If you know you have blackbytes, then you have a wallet.  Trading can done directly within the wallet.  Not sure where you were looking, but you should first look around in the wallet itself at the features it has.

1. How secure is the chat? I've read that it is encrypted, but can someone explain to me how that is done? Especially with chatpartners on different hubs.
Can the hub read the messages or even decide that chats are not encrypted? I mean they could change the code before they open the gates, without people realizing it.
And what kind of encryption is used?

It's end-to-end encrypted using AES.  The hubs only forward the encrypted messages, they can't see anything.  To deliver your message, your wallet connects to the recipient's hub (if it's different from your home hub).

The encryption keys are constantly rotated for perfect forward secrecy.  This has a side effect that if you restore from an old backup or try to use the same wallet on two devices (which rotate the keys independently), the keys get out of sync and your wallet can't decrypt a received message.  This is one of the common reasons for not receiving blackbytes, which are delivered through chat messages.

wow...the keys are constantly rotated? how long the keys rotate? if I change the dves the keys will rotate? if this is the case how can I make sure my coin safety? do not change dves? constantlty backup?

why are many people assuming once the airdrops are over the price will tank?

Seems a strange notion.

The functionality and real world use case for a project should determine its value once it is fully distributed.

Of course supply and demand short term but long term if this brings what it seems it can bring then the demand will be there.

I am expecting if this advances along as planned it should start picking up in price after the coins are all distributed.

I am a big hater of the initial distribution of this project and will never change my views on that. I do not believe early adopters in one coin deserve to auto take the lions share of all future crypto without having to risk a single satoshi of their btc mountains.

I will never understand why a simple null of the top 2% of wallets was not conducted without announcement.

Regardless of this I still think this could turn out to be one of the top 5 if things go to plan.

Why people think there is hodling just for airdrops i am not sure.. the price is not predictable to hold just to accrue a few more tokens. Holding long term has to be the plan now for those that have been holding from the start. I'm quite hopeful although I am just a tiny holder due to not really linking much of my btc to it.

Agreed for the most part. However I suspect price will fall after the final airdrop is over unless there is a steady upward momentum. Mid term it should recover though.

I think dves means hubs.

You will not lose bytes by changing hubs.  You can change all you want and never worry about losing bytes.

If you change hubs, you risk losing messages (like how private assets (blackbytes)) are sent.
Also, to ensure safety against losing blackbytes to be sent (like from a distribution)(other than simply not playing around by changing hubs), you can talk to the transition bot after you change hubs.

To prevent from losing blackbytes/assets you already have, then simply make full backups (not just a backup from of the seed).

No, if I understood correctly there will not be a distribution in October. It just will be skipped for October. The next regular airdrop is on full moon in November. Correct me if I am wrong but this is how I got it. The omitted distribution in October is for me also the explanation why the price has so much decreased. The big holders sold to invest the money in other projects and then buy back in time to participate again in November.

When can we expect next airdrop?

That's correct, no airdrop in October, and also correct regarding dumpers.  We will see this kind of price fluctuation until the airdrops are complete.  This project has been a weird one regarding distribution but the wallet is really spot on and all of the new features/plug-ins are great.  The potential for Byteball is huge, I'm predicting a massive year in 2018 not just for Byteball but cryptos in general.

I really hated Gbyte distro until i realized it puts all the coins in the hands of the only people that matter (BTC whales)

Kinda like Stock Options for Rich CEOs and their cronies. What better way to pump the price (eventually)? Also, it's an order of magnitude better than idiotic, centralized, cash-grab ICOs.

Nice bottom slowly forming here, and amazing development.

If you can't beat em, join em. GL  Cool

I would agree in a sense.

Most people think it's the BTC whales that got BB to dump it; however, I partially disagree.

It didn't take a year to realize the price was pumping right before a distribution and dumping right after.  So, it was easy to see that you could purchase balls a day or two after the distribution at a cheap price knowing you could dump it right before the next distribution for far more than you paid.

So, I feel the price movement was mostly those people timing the market (not really a price manipulation).

Others also tried to time it exactly to the point within minutes of what they thought was the snapshot to get the 20% bonus just to dump their balls at the peak only to find out they sold just prior to the snapshot.  Amazing how many of those people came to slack to complain that they didn't get free balls; however, they did make out on peak pricing by selling.

It you're gonna try to take advantage of the market to get free money, then the very least you can do is read on how the distribution works instead of complaining about how you thought it worked.

About this, is there any particular reason why GBB is not on any exchange? I know this has been asked a gazillion times already but I still wonder, what is it about GBB's anonymity tech that makes it not a good fit for exchanges compared to other anonymous crypto? XMR, for example, is also anonymous but tradeable on Bittrex.

You need to be in chat with someone to transfer him Blackbytes, that's how the payment informations stay private. An exchange would have to dev something specific for blackbytes, that's why this market has been taken first by several Byteball bots.

Hello Byteball community, could anyone shed light on the relationship between Hshares and Byteball.  I was pretty surprised to see Byteball used in their Whitepaper/Roadmap but really not understanding the connection between the two projects.

Perhaps I'm missing something but I don't see how that means having it on an exchange will require special considerations. Is the info not just the price, amount and wallet address?

I'm surprised to hear it was in their roadmap.

Edit:

Quote from: H-Share/Cash_Whitepaper
In order to implement with another important feature which we will mention later, Hcash is designed purposely have both public and private addresses to be compatible with Zcash and Byteball address systems. In the near future, it is expected to directly send and receive ZEC or GBYTE in the Hcash system
