Fuck this dump.
When BTC broke above $300 in October/November 2015 and shot up to $500, It corrected back down to $300, and then it took nearly 7 months for it to break back above $500. Many people thought that BTC prices would not go back above $500 again. Here, we had a break up to $13,880 that broke back down to $9,049 (so far), and we have had nearly 2 months of bouncing around between $9k and $12,200. In other words, it is not yet time to panic, especially given the degree of our price rise up to $13,880 and the speed that it arrived. Yeah, we got BAKKT... and so fucking what? There are likely folks who want to shake a few trees to see if any weak hands are going to fall out. Anyone selling their BTC at these prices, or rather picking up a few moar corns? |

We are currently passing through the final valley of death on the 2015 fractal. If the fractal holds, we should be turning bullish within the next month. Please take your places on the train. We will be departing the station shortly.  I actually respect your analysis generally fairly deeply. But I am sad that I find this fractal analysis to be as dubious as I did back when it was point to a bearish future... That said, I hope you are right. |

A theory:
Funds got so infatuated with planB analysis (see his twitter) that they are smacking down btc every time it tries to rally much from the 'theoretical' 8-9K. At some point they will stop; maybe in a month (as HM suggests) or in 6-9mo OR anywhere in between.

  Btc/Usd CME Chart The first chart (4h) the yellow and the purple line didn't hold and now bitcoin has a second chance at the trendline. We are near the trendline area (white line). If the 4h candle closes and stays above the white trendline it will be a positive sign for a potential bounce to the upside. The second chart (1d) the daily candle is near the trendline but currently bellow the yellow EMA line which indicates support if bitcoin is above the line and resistance if bitcoin is bellow the yellow line. Bitcoin is currently in between the white trendline and the yellow (currently resistance) line. If we close the daily candle above the yellow line it will be a good sign. If that happens, the next stop would be the purple line and after that the upper white trendline. |

 I made this chart on August 12th. This is the longterm chart. On this chart we can clearly see that bitcoin likes the weekly 21 EMA line (the blue line). If bitcoin falls, It likes to bounce up on that line. Currently that line is around 8900 usd. The red line represents the long term trendline. |

Mining on earth (metals) is already controlled by governments. If you want to take over the bitcoin network it would be very expensive.
Gold on the other hand will have its value wiped out with one not so large rock moved into orbit around the earth. The age of metals being a store of value is almost over.

The prize is too great, it is just a matter of time before a corporation makes trillions from mining in space and totally changes the value of metals on earth. When gold is as common as iron is today what do you think the value will be? Even going back over the last 50 years, gold and silver have been rotten investments. Basically holding those metals is hoping for an end of the world type event. You'll be lucky if that happens and you are alive. More likely you'll be dead. Still a rotten investment! Since fiat currency is no longer tied to gold ... money is nothing but numbers. Pretty much the same as Bitcoin. I think bitcoin has a lot better chance of having value decades down the road as compared to gold. |
