There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I like the overlay but wouldn't the 2014 bottom be lower than the 2018 bottom because percentage wise, it did go lower?

Wrong indicator.  Both bounced off the 200 Weekly MA as shown by the purple line on the chart.

It's not just china that's underreporting. It's damn near everyone. The WHO is no longer calling it a pandemic. For some reason.

I have plans to stay in asia (thailand, with a week in malaysia) for another month and a half. Very curious if my travel will be impeded, and if so how.

Man loses $60M in Bitcoin when landlord cleaned the house and sent everything to the dump by mistake

Quote
Clifton Collins, a former security guard and a beekeeper turned weed grower/dealer, lost $60 million when his landlord cleaned out the house he’d been renting and sent everything to the dump — including Collin’s fishing rod case that hid his Bitcoin codes. Without the codes, the accounts can’t be accessed.

He had both BTCitcoin and Drugs. All wasted now Lips sealed
Lesson learned: Own a f**king room atleast when you have shit load of money and keep your codes safely.

He was stupid, and deserved it.

He ended up with over 6000 BTC. Why continue to deal drugs? He was already set for life. But he was greedy. And stupid.

All the better for us. Price will appreciate slightly, due to his stupidity. Thanks Clifton.

Haha.

Apparently the reason is that the pandemic classification no longer exists.

Also just took a look at their site and the articles they have up. It's all woke propaganda. We are dealing with a political organization here.

Just imagine finding a USB stick on the street, all crushed by passing cars, and taking it home, repairing it, and discovering that it contained the private key to thousands of BTC. Wet dream?

Has happened to me once (sans the BTC). Found the remains of a USB stick on the street (only the PCB had remained, and badly damaged). I tried to repair it, but couldn't. Could it have contained Satoshi's coins? No one will ever know.

I'm paranoid like that...

And fall foul to the infamous boating accident?

With 6000BTC he should have been living in a mansion with a fire proof panic room & his keys in there.

Almost certainly has a backup. He never challenged the seize order and seemed to be in good spirits saying more or less crime doesn't pay and the seizure was justified.
He acquired most of the btc back in 2012/13. I believe he was also arrested well before the ATH. Either way though, he was stupid moving weed in the back of his car and having a grow-house.
He split the 6000btc into 12 500btc wallets which haven't been touched since 2017 so it should be easy enough to find them. I suspect a plane ride when he gets out of jail.

"China Discusses: On Creating Bioweapons (2018)"

"If we use gene editing and transform these bacteria and viruses then we will be able to produce a more widespread and lethal supervirus or superbug. Then for this supervirus or superbug its killing capacity is similar to atomic and hydrogen bombs. Its comparable to chemical weapons so its very dangerous."

Government trust is being eroded as Coronavirus spreads more and more and govs downplay the implications and drag their feet on testing and forced isolation. The U.S. CDC has only bothered to test about 400 people.  Roll Eyes

When the Stock Boyz start to pile onto Bitcoin there wont be enough left for them to buy and miners will soon have half as many coins to sell to Stock Boyz and everyone else.

This Coronavirus is one of the most bullish things to ever happen to Bitcoin besides a Halvening. Now they are happening in the same short term time frame right in the early stages of Bull Season.

yes, but at the moment BTC is a bit lacking behind to Gold as an asset class for crisis situations IMO. the reason is a bit unclear to me. is it because of the early stage of that asset class for Institutionals or is it because of manipulation in a low volume market before the halving because everybody hold his bitcoins back to speculate for higher prices after the halving? this confuses me a bit. just saying.  Huh
