What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017?

2017 will be a great year for bitcoin, with the price making a new fondation at $1000 mark, more people will begin using bitcoin in their transcation. However this increase in popularity will bring another trouble for example the fee. There's seems to be more increase unconfirmed transcations lately and the recommended fee becoming more ridiculous  

yeah I think this is the year of bitcoin. for the price of $ 1,000 occurred again in this year. I myself was very surprised when the price could touch and exceed $ 1,000. and you know the popularity of bitcoin rose rapidly because of these events

everyone talking about all positives things without consider there could be a disaster.
the bitcoin financial system is required internet access , and it could be shut down anytime who knows?
no internet no transaction can be made and it is the end of bitcoin , so don't forget to think about bad things that could possible happened.

This is quite a catastrophic scenario. In that case, any currency wont be very handy, maybe gold/silver coins, but maybe even that would be worthless. Food, water, weapon, shelter and surviving skills would be most appreciated. I do think that man should be prepared for almost anything, but I think/hope that your scenario will never come.

So  you mean no internet anywhere in the world ?  That is not possible. Internet is an established and all the world business is running online. So  you mean no internet anywhere in the world ?  That is not possible. Internet is an established and all the world business is running online. People are connected online. the only way all the internet does down is that it is the End of the world.  Apart from that internet can never be destoryed everywhere at the same time.

The internet is already a big part of our life, we are using it on a daily basis to transact and communicate with people. I guess this one will not be destroyed, however there are places which has no access on internet due to lack of infrastructure. And, even though they can access they will not be interested with the technology, they are living in a poor country which is the main concern is to do a hard job to survive.

My thoughts are that bitcoin is going to keep growing as it has done in the previous year and I think that by the end of the year we will be able to see prices that we have never seen before probably above the 1500 mark it will not last for long but enough for us to profit from it.

Yeah, I agree with this, at the end of the year bitcoin will gonna reach 1500, we gonna earn much more now since it is increasing the value fast now. But for me, it is not just $1500 this year but more than that, we really want this one to happen soonest but it take time, yet the value totally increasing fast and high.

Exactly, since bitcoin now is highly recommended cryptocurrency, it becomes bigger and wider currency. Many people used this its because they know that in this way, it will help them earning extra income and then bitcoin gave them freedom. More famous and would become the future currency in this year this is just my instinct

from the very start of 2017 we can see that there is a lot of exultation in the price of bitcoin. but over in 2017 the price of bitcoin is continuously increasing and so we can also expect the continuous increase in the price of bitcoin during the whole year of 2017. i can expect that in 2017 the price of bitcoin is going to cross 2000 USD level, and that is i think a very good news for long term investors.

Some of my thought for 2017:

1. For everyone staying that bitcoin can't compete with traditional payment processors - with proper fee there is no delay on payment.
So unless bitcoin will always be mined with speed 10 minutes per block money transfers won't be any faster. Deal with it.

2. Bitcoin was designed to be safe haven and asset/currency, it will free us from next economic crisis.
It has its own micro world, the worse fiat is doing, the better BTC will be. We will see that in the future.

3. Yuan has lost about 14% against dollar in last 4 years. Do you think where Chinese citizens scared by further devaluation will flock? Bitcoin is the cure.

1. Yes it is, bitcoin just 10 years around. Which it can't compete with conventional banks yet, blockchain need some adjustments and upgrades to achieve that, maybe in 10 years later.
2. Bitcoin created as digital currency, state it as safe heaven is exaggerate as the market cap isn't big enough to become stable, free from manipulation.
3. Yes, people will always looking for an alternative 'store of value' to diversify their wealth as bitcoin become a rising star that attract layman and investors. Uniquely, every unstable economics occured will lead to 'bitcoin rises', I don't think Chinese citizens scared but they are looking for reliable investment.

Good points. Bitcoin can come up to become a great competitor against traditional payment processors, as more people start using it towards mainstream adoption. As more Chinese citizens begin to realize that Bitcoin is the solution against Yuan inflation, they will massively use the cryptocurrency as a store of value, protecting their hard-earned money against the effects of their government issued currency.

The reason, in my own opinion, that Bitcoin has been rising too much in price, is mostly because the Chinese people are becoming more interested into the cryptocurrency as their store of value. While all of this is positive, the time when Bitcoin will really become used as a mainstream currency, would be such where it has already scaled to handle large transaction capacity via its approval of SegWit. Just sharing my thoughts.

Slow confirming transactions happen because people don't look at how the network is operating. I am not sure about other wallet clients, but Bitcoin Core gives you recommendations when it comes to including proper fees. If you just adapt to the situation where you include proper fees with your transactions, then all your transactions will confirm within 2 blocks. Just don't be stingy as it won't do you anything good - time is money, and money is time.

Slow confirming transactions happen because people don't look at how the network is operating. I am not sure about other wallet clients, but Bitcoin Core gives you recommendations when it comes to including proper fees. If you just adapt to the situation where you include proper fees with your transactions, then all your transactions will confirm within 2 blocks. Just don't be stingy as it won't do you anything good - time is money, and money is time.

But in any case those both options are equally a bad deal for bitcoin users that seem to be in an abusive trap, a kind of sabotage. If you don't pay huge fees, all your transactions will be permanently and arbitrarily delayed, and we won't have any other option than accepting their excessive conditions.

Bitcoin price could continue to go up in price but I am more interested in how it is going to develop more as a currency that we can use anytime, anywhere. For that to become a possibility, certain imporvements (e.g. block size) has to be seriously addressed. That and other things like more accepting merchants would really make 2017 a good year for bitcoin.

A significant growth in adoption will be great but I think that is also related to price once bitcoin surpasses its maximal historical price a lot more people will turn their heads and look at bitcoin with a lot more interest, so a bigger price will help adoption too.

Now that there is less hype about china controlling bitcoin
I think 2017 will be the year we see an all time high as we have more people than ever getting on board and probably have more countries endorse the use of it as political grounds crash down and will be crawling to bitcoin for redemption.

Countries will prefer to send the whole country to total poverty than to accept bitcoin, they will prefer to keep printing their own currency than to accept bitcoin and let the country prosper under a currency they don't control.

Size of the adoption you talking about is huge, just google can contribute a lot and with other companies and corporations bitcoin price can go higher then ever.
This year will be good for bitcoin, price is holding over 1000 $ and still rising slowly. I hope this year bitcoin will gain more popularity, that is key for success.
