Hi, I just thought I could share some communication since November 2013. All answers is bullshit and they knew about it all the time. How can they have that in their conscience. I had rather spent the money for my children than these idiots that also probobly got payed to answer this questions (or was it that fat idiot who run the support as himself also)? Ashley, Dec 31 10:28: Dear Valued Customer, Thank you for the email. Sorry for the delay in response. Due to the high volume of support requests we are unable to respond at time. On checking we can see that you have requested the transaction through International wire transfer. Please note that the International withdrawals are currently delayed due to the backlog of transactions and limitations imposed by our bank. We are working hard to overcome the delay. We do not have an ETA at the moment. As of now the SEPA withdrawals are faster than International. If you need the funds urgently. Please allow us to cancel your withdrawal. So that you can trade and convert the USD funds to EURO and request a SEPA / Euro transfer if you have a bank account which accepts SEPA route. Best regards, Mt.Gox Team https://www.mtgox.com[Attention: Please protect your account using OTP to ensure that your funds are safe and secure. Failing to do so makes your information vulnerable to hackers. You assume that this support person responding to you in broken English occupies a position of importance within MtGox high enough to be able to have access to its internal workings and accounting procedures. I'd find it worrying if such an employee did have enough access to confirm any of the rumours at the time to be honest. Unfortunately in this case the logic that MtGox fails so hard at everything that even their lowest level employees must have been given privileged access doesn't follow. So, basically, hard to tell if Karpeles was lying to his customers or both his staff and his customers.

Are you nuts? I dont give a shit about your "sturle" and your private pussy vendetta you folks in here are producing.
Pussy vendetta? Some long-time members of this community willingly deceived newcomers. Thats not the point. Plz read what i was responding at. There is no reason why the average customer at MtGox did some "moral haszard behavior" and therefore deserves to loose his funds. Its obv another story if somebody bought Goxcoins at a later state in the story and knew the risk he was taking. In my opinion anyone with funds on Gox knew the risks he was taking. I'll state the obvious again: the writing was on the wall. In my opinion none of the customers with funds on Gox deserves to loose all his funds. Why should that be so? They didnt stole those funds, did they? Neither did they harm anyone just by depositing BTCs or FIAT at the exchange. Its their money and the obv deserve to get them back. I certainly agree with that but I don't see how those who bought "goxBTC" on bitcoinbuilder deserve less than those who just had their funds on Gox. Everybody knew the risks. Unless you withdrew the Gox BTC back to your Gox account from BB, all that Gox BTC is now with someone who has $400K USD and 8000 Gox coins + whatever deposits came through BB. Josh will be responsible for redistributing funds based on his exchange. Not sure how that will play out but I'm just mentioning it.

But for this size of company, like a one man show I think it would be hard to keep this issues by itself. I mean the office didn't even have corridors and the staff shared the desks as seen on pictures.

Very possible. Just check the blockchain, there are multiple addresses holding 50k coins just a couple of hops away from the 2011 transaction. Doesn't look like a theft at all, coins have been static for almost 3 years and they were not mixed in any way, it looks like the owner of those coins, which is Karpeles, sent them to different addresses in equal batches at the same time, just a few days after he did the big 500k transaction.

Closest we have come to evidence of anything other than Mark is a fat guy with aspergers and no one can get their money out of Gox. I don't even see this as good news because if its true and that is Gox's and the IRC chats are not fake it would be a good assumption that the fucker has forgotten the pass or lost the dam key. Edit: or was hacked back in 2011 and those are not his. Still a lot of assumptions and still no concrete evidence. Wish he would just tell us/ be allowed to tell us.

Another surprise I noticed I received pending JPY withdrawal just 2 days ago 25 FEB. So all my pending cash withdraw requests have been cleared. However still a few BTC remains in the account book but maybe not in the blockchain ledger Considering several BTCs sold price around 900USD in January, maybe I should be lucky in the last moments. It just reminded me the last moments of cyberrebate.com, which I used for everything for free after 100% rebate bankrupted in 2001 or 2002. Current status: BTC : suspended (Several pending requests processed)EUR : 6 weeks- (SEPA) Suspended (Several pending requests processed)JPY : 35 Calendar days Suspended (Several pending requests processed)SWIFT Wire transfer is in congestion. USD : 4 month or more (shorter if you pay 5% extra) up to 7 months Supended GBP : 3 month or more (better use SEPA conversion) Suspended CAD : 3 month or more (5% extra works as well?) Suspended Surprisingly I received the cash withdrawal requested on Jan15 today Feb19 I won't convert btc to cash under this circumstance, though another one still pending after being confirmed. Current status: BTC : 0-5 days suspendedEUR : 6 weeks- (SEPA) JPY : 8days (JNB) - 25 Calendar days (other Japanese banks)35 Calendar days SWIFT Wire transfer is in congestion. USD : 4 month or more (shorter if you pay 5% extra) up to 7 months GBP : 3 month or more (better use SEPA conversion) CAD : 3 month or more (5% extra works as well?)

The consensus here, as far as I can tell, seems to be that they won't ever open up any form of BTC or fiat withdrawals? All fiat deposited at Gox now will probably be used to pay Mark's legal bills? That's why I've been arguing for putting Mt. Gox into involuntary bankruptcy in Japan. Someone in the legal forum is gearing up to do that. Once that happens, a court-appointed receiver takes over control of all assets. Then, with full access to all Mt. Gox records, there's more hope of finding the "missing" Bitcoins. They're somewhere. With the FBI, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police, the Chief Cabinet Secretary of Japan, and the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York all asking questions, they might well be recovered. It took a while, but over half of what Madoff stole has been recovered. quote about half of what madoff stole has been recoevered Here's a bit of info on that http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recovery_of_funds_from_the_Madoff_investment_scandal"There have been attempts for the recovery of funds from the Madoff investment scandal. Approximately $5.868 billion has been distributed to victims of Bernard Madoff through the agency of trustee Irving Picard." "most victims will only receive roughly 34 percent of what Madoff stole, with only a handful being made whole" We need Picard! Some of that was clawbacks from investors that were belived to redraw investments and profits from Madoff unlawfully (knowing that he was insolvent). Edit: Effectively, the losses were spread over more people than the eventual bagholders, but it was losses anyway.

Then, having exported paper wallet, accidentally cleant up a coffee spill with it. Now he's probably letting the cat type random chars to perform a brute force attack on his BIP38 key. Not a bad Idea I got more faith in the cat right now than mark.

The fact that he moved in one time that very big amount of bitcoins suggests that the procedures mtgox was using were not very good. All of those bitcoins on a SINGLE ADDRESS and moved in one time? What if you make a mistake or lose that single private key??
He fucked all up really badly...
