Stockholm Skavsta Airport was recently voted as the 2nd most deceiving airport name in Europe. It's actually two hours+ outside of Stockholm city limits. Like flying to London and landing in Bristol.
Vasteras isn't next to the city either

I doubt they will be supply anything hashing at 707.89 Gh/s, even if it can do that. They have 1000's of 850w PSU and told their customers to buy that spec, so things will be tuned to work with 850w. KnC Cole on CoinDesk: “We have 22 stations manned by assembly experts to make sure we can keep on top of the orders and have the boxes ship as soon as possible. Our engineers have also been working through the night to tune the power consumption and the latest test indicates that we will have a much better result than 1.4 watts at the wall.” http://www.coindesk.com/kncminer-begins-shipping-jupiter-bitcoin-mining-rigs/i.e. they are tuning power consumption, not maximising hashrate.

So far we've only seen a prototype... Bitfury still took a few weeks from the prototype boards to mass production boards, so I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see en masse shipping for a little while. It'll be interesting to see how fast KnC gets these out, I'm always dubious until I see people on the forum getting their products.
If they do begin shipping massive quantities immediately, I'm really curious if they'll pull an "Avalon" and crank the price of their devices once they realize demand is outstripping supply.
Mostly I'm happy to see competition -- because the customers will be the ones winning in the end once these companies start trying to murder each other in sales.
No, they were in mass production. That was the first unit off the line. The prototyping was done with the FPGA.

I have a 1200w PSU Even if you have a 1200w psu, I doubt the chips could handle that much. Let's say they are stable with 65-70 celsius at 850 to 900 watt, you would need to cool down everything that goes further massively since gained performance does not equal the same amount of heat generated. 300 W on 4 chips would be around 75W per chip, that is a lot more heat to dissipate. You could propably manage that with watercooling, but even then there is only so much voltage a chip can handle before going awol.

I have a 1200w PSU When these start arriving to their customers, there will be plenty of experimentation & discussion on how to tune miners for best performance. People just need to be real in their expectations based on facts. If there are any tweaks, you hedged very well getting a 1200w and it will be more than enough. + what Mota said above about temps.

The article appears to have some word confusion and does not present any evidence to back up their claim that devices have begun shipping. I just checked my pool account and did not see any miner connected to it hashing (and I was one of the very first people to order).

A large portion of the value of purchasing hosting is the quick production to hashing turnaround times. They still publicly state that your unit will be Hashing Bitcoins within a few hours of it being assembled at the factory . Based on the fact that Sam is not a liar and has proven himself to do everything in his power to do right by his customers and that my order was paid within the first couple hours of the store opening, I can only infer that they are still tweaking power/hashing performance and have not released any miners yet. I'll update this thread as soon as a transaction hits my public address.

yeah same here, very first registration/preorder, 1st day of shipping and I don't have tracking number/any hash on pool acc. but as Mota posted here earlier, they told him that 1st day orders will be shipped today..so I'm sitting and waiting.)

I would note that three of my Day-2 Jupiter Orders orders 75x, 76x, and 76x just changed status on the KNC website from PAID to IN PROGRESS...
Curiously, my Day-1 orders, 2 numbered 35x, and one numbered 36x, are still sitting at PAID status..
