Maybe I missed the news. Does Bitcoin get a new CEO?

Or are you referring to this American play? Meh.

If you believe that a presidental election won't make a dent in the price of bitcoin you are in a dreamland of bitcoin as the only currency in the world and the "btc is all there is" type people's eyes only.

if trump wins you will see a big drop on the financial markets and lots of uncertainty -> btc rises

if clinton wins we may very well see violent uprising in some states with nationalgard and everything -> btc rises

if we get a too close to call result we see weeks of chaos, accusations and eventually violence -> financial markets decline, btc rises

edit: last but not least the US has warned russia that if it interferes in any way in the US-election it will react with a painful counterreaction onto the russian infrastructure. if that happens -> btc rise

The US elections should be pretty irrelevant to what BTC does: The policies are typically unaffected by the puppets elected, no matter what they've promised.

Haven't the markets learned from "Change"? Now they believe in "MAGA"?

I'm not sure if I'd call it a crash.  I seemed like a routine correction.

It went from under $600 to $750 in about a month then corrected to $700. That's a 25% rise and a 7% correction. Whoop-dee-doo.

Yes, there was one day when it dipped below $680 and that was a good buying opportunity for those who could take advantage of it.

Too bad I could only afford a half a coin due to a small cash-flow issue, but adding a half coin to my stash is better than no coins at all, so I guess you could say I enjoyed it.

Religion has no say in bitcoin (even if you are masking it with humor  Undecided Trumpville is going good & strong according to Michael Moore even though they are blind to what is currently going on in the world).

But some are strong devotees of bitcoin so you might say it has a religious like cult following. Wink

The first time China banned Bitcoin, it dropped 70%. This is quite an improvement. Like he said, so far this is a routine correction, which I had predicted the night before the news, and the news was a catalyst to set the gears in motion.

To believe in hidden puppet masters that control all politicians is nothing else than some modern and hateful version of religion as there is zero evidence and all those believers have to offer is that you just have to believe it so see it.

But like i said this shit doesnt belong here.

BTC is just another investment and will act like the rest of the market. When Hillary wins BTC might actually go down a tiny bit as the remote chance of Trump winning is finally removed. And if Trump wins all hell breaks loose  Grin

EDIT: In very short time, when Hillary wins trump will most likely challenge the outcome, and Russia and other countries will jump on the opportunity to f*ck things up (i.e. go into Syria hard core)

Doesn't matter, whoever wins will be blamed (or conversely given credit) for a big Bitcoin price move, corresponding with a coming World market crash sometime in 2017/2018 (take your pick: equity crash, oil crash, real estate crash, all of the above, etc., etc.)  The big market makers just need a plausible story, something to pin it to.

We also won't know if Bitcoin behaves like a safe haven (like Gold) vs. an equity/commodity until a World market crash actually happens.

May I ask what planet you've been living on for the last few years out of interest ?

"Zero evidence" planet sounds pretty attractive. I'll have to look that up Wink

In the meantime I must be stuck with the same "religious" delusions as AlexGR. Maybe if I close my eyes and ears.... Embarrassed
