price looks quite fucked now

I think we can get used to this.

I suspect that all the rise above 10k was due to the mass media promoting the reach near and above 10k heavily at this time, so lots of new money was flowing in.

This was a 1-time scenario.

I am not saying that Bitcoin will never rise again, but don't promote something like 25k/50k by the end of the year. There is just no base for that. We can be glad if we say above 10k and in the 10k-12k corridor.

I think I discovered the secret to trading Bitcoin last night. Pessimism.

You can argue all you like about the actual figures here as they were estimated. But they are roughly right imnvho.

And here I was about to celebrate being in the 7%.

To be fair I didn’t trade for two of those years so I don’t think it counts.

USD is the ultimate shitcoin

enormous premine, high inflation rate, unlimited supply

this thread is no place to discuss such a currency

Get real.. it is the subject matter and the trading pair of this thread.

We are not getting rid of the USD any time soon... and even though we know that it is inevitably going to decrease in value, it is what a lot of folks (including why this thread is world famous) are interested in the USD/BTC trading pair

While this looks prettier, I wouldn't use an evolutionary tree here, because you want to show that bitcoin is better, so all forms of money should be on 1 branch with bitcoin being the end point.
Evolutionary trees, and evolution in general are often misunderstood.  People often think that humans are the "pinnacle of evolution" and all the other branches are more primitive evolution-wise, while that is just not the case.

So is it time to buy or?

There seems to be enough pessimism around to warrant buying imo... Imma gonna enter a buy order a couple of hundred under what the price is now.
