Alas, I am cursed with 'Hat Abandonment'. I'm so 'dirty'. Sad

You're just whoring yourself out for dust Searing. Put on a hat.

:-)

This is true. Boring, but not mining anymore, pulling tricks on the Bitcointalk street, just to get a trickle of BTC into the HODL address, dust though it may be.

Mining a Bitmain S9i at a 60c (I think) loss a day in electric, just to get some more BTC into the coffers and to watch the trickle into the BTC address occasionally.

Hard to just sell BTC to live on just to get more BTC, kinda messes up the 'live on' part of the whole crypto thingy. At least I 'cremated' the Alts for the most part first.

I suppose I could get a job again, just to keep the BTC 'current' alive in the wires in some manner going, so to speak.

Nah, sell crap in the attic next I guess, yep, that's the ticket! Rummage Sales! Garage Sales! Selling Sweet Corn from a stand!

Nice to finally see the market coming to its senses and dumping alts. Still a fair way to go I'd reckon.  King BTC barely sneezed in comparison.  Holding and buying the dip as usual. This is fine Wink  Carry on my doods.

HodlWave Chart

This chart shows you UTXO Age distribution according to the USD price. UTXO age distribution shows bitcoins in a duration of time based on when the coins last moved.

The blue area is over 5 years of not moving bitcoin and the red area is less than 1 day. The top of the blue area represents more than 21% of all bitcoins at this moment.

Damn that's a bullish chart. Although the raw bitcoin supply is growing, long-term hodlers are growing faster. That means the net supply available on the market is shrinking.

Toxic2040 first on track in less than ten minutes. Unfortunately, does not understand the difference between 'who' and 'where' (I keed, I keeeed). Silver Star.

Krubster also on the ball. With sufficient specificity to claim the Gold Star.

LFC_Bitcoin went the extra mile, nailing it down to a street address, though later than the sufficiently specific Krubster.

Before posting, I should have thought about an actual award (other than the coveted stars, of course). Working from the seat of my pants....

/.../

Gold Star: Krubster wins $100 USD worth of crypto.

SIlver Star: Toxic2040 and LFC_Bitcoin each win $50 USD worth of crypto.

Payable in each winner's choice of BCH (ha!) or BSV (haha!). PM me your addresses, gentlewinners.

Good job, all.
Wow, that's very generous of you sir.

Since you were listening to Mr. Antonopoulos, I suggest you donate my win to him. So he can keep up the great work that he is doing.

Nobody seems to be able to predict bitcoin moves, not in 2017 and not now. 2018 drop was predictable (only the extent of it wasn't).
I think that altocalypse will continue until everyone is even more bearish. ETHE is STILL running at more than 100% premium to NAV, for crissake.

Would have been nice to buy under 6k, but at least I didnt fomo in at 13900  Smiley

Celebrating a Pioneer, Bitcoiners Will #RunForHalFin

Quote
On August 28, 2014, cypherpunk and Bitcoin pioneer Hal Finney passed away due to complications with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), which he had been fighting for nearly five years.

Prior to being diagnosed, the recipient of the first bitcoin transaction was an avid runner who never shied away from expressing his hobby on Twitter, even training for the prestigious Boston marathon.

Inspired by Finney’s dedication to Bitcoin and the sport of running, the team behind the Satoshi Freeathlon is organizing a worldwide event to mark the fifth anniversary of the cypherpunk’s death. The specific date for the event was chosen because, according to Fran Finney, her husband’s “last real run” took place September 6, 2009.

The btc market is macro bullish since april/may. Altcoins dominance currently struggling at the minor support. If it breaks down, btc can go to 80% dominance.

jbreher is indeed a gentleman but lets not forget he is still a tricksey bear...   One must pay attention to the fine print.  Andreas probably has the necessary wallets but I dont know the addys..

Have to see how he wants to handle it. Maybe a PM is in order so as not to get lost in the shuffle.

Red Alert...Shields up!

Lower low observed.  I know most of you dont care for this retracement but I think its great. More opportunity for cheap coin. I am curious what is driving this sell off for it is obviously artificial imo.

Bitcoin Price Threatens $10K as 50% of CME Futures Almost Expire

The upcoming CME futures expiration set for Friday is expected to have a significant effect on the next bitcoin price action as the biggest cryptocurrency threatens to plunge below the $10,000 mark.

According to a Tuesday post by the Skew Twitter account, the CME futures deadline will see almost 50% of open interest expire. According to past evidence, futures expiration sparks Bitcoin volatility. However, different events in Bitcoin’s history have behaved differently. Skew believes that the current investor appetites are more bearish.

https://www.coinspeaker.com/bitcoin-price-10k-cme-futures/

~50% of total open interest set to expire this week at CME
Some of those positions will be rolled but overall institutional investors have been looking elsewhere in August!

Since futures are a relatively short timeframed instrument, they're probably used by most participients mainly for milking the markets?
Btw. fresh Fiat coming in on my side, so bears please behave badly  Grin
