Okay thanks. Yeah, I think they spotted the fishing attempt and paused withdrawals on the affected accounts as a precaution.
where did you see the phishing attempts ? I was offline the whole day, did I miss anything ?

Dunno why people are insinuating that people are trying to spread FUD saying that they have been stopped their btc withdrawals from stamp. How many people do you need to report the same thing before you beleive it. Oh here's my proof (check the date and time) About 50% of the last few minutes of messages explain to you that it is not a problem, and yet you still don't read them.... I read them thanks. I was replying to the people who were saying prove it/ stop spreading fud as clearly just saying my withdrawals aren't working isn't enough Yes, agree with you. There were several posts saying "Stop spreading FUD", and you wanted to make clear it's not FUD. Like I said, my withdrawal just went through, but I believe you when you say yours didn't. Sorry, my mistake.

I am calling BS. My withdrawal (several thousands of dollars) has been pending since 16th february. All Bitstamp did was sending of KYC questions on 18th. Since then NOTHING. And no I can´t use the money for trades either, they are just floating in limbo right now.
The problem everyone is talking about is BTC not $ So it´s perfectly okay, that people can continue to play with virtual money, but their bank accounts will stay empty? Thanks for clearing that up. I had the same KYC email when I requested a SEPA withdrawal, and I just answered the questions and provided a copy of my Passport and they proceeded my withdrawal, so I am not sure what are you waiting for...

Not good for a market that is already dipping its toes in fear.

where did you see the phishing attempts ? I was offline the whole day, did I miss anything ? I received emails from ' support@btcguild.com' yesterday and the day before for the first time which contained a link to download malware. A few other people got that email too, people that got that email get the error message when attempting to withdraw bitcoins from Stamp. I am not registered at BTC Guild, and it was sent to the email address I use for my Stamp account.

Fact: BTCGuild gives a statement about fake mails sent from their adress to emails belonging to BitStamp-Users BitStamp freezes some Accounts, independet of 2FA.
Some people use a separate e-mail address for every account, would be nice to hear if anybody like this also received the btcguild spam.

all the FUD aside, this market is primed for a crash.
it is only a question of time.
btc deposits not working on stamp as well.
You may have noticed we crashed from 1200 to 600 (in stages) How is it again primed for a crash exactly?

One moment, sir. I answered all the questions. However I didn´t scan my passport - I don´t have one and told them so (they already have the ID card and copies of bills anyway). Keep in mind, Bitstamp didnt reject my withdrawal or asked for any other information, they just went silent, while keeping the withdrawal money in no man´s land (Status: In process). I can provide pictures if needed.

I wonder how stamp knows which accounts received that e-mail, assuming that is the withdraw suspension trigger.

I have no Idea I am just speculating ...

I wonder how stamp knows which accounts received that e-mail, assuming that is the withdraw suspension trigger. Perhaps those accounts had multiple login attempts from various different IP addresses.
