Yes. Some FUD and replies to it were moderated away.

- Have KNC shipped yet?
 No one knows -
- I wish they'd get on with it.
 I think it's up to 555 pages -
- Cup of tea dear?
The KNC thread. It's up to 555 pages -
- Did you take your heart medicine today?
I think it'll get up to 655 pages by this time next week! -
- Is that the telephone?
I'm almost certain of it -
- I'll go and see.
100 pages of "Do they have the chips yet? I think you'll find that's "ON" return, not "OF" return." Jesus Christ! Pedantic fuc... as if it matters! -
- The phone wasn't ringing
I'll tell you about difficulty... at my age... trying to pee!  -
- You want a cup of tea?
They promised to ship in September! -
- Of course I'll remember. I just said I'd make you one.
 Tomorrow is the 27th -
- It's still in the garden.
I don't think I can bare even another 20 pages of those comments, never mind 100! -
- We're going to have boiled ham.
Yes. Yes, I think that was his name. What was I talking about? -
- If KNC had shipped yet.
Yes! It's up to 555 pages now you know! The KNC thread!
- JESUS CHRIST GIVE IT A REST!
It'll probably be 655 by this time next week -

I lol'd at this, reminds me of my grandparents.

Make my day! Say thanks if you found me helpful:

pfuuu...seems like most are missing a tiny but very important fact when shouting at each other, which could relax the whole situation dramatically.

Please consider there are several kind of people involved.
Not all are in the same position, we all are individuals keep it in mind before starting the next fight.

1) ppl who do not care that much about ROI, some have fun mining and to be part of the cryptocoin movement....

Some fun paying 5000$ so that drug dealers and gamblers can have a safer payment system. I'm sure most people could find better hobbies than that. Like getting drunk on a weekend and spending what's left on a pair of russian hookers. Both hobbies result in a same financial loss, but one leaves you with memories of awesomeness while the other pretty much sums up to..well..nothing.

Why are you posting on a Bitcoin forum then?  Get lost!

He's making the simple point that "fun" is not a thing a lot of people mine BTC for. For some it's an investment for the future for example.
Why are you telling people what to do when their reason to be involved in BTC is just different from yours?
He's right about most people could find better hobbies too, especially that some people really do need to get laid. It's a much more pleasant way to get screwed Wink

His response made it obvious that he isn't involved with Bitcoin.  So why is he posting in this forum?  I feel my response was completely appropriate.

Ummm.   Tried to change the shipping address for my Jupiters.  Received this response:

all October orders have been finalized

ROTFL

EDIT: Been almost 5 minutes and I'm still chuckling
EDIT2: Oh god. So funny. Where has all my compassion gone?  Cry
EDIT3: no refunds now? 25 minutes of ROTFL and counting.

I would like to cancel mine, I got the same thing, but I was pretty sure there is a law in their country that has something to do with, if the product doesn't ship and you ask for a refund they have to give it.

I'm involved in bitcoin probably longer than you are. And even though I was cynical let's be real, a majority of transactions are for the two things I've mentioned. Sure, scams and speculative investments are not to be neglected either. I'm pretty sure that tips, alpacca socks and bitcoinstore are minor contributors.

Why am I in this? Because bitcoin does have great potential beyond the things I mentioned. And since it's deflationary by nature, there's a decent chance it may bring in some good profit.

Would I pay thousands of dollars to be a part of this "great revolution" just for the sake of it? Hell no! If I just wanted to take part in changing the world and disregard the financial side, I could just as well mine with a CPU and feel great as being a part of the tribe.

Why is this thread getting shorter ?

Not long ago it was 555 pages, hence the burning 555 post

Now it is only 552 pages.

Maybe it is counting down to the Jupiter hashrate ?

Addendum : now 551

I guess we should all just sit back and wait. No more refunds or change of address are allowed so nothing you can do.

All sales are final. Cheesy Hopefully we should hear something by tomorrow or the next.

If there was actually moderation, this thread would only be barely 50-70 pages.

Most of the "discussion" = bitfury, hashfast, bfl, scams, roi, psu, paperclips, orama shilling, trolls, fuds, etc Tongue

If refunds have been closed, we'd better see a video of something hashing pretty soon... like today.

We see no reason why it cant work like that, the only addition I will add is that the refund will be 100% with the order cancelled, We wont be offering a discount/refund and still shipping you the boxes. Refunds are offered up to the day of shipment of your order.

Above all else we will be fair.

I don't see that no refunds message as negative, unless we start getting "in 2 weeks" (tm) messages shortly thereafter.

On the 20th of August I was considering to buy hosting as I would not be around to receive/install/maintain the miner in November. So I fired off a question if they were sure to deliver my miner before the end of October.

Here's their answer:

Code:
Hej,

Thanks,

Carl

Med vänlig hälsning  |  Best regards
Carl Sidenvall, customer services

So I went ahead and ordered hosting. In that respect, I am pretty calm until the 31st of October knocks on the door.

Why?  Make your own video when your box arrives and STFU.
