Yes

What to do Neptune

To burn only electricity
Neptune is nothing
Only directions I could find on that: "Just apply a small amount of Anal-Ese to your rectal area prior to any penetration". ...

The problems is that knc will not sent titans to customers

They hold for themselves

They tell after 10 days when batch 2 completed
And I still wait my Titan mini batch 2

That they do not have some parts bla bla bla
And they can not sent bonus Titan and Titan mini batch 2

so if i have this right they are 'stalling' on your order of a mini-batch 2 Titan 200mh you paid for

and are saying they will NOT send you the bonus Titan as the promised they would instead of a bonus neptune...*some folk were given that option* so they will probably send you a bonus neppie now instead ..going back on their word....(do i have this correct?)

thats sucks (is i have what you mean correct from above)

clarify a bit more for us here

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

hmmm......

as to ribbon cables look for kinks and they are put in the right way...as to Y cables make sure you got yours from KNC if not get some ..you have to get 16awg wire
that goes for PSU's as well ....or else you will have overheat issues w/o Y cables and w/o at least 16awg wire..and again make sure KNC sends them if not.... you HAVE
TO have these...or you will have fire/burnt connector issues (if you don't get any buy some 16awg only) you will need 4 per titan..again if you don't get Y cables you
can contact CABLEZ here on bitcointalk ..he is legit you can get the length you want as well at 16awg and pay via paypal if you want the safety....just search the
name here on bitcointalk and pm him

make sure you have the proper psu's (me i use a 1200i corsair 1 to each PSU a 220v line to each PSU) thses are 16awg wires a must have on a psu

I'd get these 220v surge protectors (they come with cable from unit to your titan...you need to pick the 220v plug you prefer from the surge protector to the wall and purchase)

http://www.amazon.com/Tripp-Lite-EURO-4-International-Protector/dp/B00006HZ4M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1428121539&sr=8-1&keywords=tripp+lite+euro

I had a wicked storm Dec 2014 brown out city like 4 every min or two for 1/2 and hour ...really bad ...flew home and shut off miners...no damage ..i doubt that
would have been the case with this rapid cycling of brown outs w/o the surge protectors above

not sure if this matters anymore but i would REPLACE anything that was NOT a class 10 miniSD myself ...had issues (mine came with Kingsington 4gb class 4 junk.... yech!)

I only use Sandisk 8gb Class 10 miniSD cards....I use this guy on ebay works really well and are new at what I think is a good price

http://www.ebay.com/itm/330901274432?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I 'used to' do a complete image re-do on each upgrade and that way if it went funky i could just put the old SD back in ...but likely 2.00 is the last firmware upgrade
so probably is not needed...if nothing else I'd make an SD backup of the firmware 2.00 image and if something dorks up with the SD card you can do a quick swap w/o
a lot of downtime with the backup SD card

here is my setup

notice the tempered glass under the units...from some dressers i had around...just in case ...not like they are a fire hazard or anything...(heh i made a funny)..just in case....

link to my imgur page with more pics below...closer detail on how the ribbons go and i have the cubes arranged.

http://lostgonzo.imgur.com/

imho the Titans seem to like to run a bit HOT so a warm room of 80F say in the basement is no big deal (say it is in midwest usa 90F outside would be 80F basement)

I plan on putting up some attic gable fans using plywood in windows above my setup in the pics...to push air out and draw thru open windows from rest  of the basement
I have time yet for that .....these fans are thermo controlled and at menards

http://www.menards.com/main/p-2426253-c-13258.htm

the reason for plywood is that I'l need a seal around the fans to keep out insects etc..may be able to use screen or at worse have to add a shutter to the fan on the out take
don't need it yet but will by say end of May 2015

so it goes..when miner goes away this will go back to a workbench with 3 220v lines to it i guess .....heh...... notice also the closet shelfing for the psu's below was added

anyway wish home mininng could continue...but alas when these mine to doorstop status ..back to the workbench.....

only othe thing i can think of is for the heck of it I got a proper raspberry pi B+ model ...folk were having issues with them arriving broken....so access to that would be
helpful if the unit arrives broke ..others on here probably have more specfic advices.....

only other thing is on the link above you dig  thru titan album you can get some cheap laptops that won't run anything beyond windows XP anymore and use them for
putty.exe ssh into the Titans to watch them mine etc.....I use UNBUNTU 14.02 is the latest that can run on the really old laptops you see...(they were laying around here)
really slick easy to install ...go to software folder on the side after install type in putty ...it finds it install it and viola you can monitor the titans as you see on my bsmt setup

anyway good luck ..others on here probably have more specific info on what to do it the raspberry Pi dies or on best adv page setup etc....I would say that once all is
working well run them up from 300 on adv page to 325 see if the cubes all work...if you have die issues not working...well make another post that will be a whole nother
deal..but mine (i have 2 dead dies 1 to a cube each out of 8 cubes) could not tweak have shut off I get an even 650.1mh out of the works ...which is more then I should get.
..but anyway if it works good at 300mh I'd try them at 325 on adv page.....me everything but the 2 dead dies is maxed out at 325....

anyway again others with more expertise (there are many) will continue ..if you knew all the above at least the way I have the cubes setup etc seems to work ok
hope at least that helps

So to be fair to kncminers.: We have all heard of the games they play with shipping, and delays and broken promises. I did my research and read about lots of broken promises, and I did NOT order my kncminers batch 2 from them. I am pleased to say I am VERY happy with mine. Its flashed with 2.0 firmware, and I am using 2 x 1200w power supplies to power them. Even though they dont require this much power, I didnt want any problems. One cube had a dead fan, and I replaced it, no biggie. Other than that is averages 450 MHS +/- 24/7. I will say its a royal pain in the ass to setup. I  setup large asic farms for a living, and THIS was by far the most difficult and messy setup. HOWEVER, once its rolling it rocks, and 450 MHS ONLY draws around 1200W of power!!! Thats INCREDIBLY efficient! In the end it was all worth it, just DON'T order from KNC direct.  Grin

Ill post a full review soon on my site www.bitcoinlasvegas.net

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

But if you don't mind what did you pick your 2nd batch 450mh from and what did you pay if you don't mind us asking?

