Was not going to wait for anything else before I got these damn things up and running. I actually use the shelf I have to squeeze the sinks to the boards better than the shit cases they sent the boards in.

I used the foam that came in the cases to line up the boards and add uniform pressure against the shelves. So I basically sandwiched them using the adjustable shelves. All the cards work but the bean head didn't know how to count to 18 when he was counting the data cables so I got shorted 1.

Man is KNC sticking it to the FrankenJupiter Folks big time..they really really don't want to refund that nice *you should get a Neptune Refund* cash and send them
used parts.

I particularly like the statement that a broken resistor should not effect performance...un-frigging believable

(man glad I did not go that route)

anyway here is the link

http://forum.kncminer.com/forum/main-category/hardware/41095-knc-s-response-to-me-pathetic

and below is a copy/paste

Please review our Terms and Conditions that you agreed to prior placing the order: here: https://www.kncminer.com/pages/tandc
We would also like to inform you that we are business to business company and are not business to consumer.
You may request to replace ASIC that has issue with yellow DC/DC. Engineers intentionally installed more resistors that ASIC needed, therefore, if the board missed couple of resistors, it should not influence on performance of the board anyhow.
Also, resending you directions for installation of the ASICs:
The link to the video demonstration on how to mount the ASIC boards in the case can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wq0fl657n3...430_200829.mp4
Please note that this is a provisional video and we will provide a more clear and detailed video as soon as possible.
Below are the steps to take to assemble the miner.
1) The controller board can be placed outside of the case on a non conductive surface. To put the miner together you will need to first apply the thermal paste to the chip, you should put a thin line of the paste on one side of the chip and then spread out the past using a small flat spatula or similar. The thermal paste should be applied evenly on the chip.
2) You can then place the cooler in the case and then connect up the fan cable to the ASIC board and place it on the cooler. Once you have the ASIC board placed and aligned with the cooler, you can then place small white feet on the asic board to hold it in place.
3) The cables for the controller board can only be put in one way, there is a small notch on one of the connectors and this is the side that should be connected to the controller board. The other end connects to the ASIC board with the cable coming out of the case.

ok I"m obviously missing something here in the give and take as far as I've heard..the Franken Jupiter people by taking them CAN'T get a refund

now if you ment they also are turning to btc to get around the fact the bank xfer  is delayed I take you point get a refund

but man ...feel sorry for the franken jupiter folks with no Refund option..just the steady stream of back and forth RMA with broken parts loop (likely)

no slam here but unless I missed a memo?

p.s. I know one thing for damn sure...the 'BTC to all customers' sure as heck don't apply to those ordering a Titan (sigh...in my youth of 2013 when KNC stood on a golden hill...innocence lost....my poor noobie 2013 self....used and abused by BFL ...betrayed by KNC it seems.....it is turning into a frigging 'soap opera"....

Kurt stop ignoring my question;

if we want to refund and send this JUNK back can we do that?

simple yes or no??

can we send all this JUNK BACK FOR A REFUND OR NOT?Huh
Hi,

No refunds will be issued on the Jupiter 3TH/s miners. However, as I stated in my previous post, if you are experiencing any problems we will of course replace any faulty items and work with you to get your miner up and running.

Today I spoke again for my refund with this assholes.

They create new tactic for this week. Now Kurt said:

"Here is a link to our terms and conditions: https://www.kncminer.com/pages/tandc
As I stated previously, we do not have a refund policy. However, we are processing all refund for Neptune orders but there are delays in refunds via bank transfer.

BTC refunds are being processed faster. If you would like to convert your current refund to a BTC refund, please contact our support team. "

Hey Kurt ,

This screenshot is for you:

Check what you promised, then think for a second and check what you have done from this what was promised?

Every time one thinks that KnC can not get lower, they prove that we are wrong. Claiming they do not have a refund policy, but wrote when I ordered my Neptunes:

Quote
All refunds will be refunded in dollars and you can refund up to shipment

(see here: https://web.archive.org/web/20131212133634/https://www.kncminer.com/categories/miners

They promote transfers in BTC, because
Quote
"BTC refunds will be sent much faster since the time in transit is hours, not days like with bank transfer."

However, no refund for me - and obviously many others - in a timely manner, although I accepted a refund in BTC.

This smells. I have contacted two lawfirms in Sweden and asked for their opinion. I'm more than willing to get this legal road, and the more people with similar cases, the more likely it won't cost too much.

I'll post the lawfirm's responses once they arrive....

Happy for you that you received your refund in BTC promptly. However, I haven't. And: They write it normally takes ten business days for a refund in US$. Regarding BTC-refund, they write about hours, not business days:

Quote
BTC refunds will be sent much faster since the time in transit is hours, not days like with bank transfer.

We estimate that it can take 7-10 working days to process a refund, but during peak times this will be much higher.

To reduce the downtime, we are now offering BTC refunds to all customers, regardless of how they initially paid for their order. BTC refunds will be processed faster than refunds via bank transfer.

And this has nothing to do with batch 1 or batch 2. They agreed in an e-mail to refund but haven't done so.

Hello,

We are experiencing delays with our bank transfer refunds. We apologise for this.
However, we can now provide you with a bitcoin refund which will be processed much faster. The refund will be issued at the bitstamp.net rate at the time of processing. Please provide us with a wallet address if you wish to receive the refund via this method.

Thanks

They have loads of BTC now because they are using all those new Neptunes to mine up some BTC.  They are out of cash as new orders are not coming in on Neptune 3rd.

KnC is dead.  Their awesome reputation build over one year is destroyed in about 30 days.  Nobody will buy their stuff again.  Darn.  I was hoping they'd do a really cool Gen2 20nm product too.
