Mooncoin Discord has: - Became a main point of communication for both Evangelo and barrysty1e in coordinating things such as helping test newly developed algos, setting up various new initiatives (will list here), and coming up with different ideas and projects that have so far only helped to further speed up and develop MOON in a positive direction. - Started the MCF: Mooncoin Community Fund. The initial funding of the MCF (10 million MOON) was provided by me and since then, many other people have donated further to it. Fund address located here for anyone wanting to check it out: 2LpMRkRjM6VQnttqB6X3L77tNZATx6Fzar This has so far been used to compensate the latest Logo and Mascot designer winner (a single designer won both categories), tip for some bot development in the Discord and will very soon be used for other things such as: -- Setting up a MOON pool for a developing video game company who will very likely be using Mooncoin as their in-game currency! -- Paying for a Apple development license for producing MOON based apps and games that can be made available on the Play Store and Apple Store! -- Recurring advertisement for MOON as well as the production of informative videos and informational sites and articles. -- Translation work for all the things mentioned that would be necessary. - The Discord group has also been very active in social media; creating a new blog page with relevant, up to date information on the happenings of MOON (available here: http://moonchan.org) tweeting our faces off to all exchanges and other relevant sites and people to garner further attention, getting contacts together for further investing and project opportunities, etc. - Initiated and gained control of the main subreddit r/mooncoin, which has not seen active moderators in over 2 years. 2 YEARS. Also started an active Twitter account for Mooncoin. Which now has over 1k subscribers, in just a few weeks time. - Developed a new Mooncoin website ( http://www.mooncoin.eco) due to the current website ( http://www.mooncoin.com) owner being unwilling to update to current information. - Started a Mooncoin Steam gaming group! - Created a Master Job List of all who are working towards moving Mooncoin forward. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1OFeDkyvkkzeaLCTCbACn2CuDXkQp0LFkvxzdFTdVQn8/edit?usp=sharing (please contact someone here in the ANN or on the Discord if you'd like to help out!) AND MORE! ... Well done! I like this.

Reposting for clarity: The new logo contest poll has now been posted in the #moon_polls channel on the Discord. Those wishing to submit their logos please do so within 7 days before the deadline is up. Voting will then occur over 3 days. Please take a few minutes to register with the Discord ASAP in order to vote. Link here: https://discord.gg/Hhbmdjd- If you CHOOSE not to vote, you have no recourse... you have ZERO right to complain. - If you MISS the contest entirely, you have ZERO right to complain as it means you were not active for 10 days in the Community; only in an extreme case would someone be without the Internet for such a period of time. The contest will be posted in every single social media outlet we have available to us. - If you dislike, hate, or generally disagree with this logo contest, that is fine and your opinion is valid. The vote will show what the Community wants. In other words... if all you do is hold MOON and only show your face to complain or bitch about things rather than join the Community in the many different ways available to you to engage in conversation, project brainstorming or offer help with your specific talents, then you have ZERO right to complain. DO SOMETHING. BE ACTIVE. GET INVOLVED. The only problem I had with the last "poll for a new logo" idea was the outcome. 1) For anyone who is already a mooninite the logo could be anything. Sure the logo might matter a bit to the mooncoin collector, but not really, the collector is already interested in mooncoin. The logo is important simply as a first impression, for those that stumble upon mooncoin for the first time, since it is one of those things they first set their eyes upon... And so, from that perspective, to have a logo that is not a "moon" in some way is silly, and you'll end with more comments from those that have noticed mooncoin for the first time and wondered why its logo is a banana? (I use "banana" as a placeholder, I could have easily said: light bulb, pear, eye ball, thumb, or mouse). 2) ... or maybe, as with any internet poll, you could end up with the "boaty mcboatface" effect. Just speculating.

The winning logo would almost certainly incorporate some semblance of the Moon, though it doesn't necessarily have to to be liked more. 2: Exactly the issue with open voting with no way to audit the votes. The Discord system eliminates this.