If I have the above correct you got the KNC 450mh Titan from a different source (used?) (new?)

Ebay perhaps? ....Just saw this one go on Ebay 'unopened and new" for $3,350 usd w/$50 shipping to USA.....I think he has more of these coming up for sale (10 of them)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brand-Batch-2-New-KNCMiner-Titan-Scrypt-ASIC-Litecoin-Dogecoin-Miner-/121607071906?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c5058a8a2

anyway for those interested.....me not so much..but hey stuff to watch on ebay....alas I paid full price for my 1st Titan ...2nd Titan I got a deal....

but for those interested ....2nd Batch Titans SHOULD be hitting Ebay pretty hard soon...usually I search under 'kncminer titan' or 'knc titan' to get them all to come up.

After stalling way way past batch one, they finally offered a full refund for batch 2 Titans.

No idea when to expect the refund but they confirmed they'll be sending the bitcoin to me. much rather coin than a Titan, just hope they don't stall another 6 months  Undecided

hmm....I've seen some batch 2 titans on ebay (this guy had 10 of them .he says in this description....his first sold for 3,350.00 usd) link:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brand-Batch-2-New-KNCMiner-Titan-Scrypt-ASIC-Litecoin-Dogecoin-Miner-/121607071906?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c5058a8a2

So NOW KNC is offering BATCH 2 REFUNDS on those outstanding units remaining? Both 400mh and 200mh units?

I had heard they had canceled the batch 2 mini-titans at 200mh and were refunding...but they have killed the rest of the 400mh 2nd batch as well?

Well hell if that is the case....will help those of us (dumb that I was) on our original Titan order back in the day with a lot less difficulty climbing

anyway any links or emails you'd like to share here we'd appreciate it ...and yeah they have a history of stalling on refunds....if you paid back in the day with BTC
hopefully you will come out ahead....with the price difference

heh a refund on at least SOME knc batch 2 units......good for you guys......(we who never made it out of the knc gulag salute you!) Smiley

Not sure where to post this, but can someone please help me with my Neptune setup? Currently I'm running 3 Neptune cubes with a ocz zx 1250W PSU and under the power column some of the rows constantly go to 0.0 or around .4-.5 watts. I have to bring down the MHZ to 450 for them to not go to zero and stay stable.

Does anybody know why I'm having this problem? Even with 2 cubes it does the same thing. Thank you.

Each die is different in it's best settings.  The trick is to play with them until you get the lowest settings, but still are stable.  If you apply changes, it resets all cubes and takes a few minutes to stabilize.

After stalling way way past batch one, they finally offered a full refund for batch 2 Titans.

No idea when to expect the refund but they confirmed they'll be sending the bitcoin to me. much rather coin than a Titan, just hope they don't stall another 6 months  Undecided
Just wanted to clarify my order was for a mini Titan batch 2. I just assumed all batch 2 was getting refunded when I posted that. After the way they treated batch 2 customers and kept us in the dark during the extended delay it's really messed up they didn't offer a refund to all of batch 2.

KNC really screwed it's customers, hope the solar 16nm chips are all DOA

Ok, so the dies don't all need to be at the same MHZ? I was hoping to eventually get this rig up to 3.5 TH/s, I guess that's not possible now? Thanks.

3 neptune cubes cannot reach 3.4 terrahash... you're missing 2 cubes for that.  5 cubes you should have.

Yes, sorry, I meant in total. I only have 3 plugged in right now because I don't have enough PSUs. I have a OCZ ZX 1250W and a Thermaltake Smart 750W but I'm only using the 1250W right now because I'm worried the Termaltake's wires are too small for a Neptune? Not sure. Anyways, how could I get 3.5 TH/s even with 5 cubes if I can't push all the miners to 500MHZ?

I doubt you can.  I've got 6 cubes running stable at 4Th, but out of 15 cubes, only 3-5 run full on without too much heat.

I'm running 2 titans and I get out of the 8 cubes 650.1mh and I have 2 dead dies ....one each on 2 cubes.....completely set to OFF....and probably
am damn lucky to pull this off ...just a an example

gave up on getting my 2 dead dies to work ..probably should yo/yo the unit and experiment...but they made such crappy equipment....dorking with
it anymore makes me nervous as hell ...especially up/down with shutdown....and again probably lucky to get the 650.1mh

anyway for your info and guidline

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

That's cool. I was hoping to get close to 3.5 but I guess maybe I'll have to purchase another miner. Are you running 15 cubes at home?

Grin

Vegas

Ill post a full review soon on my site www.bitcoinlasvegas.net

Exactly the only mistake KNC made was assuming that all of us are cutting edge hackers and developers.
I got to neotunes running full speed taking between 1800-1900 watt at 3.6THash
when I would suggest that KNC only sells to people who can proof they can handle a miner.
If they cant they can not buy it.
all complains are made by people that are not having fun by tweaking the max out of a cutting edge chip.
