I'm running two 7970's with CGMiner to mine FC.
When I'm at I=12 I average around 230k/s
As soon as I up the Intensity, I get a ton of hardware errors.
here's what I'm starting CGMiner with:
cgminer --crypt -o stratum+tcp://mine.altpool.com:3333/ -s 1 --expiry 1 --queue 0 -u user -p x --shaders 2048 --intensity 13 --fix-protocol --thread-concurrency 4800
Any help/advice would be appreciated. Still getting the hang of tweaking my settings.
~richgene
I had a simmiliar issue, try adding more gpu threads by putting " -g 2" or" -g 3"

It changes every 2016 blocks, so what you can do, is find out what the next 2016 increment block is, which in this case is 16,128. Then just see how many blocks pass in say, an hour and just estimate how many hours it'll get to 16,128 with the number you got. FYI hovering the mouse over the check mark on the bottom right of your feathercoin-qt client gets you the current block. On another note, I've been doing solo mining, but lately (the last day or so) every few hours or less my feathercoin-qt.exe would stop responding randomly and then I'd have to be on to restart it so my miners can resume mining. Any clue why it does this? It only occurs if I'm solo mining, if I'm mining in a pool it doesn't seem to do it.

Can you mine with the built-in mining in the windows client ? Or do you need to set up external mining software ?
My address is 6zG3pZ53WguJXnV5ZgFiA3NQb19VaszXcy if someone is feeling generous, send me some coins please to see if it's working right.

Hmm, I keep seeing Pool 0 communication failure, caching submissions in my cgminer window, for http://fpool1.zapto.org:28339 ? Seems to have just started appearing within the last 30 mins or so.. is that normal? I am seeing with this : Pool 0 share became stale while retrying submit, discarding Yea there seems to be issues now... it was smooth a few hours ago.. rough now.. i get the same thing. Running smoothly again I have a lot of stale (30%) and I keep seeing Pool 0 stale share detected, submitting as user requested Am I the only one ? I got also around 30% stale on this pool with 7950's, had to switch it on http://mine.altpool.com/ stratum and so far I have around 2% stale. But my minor miner under 100khash have around 5% stale max for http://fpool1.zapto.org

Remember that zapto.org runs both pushpool and p2pool.
The p2pool works great for me.

Having some issues with more than I though in the pool: http://feathercoin.is-a-geek.comI have turned off the pool for now, and once all shares are confirmed tomorrow (after I get some sleep) I will manually pay out the correct amount after calculating it. Please make sure to have a payout address in the system or pm my your username on the site and payout address. I will payout per share, as opposed to PPLNS method simply because the back-end accounting is not working. Payouts made. Still missing a few Wallet ID's, but all the rest have bee sent. I tried paul21's pool earlier but I'm only getting half or less of my hashing power due to all the stales

So is this broken now, or are we still doing ok? Do we have any idea what's triggering all the stales for everyone?

I didn't get the exact times since I've only gotten two transactions and I haven't been able to track them start from finish, but from the looks of it the FC tx times definitely seem faster than LTC. It's also been posted on the main List of Cryptocurrencies that it's 4x faster.
As for the pool stales I think it's from an overburdening of the servers?

I think something along those lines have been tried before with some issues.

The cryptocurrency list states: FC FeatherCoin- yet another LTC clone. 4 times more coins, 4 times faster. Is it ok if I post in that topic alerting the author that it's 4 times more coins but not 4 times faster? Or..? Btw I am not bashing the coin, I am creating a topic to buy some later... just want to know the actual facts.

We need an exchange for this coin soon, or this coin dies soon... And I by "exchange" I mean a real exchange, like VirCurEx or BTC-E.