Could a vpn be used to hide the originating IP? yes, however not all vpn services are created equal. Some have reporting laws they must follow. others are easiy to break or detect. Lots to know there.. But short answer is yes it will show a different IP to the server host. I heard the fbi got a law passed in the US that allows them to intrude on devices that are shown to be using vpn services. I am not sure that law is true and if so has yet been tested by the courts..

@Littlestan, you have exactly ZERO right to decide others right to complain.
Still no valid answer is provided why the current logo must be changed. Again, I am not joining Discord nor using new logo. Do not try to relocate the Mooncoin community because all you do is to divide it.
It has been provided. 1. We were rocking this yellow logo up to earlier this year: Then the placeholder blue ellipse came up. A lot of people complained about it looking too simple and not professional enough. So Evangelo, the marketing director at the time, initiated a vote. So in the discord community, a vote was cast and people overwhelmingly agreed on a logo change. The vote is also supported by the developer. So the logo will be used on all exchanges and in the wallet. Not using it for your own project only harms your own project.

Since when is the moon yellow or gold? it is associated with silver or grey so the mooncoin logo should be of that colour type

If the community votes for a new logo then literally by consensus it's the one to use. You don't have to like it but you do get a say. If you decide not to use the winning entry you're going against what the community stands for and declaring that your wants and desires are above the collective.

If you choose not to vote, you have no right to complain. Period. I didn't say you *can't* complain (and I'm sure you and others will) but it WILL be summarily dismissed if you consciously choose to not vote. Consider what I'm saying before getting up in arms about it. I'm asking the Community here to JOIN us on the Discord to take part in something that will represent us all. How *exactly* does this divide us? The only division I'm seeing is from the stoic ignorance of the few consistently displayed here.

How *exactly* does this divide us? The only division I'm seeing is from the stoic ignorance of the few consistently displayed here. Correct voting in any case implies parts: 1. Time to design the logo; 2. Time to get acquainted with the presented logos; 3. Voting. You want for some reason to win your current version of the logo, so you do not give time to develop other variants of the logo. I think that the logo of our coin is important, I believe that let people have time, let's say 2 weeks for creativity. Further. Let it be an ode a week to get acquainted with the presented results. And the vote, say 5 days. I consider it necessary that the voters have confirmation in bitcointalk.org and their wallets. I understand that many disagree with the fact that the volume of investment is taken into account, it's good, but I think that let the person who votes still risk his money, let's say at least $ 100. I want to see verification. In any case, the logo is not so significant, there are things more important. You think that your discord is a whole world, but it's not so. How chat does not replace business correspondence. Discord - another format that does not allow you to think about the answer. If you look at what you did and not what you want to do, in fact, the result is more than modest (facts, not expectations). The volume of trading fell to 12 000 $ - this means you do not attract people and their money.. Why so scream about it. p.s.: I apologize in advance for English, he is not my native language. Perhaps because of this there is some misunderstanding. In a fraction of the time it took you to make this irrational, nonsensical and illogical post, you could have simply clicked on the Discord link and signed up, ready to check out the logos and vote. Consider that. The original time allotted to design a logo is a week. There is now 6 days left. That is MORE than enough time to design a logo. Any professional could tell you this. Nobody else but you has said anything to the contrary thus far. Consider that. Also, 3 days to contemplate the logos and vote is a ludicrous amount of time to do so. Most of us can do it in mere minutes; why would you be so slow? As to wanting "my current version of the logo to win"; I don't really give a shit what logo we end up with at this point. I want this BS to be done and over with so we can move on and I can stop wasting my time arguing with you dunces. You seriously attribute the volume drop to me personally or the Discord? Completely ignoring the giant list of accomplishments that we've done and will do once the Core and algo is updated? Anyone can tell you the volume dropped because we currently have nothing concrete to offer as a crypto until the Core and algo is updated and we can get working in earnest on our feature set. (MoonWord, SmartLikes/MoonLite, MoonEdu) Also, did you not notice the entire crypto market is down to 80 billion market cap atm? Down about 20 billion? Keep up the totally bizarre accusations though, whatever floats your boat. The logo vote is happening. You and the FEW on here who have made ridiculous stances against it simply will not matter if you choose not to take part. It doesn't matter what you think about it; all I'm doing is coming on here and telling you it's happening. It's your choice.
