guide but i don't understan so much.

Thanks so much in advance.

This thread is for "Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.2 (Windows/Linux)" for the Claymore's Cryptonote miner head over here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=638915.5220 and ask your questions about Cryptonote mining there.

I'm new to mining, I have one rig running 6 rx580s. I noticed restarts caused by the devfee being unreachable. I added the nofee switch and mined for 24 hrs nonstop. I'm using simplemining and these are my current settings:

-wd 1 -r 1 -epool stratum+tcp://eth-us.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal $walletETH/$rigName -esm 0 -epsw x -allpools 1 -mport -3333 -asm 1 -mode 1

It's trying to go to us1.ethermine.org and can't get there.

https://image.ibb.co/buhLxm/miner_rebooting.png

Is there something I missed?

update:
I found a reference to us1.ethermine in epools.txt. It was commented out. I removed the # and added my rigname and now the devfee will seems to be mining from us1.ethermine.
But - I am still getting restarts caused by devfee. Now it won't mine us1.ethpool.org. I found this one in config.txt. I'm going to remove the # on it and see what happens. Am I the only one having this problem?

Update 2
Well, fooey. That didn't work. It just restarted after failing to connect to us1.ethermine.org. I'm at a loss here. The only thing I know to do is to use nofee. At least it'll run steady. I'd appreciate some help here, I don't want to steal the man's work but with so many restarts it's actually more shares mined with the slower speeds.

OK, I'm a hardheaded idiot. I slowed down the core clock and the memory clock - like several people tried to tell me to do. Now it works as designed. The restarts had NOTHING to do with the devfee or the mining software. Well, at least the next guy with the same problem I had can read this and try slowing down first - please learn from my mistakes.

I can't get my computer to mine.

Specs:
Sempron 145
2GB RAM
990fxa-ud7
Windows 10 64 bit
RX 580 x2 (17.4.4 driver)

I get EthDcrMiner64.exe has stopped working. It fails when it starts to build the OpenGL program for the GPUs.

I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling drivers, as well as different combinations of driver version and Claymore version.

I am at a loss as to how to fix this. Please help. Smiley

Hi, I am not expert, but i think the problem is only 2GB RAM on the MB

Try to set at least 16Gb virtual memory in windows.

I have 20GB virtual memory set.

Hi xxicrimsonixx, my computer has same specs than your and also EthDcrMiner64.exe has stopped working after 1 second. Have you found a solution for the problem? Thanks

Now when you guys say "It fails to start" is this the very first time you have tried mining or was your rig working for some days/weeks/months and has now just stopped working ?

Whether it is either one or the other I found I had trouble when I built a rig with only 2GB RAM, when I upped it to 4GB RAM the rig started mining OK - could have been a coincidence and may have just been something else I change and forgot about.

Anyone running Sapphire rx nitro+ 570 8g cards with Hynix memory at a rate higher than 25 Mh/s?  I can't seem to get the cards to run over 25 Mh/s even when running blockchain drivers and with running 1750 straps or the uber straps.  Hoping someone has found a way to make these things worth it.  I can get the cards with Micron memory to run at 27 Mh/s, but can't get any more with Hynix memory.  Looking for some suggestions.

All agreed!
ROCm is normally included in amdgpupro, but if you install it directly, you can get a more recent version (it was important when they introduced large page)... Normally installing amdgpu-pro, not even the grub patch (which only helps performance), should work.
My bet is on kernel incompatibility with amdgpu-pro (in fact with the included ROCm), but it may be a stupid detail, as often. good struggle.

And how polite of you is to ask about basic beginners information without trying to find this information for yourself, go through some guides, experience errors and success - like probably more than 80% of us? Asking for other people's time (the most precious thing) in the wrong thread and without offering nothing - I say that's cheeky.

Have you tried a different pool? On nanopool I only get 25 with my nitro plus. On nicehash I'm getting 28

Sigh. Looks like I spoke too soon. I got up this morning and both rigs had restarted at least ten times in six hours.  One of my rigs has no risers or expanders - all three cards are connected directly to the motherboard - so it's not bad risers. The same rig also has a 1200w power supply - so it's not a lack of power. Does it have something to do with Dwarfpool?
