Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

And the Bitfury chip was supposed to be 5Gh.... it's no more of a win than anyone elses has been.
Bitfury was a single-man operation working out of a garage somewhere in Ukraine doing his first silicon. It was already full-custom while the competitor all-star-teams did standard-cell. Maybe it doesn't rate as a big win but could rate as a lowest loss. Certainly the guy gets a medal for testicular fortitude. For me he deserves a medal too and all the respect for the big balls. Why are all you guys refunding?
Which company is trust able and can deliver asic SCRYPT miners this summer other than knc I dont want to risk with knc as they sound shady as hell. Please suggest minimum 150mhs.
People are refunding Neptunes, not Titans. You can't refund Titans. One reason people are getting refunds on their Neptune orders is because of the actions of those at KnC (datorhal, goading people into not buying from competitors (we'll be selling upgrade boards, so keep your btc handy... then not selling those boards until a week or so ago, which is months later) no update on Neptune whatsoever then an announcement of Titan followed by an update about Titan with still zero news on Neptune... the list can go on and on) people do not trust them any longer. Another reason for people getting Neptune refunds: the difficulty will be so high by the time if/when/if ever Neptunes are delivered, they simply won't be worth the money paid for them and will never 1) earn a decent return on investment and 2) not even pay for themselves. So for many it's now MWA (Mining With Ants) as 1) they're selling actual, proven, physically deliverable product (not promises); 2) they actually deliver in a few days and 3) you can hash NOW, vs the unanswerable question: "will I ever get my/our Neptune?" <de-lurk> MWA and following this thread to see if KnC ever, ever, ever, ever actually does deliver Neptune. </return to lurk>

And after that? I see that there isn't a big grey spike like the last 2 difficulty jumps. I think we are having a temporary cap at 60000 TH/s.

I don't think it has anything to do with the ability to produce a product, if you read the thread, you may find it has everything to do with how KnC decided to go off on a jolly and produce a dat0rhall to compete directly with their customers. Which, incidentally, they will do exactly the same with SCRYPT. A leopard does not change it's spots. I'd reccomend you just either buy BTC and hold, or do some trading, OR invest in a gpu farm for alternate algo coins.

Its your money you have to be careful with it guys take care my 2 cents I ordered a Knc Jupiter and was quite happy with it. It was about two weeks late. But made a positive ROI. Most people have gotten refunds without a hitch. Just some people have reported difficulties. I do not know why that is..

The problem is: All the refunded Neptunes will mine in the DC and will make each day more BTC sold for Fiat.

Edit: I'm not familiar with what paperwork has to be filled when making a refund for an order that was filled with tax authorities last year. Anyone care to share some details about it?
KFC have mentioned a few times that their first year of business ends June, where they are hoping to post x kazillion of profits. All these neptune refunds are probably good, keeps their tax liabilities lower, like making massive capital investment in infrastructure (i.e. datorhalls). The longer things go on, the more I think kfc will walk away rich and happy. If the price of BTC goes back to $1000+, their cloud hashing business will sky-rocket. Sad

People/Corporations selling as much btc as KNC don't generally leak profits by selling on an exchange. It's as simple as calling up Barry Silbert and saying, "Hey Barry, want 1000 btc a week?" Off-Exchange sales only indirectly affect the btc/fiat rate as those sales would have had to go through an exchange had off-exchange transactions not been possible. However, the correlation isn't 1:1 as off-exchange purchasers would have been equally unlikely to have leaked profits by market buying on an exchange. I.O.W, don't blame KNC for the slipping btc/fiat exchange rate.

Maybe a stupid question: Are there any rules regarding refunds (I mean beside that one has to have ordered/paid Neptunes)? I couldn't find any in my communication with KNC nor on the homepage.

Well for bitcoin to be successful we need coins to be well distributed and not just hoarded by the wealthy and early adopters. I hope they are selling on the exchanges, rather than to corporates, to fairly distribute to many hands.
