Not really worth it IMO, it'd take a very long time to find a block

I'm calling scam (not just useless coin) on this entire 'operation'. Pools don't pay out, obvious 'pre mining' for a small group of early adopters and NO early adoption of coin except for forum sales.

Have you tried the FC Simple Pool?  I have been using it for 30 hours and have received multiple payouts.  Point your cgminer here:  http://fpool1.zapto.org:28339

I don't think it's a scam. There is no premine, and pools used to pay regular yesterday. Altpool is still working and accepting my shares, though website is under maintance now.

Depends heavily on what you call premine. First 5 miners threw something like 5MH @ mining and scraped together millions of coins in hours at ultra low difficulty. Launching an altcoin with 200 block reward and early miners finding 1000s of blocks an hour qualifies as premine to me.

i'ld call it "being at the right place at the right time" Smiley

besides, when i started solomining, i threw 8 khash/sec at it, got 50 blocks in 12 hours, since then, 1114 FC from pooled mining.

And that would work just fine, if everyone was on 8 khash, even with stupid low diff for first few days. Unfortunately there are several 'early adopters' on 5+ Ghash rigs.

Where are you getting that figure of 5GH from?

Anyway I see your point. There was significant hash power quite early on, but it seems to be from a lot of people picking up this coin and not just from some major miners. I actually think we have had a fairly decent early distribution of coins as so many people got in early. I hope that these people now stick around to help build this coin.

Hey you never know. I would still argue that the next coin to 'make it' will be one launched by a vetted group with a pre-set lauch date to avoid the 'gold rush' where a few 'mining corps' dump tons of hashing power  into solo mining for a day and mine a very significant percentage of the possible future value with little to no effort.

Even if you announce it ahead of time those mining corps will be waiting with their large rigs, and even more concerning is the fact that it gives people the time to organise attacks on the coin in advance like poor BBQCoin. PPCoin announced a week ahead of time and ended up getting 2 million coins mined in a day. There are arguments for and against announcing new coins. Mincoin took things to an interesting new level Smiley

Are there any other pools than AltPool and FCPool? AltPool is down, and I submitted hundreds of shares to FCPool, and it never registered a single share on my account.

Altpool Front end is down, however it's still accepting shares and paying(which does take forever with 120 confirms and the server getting hammered)

Same problem here. Went to put up ~4 mh/s on the network. All settings perfect, hundreds of shares submitted, pool showing 2, at a speed of 1 kh/s. Tried both pushpull and longpool versions stated earlier. altpool is down (cant register). There's some issue here, as the same settings mining LTC are perfectly fine.

There's less than 4 million coins... so you're saying 5 people have all coins? lol if you want to call something a premine look at Mincoin that has 2mnc/block but gave people 500/block the first days worth of blocks, 100/block the 2nd day and 50/block the 3rd

Did I ever say 5 people have 'all coin' or are you just mentally challenged?

I agree that this coin was a bit unfair. Why was there no notice given? If there's no warning or notice at least make the starting difficulty a little bit higher

Just a friendly heads-up: I did register initially at AltPool, and they were great. It took a bit of time to get my PPLNS to get rolling due to confirmations, but once I got it... It was amazing.

Yeah, i'm very familiar with mining and the different reward systems. Since altpool is down for registration, and the other pool is performing horribly (literally counting 1 out of every 500+ shares - not stales, just not showing up on pool site), i'm dead in the water at the moment.

FC Simple Pool seems to be down.  Currently tring FC is a geek.

Okay, also hosting a provably fair lottery.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=180915.0
You just need to bet in multiples of 50 FC.

Having some issues with more than I though in the pool: http://feathercoin.is-a-geek.com

I have turned off the pool for now, and once all shares are confirmed tomorrow (after I get some sleep) I will manually pay out the correct amount after calculating it.

Please make sure to have a payout address in the system or pm my your username on the site and payout address.

I will payout per share, as opposed to PPLNS method simply because the back-end accounting is not working.

Payouts made. Still missing a few Wallet ID's, but all the rest have bee sent. See txid: ad957d09b9102f84bac70f1cf89c236496dffa84a826487c48fbfd572fcb42fc

Received them, thanks p33t! Let us know if you get the pool running again. I tried paul21's pool earlier but I'm only getting half or less of my hashing power due to all the stales Sad

It is back up now. I have fixed everything except accurate khash/sec (I think). It is correct proportionality, but I cannot seem to nail down how to keep it within 1/5-2x the actual rate...

Only thing I was unable to test was account payouts. Hopefully they work this time. If not, I will manually be paying out again.

PLEASE NOTE: In doing this rewrite, I had to wipe the database. Signup should be working, as well as the password recovery feature.

Front end went down. As per the owner, your shares should still be valid, but I'm not holding my breath.

Started moving some hashrate your way. Your pool is working perfectly for me in comparison to the others. Will move over 1mh/s at a time.

EDIT: i notice my est. payout is a bit nuts  428,398.057 /day. I'm guessing theres something wrong with the calc on the pool site? Also, my hashrate is not going above 440, even though im throwing well over double that at the network.

Yes. I am looking at it now. It looks like it is using hashrates at the moment, going to set that to 0 until I can fix a few other math things.
