Yes, Dolomites are very beautiful. I visited Dolomites 2 years ago.

I visited Dolomite back in the 70's.

Does anybody have a clue wtf is this?

Source: https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin/

There are almost 25million bitcoins transacted in the last 24 hours. That's bigger than the all circulating coin supply.

Someone with 1k btc needs to make 25k transactions in 24 hours to make this possible.

Quote
Bitcoins sent avg. per hour (last 24h)   1,034,709 BTC ($10,360,163,019 USD)

The question is, Wtf?

With secure transactions you can get this.

Example:

Account X with BTC100
You send BTC1 to Account Y

Account Z is created by your secure wallet
BTC1 will be sent to Account Y
BTC99 will be sent to Account Z

Your remaning balance is now in account Z
The stats say BTC100 was moved even if BTC1 was actually sent out to a foreign account.

P.S. This is done to protect your public key aswell as your private key. Only when BTC is sent does the source address need to provide it's public key.

Nothing spectacular. At one point I had almost 200 coins, but was selling/trading as it went up over the years. I was also scammed by a few coins during the wild west of bitcoin investing, but dodged a lot of bullets too (i.e. took out my investments before PirateAt40 ran with all the investors money). I have only around 30 left now but thanks to bitcoin I bought a land and build my house without having to pay the mortgage.
My total investment into bitcoin was roughly around 1500 EUR, some coins I bought at 4 EUR a piece. I stopped buying when it went above 30 EUR as that seemed to me as too expensive at that time (first big crash in bitcoin was from around 32 USD top). Since then I'm trading and have some invested in casinos house bankrolls. I still have a normal day job even if the income from trading/investing would cover my expenses, but bitcoin is too unpredictable.  Cool

Nicely explained!

And the more corn there is in an address, the more skewed the results will be, e.g., imagine one has BTC100000 in an address, and sends only BTC0.01 somewhere... Although only BTC0.01 was actually sent out, a whopping BTC100000 was moved.

Is anyone else getting spammed by CryptoSlate.com site without an unsubscribe link? I don't remember signing up for their news list and have no clue if they are a biased source or not. Looks like they like to run FUD pieces from a cursory glance.

Haha, the Pirate was a cool story indeed. I can’t remember the return but receiving the collateral back in time must have felt good afterwards.

All good things to those who wait

When someone says: "We'll never see 4 digits again"
Me:

For some reason there are still people  buying high and selling low. I can understand the mentally of a sick trader, who with bloody eyes sells in panic when his loss approaches 10%. But to do this constantly, and with such good news like bakkt and the halving is just beyond the sick mind. Of course, the clever buyers will use this new and little expected opportunity to increase their stash. I recall when in January I posted something like: "I just bought bitcoins from someone who will buy them from me above 30K hoping for a 10% profit which probably will be a 10% cut loss". Then I was mocked by a number of bear trolls, who explained with their charts that the bottom is way below 3k and that I will sell then and they will buy from me.  This never happened. Moreover, these guys are the same that buy now at 11K and sell at 10K. But again: in one week I will buy from someone who is willing to sell now, and one day I will sell at 100K to that same person who probably with bloody eyes will cut his loss a day after.

How much brain is needed that if you buy following the trend and sell with a 10% profit, then buying again but selling with the down trend cutting loss at 10% is a never ending trading cycle? Learn to hodl, people! Create a selling plan and live a free and happy life! I prefer to reach my goal in 1 year, but if not, I will be equally happy to buy more coins and wait 2-3-4-5-... years until the goal is reached. And by then, these coins will remain beyond my current selling plan for retirement/kids/etc..

Yeah, made a very nice profit there. As far as I remember it was like 6% a week.
