Maybe someone can help me...i want to link Byteball to my blockfolio but i can only set GB's instead of bytes. How much GB is 3.000.000.000bytes?

Smiley

3 Billion Bytes = 3 GBytes

the unit of measure is : bytes, kilobytes, megabytes, gigabytes

Thanks bro

i hope everyone already filled out the poloniex coinrequest. After bittrex there must be a poloniex listing!!! bring it on guys!

It's also first of its kind to use DAG technology, be sure to address that in the request!
First DAG coin to actually be in livenet/production without people having to ask "developer please include my balance as it was on this date in the next milestone, look in your own books I do indeed own that much tokens" form of  deciding consensus.

Why is Byteball rising? I thought that after airdrop people will sell their byteballs...

Is Byteball really good?

big dump will hapen soon (it's usual after such rising).

without any doubt byteball is definitely good.

No, please don't. Im doing monthly invest and this will make the price too high.  Sad
We need to keep price down so all BTC whales will dump at cheap price to us.

First DAG coin

This reminded me about

I'm still not convinced that Byteball is a pure DAG coin, to prove my position I would need to generate a lot of transactions on Byteball network to show that in certain conditions (related to DAG topology) TPS growth is negatively impacted by necessity to pick the main chain. If you compared Ethereum (which calls itself blockchain) and Byteball you would see that they don't differ much:

If you looked at IOTA you would see this:

I'm not interested enough to make sure that my assumption is correct, but you could help by generating a lot of transactions and posting here the topology of the resulting Byteball DAG. Try 10 TPS on the testnet maybe?

Not sure if tonych thinks that I'm trolling so he ignores the question or he doesn't feel himself comfortable to be involved into a dispute regarding that issue. Anyway, a run on testnet would give some ballpark numbers on Byteball scalability potential thus giving 50% of the answer.

First DAG-coin. First.

It is nice to have our own dedicated troll, especially an enterprise-grade Iota-coin developer.

Ill write a short script to check any time troll is writing in this thread, then it means Byteball has done something very good, time to buy more.

First DAG-coin. First.

If the total order does not matter then why should we care? If it does matter then why is it DAG, not a CHAIN?

PS: Technically any blockchain is DAG, I don't see Bitcoin or Ethereum cheerleaders screaming "DAG".

Feel free to do that. My question was for tonych. Quite often I'm being invited to conversations with different people (not random BTT users) who ask technical questions about IOTA. Sometimes they ask to compare IOTA and Byteball. All I can do now is to share my concerns about Byteball not being "a DAG coin". When they ask about main dev answer I can only say that he hasn't answered yet. What should I reply to a simple "Why he can't give an answer to that question?"

Pretty frustrated with trying to untangle this project. It really needs some marketing minds to reach a normal thinking person like me, that likes to analyze things financially.

1) How many bytes (or is it MB) have been given out in each of the last rounds, by round, specifically?

Round 1) ?
Round 2) ?
Round 3) 0.0625 gb / BTC
Round 4) 0.0625 gb / BTC (145k BTC linked)
Round 5) 0.0625 gb

2) How many are left to give out, and will be given out?

3) Will they be given out at same rate?

4) Do I need to "Link" my BTC addresses now, does it matter, or can I wait until the 9th of May?

5) Is there no way to go back and claim for previous rounds now?

Thanks!

2) 1,000,000 GB minus 1% for dev, minus 1% for the first 100m wallets, minus 160,276 GB
3) Yes, until it changed
4) You can wait
5) No way

(alternative hub and witness service to byteball.org/bb) now displays its hub number of incoming connections (updated every minute).

May I suggest an explicit option to donate? Might cover some of the fees

Right (that's the address of the Witness). Very nice guys ! I had even not think of it  Shocked

Thanks for your support.

You may also help by pointing your wallets to wss://byteball.fr/bb (In your wallet settings->hub set wss://byteball.fr/bb) to get the witness validate more and more.

Yea, but it might encourage / inspire people if you put some information regarding donating on the website Smiley

- which I see you've done already, nice

Is it safe to change the hub to byteball.fr??  I would like to see how tonych feels about this just curious and I am all for decentralization of witnesses but how does the community decides if a witness is trustworthy?

My opinion, we have to give some support to guys who run witness nodes right now, because they are bleeding their own bytes, and it is so important to decentralize the network.
