For anyone who is using the motherboard MSI Z170A Gamining 5 and is experiencing instability issues and SMOS keeps restarting, here is how to resolve:

- Use Bios Version 1.C;

- Into BIOS
Settings>Advanced>PCI subsystem Setting
PEG 0 and PEG 1 set to Gen2
Above 4G Decoding set to Enabled

- Settings>Windows OS Configuration
Windows 8.1 / 10 = "Disabled"
Windows 7 = "Disabled"
MSI Fast Boot = "Disabled"
Fast Boot = "Disabled"

i tried your settings with MSI z170a Gaming M5
i just cant start the OS if i put 4+ GPUs
it works well with 4 gpus but couldnt boot if i put 5th GPU.
PS: I have the latest BIOS
Anyone has a solution?

With the last version not boot, I only managed with 1.C

I am not able to configure claymore with dual eth + decred pool dwarf and suprnova

-wd 1 -r 1 -epool stratum+tcp://eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal $walletETH/$rigName -esm 0 -epsw x -dpool dcr.suprnova.cc:2252 -dwal user.$rigName -dpsw x -allpools 1 -mport -3333
I got it, friend, thank you.
Now I want to know how to put a configuration of each individual rig, as well as see separate pool results

In the case in the pool all the rigs stayed as one?
Is there no way to make them appear separate?

Continuously have issues with the RX version daily, it will just error out, and go in a loop for about 10 minutes, until i go out there and move USB stick around to diff ports, reset about 10 times. It is very frustrating.

I am using BIOSTAR Board https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138436

Intel Pentium CPU https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA85V4SC8071

Crucial 4gb stick of ddr3 RAM

750W PSU powering the board

http://imgur.com/a/77yH0

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

claymore is def faster.

So it is an issue with using claymore miner. it is mining without any issues using optiminer miner for zcash...

Please address issue with claymore miner on zcash.

I have tested both Claymore and Optiminer ZEC miners.

Conclusion and IMHO, Claymore best on Windows, and Optiminer on Linux.

Claymore faster on Windows sure and some say Linux -- but Optiminer is very stable on Linux and smOS.

Currently, RX480, R9-390 and R9-Nano; total 33 rigs are selling Equihash to Nicehash, using Optiminer v1.7 on smOS latest kernel - very stable for weeks now. With smOS and SRR, farm uptime has been excellent.

Best performer for ZEC are the R9 cards. The RX480s are best on ETH but so so on ZEC.

What should be the overclock value for sapphire r9-390 card.

I could not find a reasonable value.

1140/1500/-20 Powerlimit

R9-390s are very easy to overclock and undervolt.... but its a hungry power hogger.

Yes, just use the $rigName string.
What is not possible is to make each ring connect in a different pool.
