...my derp was 0.00481861. With the same hashpower at Nicehash I made .0089 and .00931 at BTC.com. ...
You're comparing apples to oranges. You're looking at what you will get from the current block ( out of the next 5) and comparing it to what you got in total somewhere else. Granted, you'll not get a total of 5x the amount of the next block, but you have to remember that the next block is just a fraction of what you will get in total. Can you please tell me more? I mean, draw an example? with numbers? EDIT: you are saying that this derp from ck = 0.00481861 its something like 0.00481861 x 5 = 0.02409305. In other words, I will receive 0.02409305 split for the next 5 blocks? EDIT2: I am not a fast learner and I have no shame of that , shame I have to not understand something

OK lets use simple numbers to keep it simple... Lets pretend it takes a total of 1,000 shares to find 1 block (and to keep it simple, we'll pretend that it always takes 1,000 shares) If you mine and submit 10 shares (and you then stop mining): You get 1% of the payout in block 1 andYou get 0.5% of the payout in block 2 andYou get 0.333% of the payout in block 3 andYou get 0.25% of the payout in block 4 andYou get 0.2% of the payout in block 5 All for those 10 shares of that 1st needed 1,000 Note:None of these numbers are real and only for demonstration of how the system works.

If you have to ask "why?", you wouldn`t understand my answer. Always be on the look out, because you never know when you'll be stalked by hit-men that eat nothing but cream cheese....

I did write a little script to help automate the math work a little. If Ck doesn't mind the extra hits on his web server, I can run the script once a week and post the results. This will be a great stat to have access to along with the payouts to show the hash per user payout. Everyone loves stats... ck please consider adding and thx for your contribution puntpasskick and others whom have posted these manual lists... nicely done!

If you are not mining at ckpool.org, you are just doing it wrong.

Hey Everyone,
This is probably the wrong place to make my first post but here it goes. I'm new to this, idk why but a few days ago out of nowhere I've decided to get into mining. Right now I'm just doing browser mining which is taking FOREVER (20 h/s) I know it's inefficient but my computer is running all the time anyways. Now to get to my question, I already have the CGminer software on my computer and its directed towards CKPool and it's all setup and ready for a device, only issue is idk which one to go with. My budget is around $500 (I'm not cheap, I'm broke) and I was leaning towards going with x4 overclocked Gekkoscience 2 pac (estimated 60 GH/S) with a Anker USB hub and an Arctic Freeze fan. What are your opinions on that setup and how well would it do on CKPool or what are your recommendations on a rig/setup for my kind of budget that will run well with CKPool and get a decent payout? I know it's nothing robust but it would be easy to break down and take with me when I travel... when I actually have money.
Also I'm not running into this with the blind ambition of getting rich.
Oh, one other thing. I'm in the U.S., Eastern Timezone, What would be the best port to direct my software to?
Thanks for any input!!!
Mods: My apologies if this is the wrong place to post this, please move to appropriate sub forum. Reason I posted here is because my setup will be dedicated to CKPool.
Good morning, Sith_Ari. I’m in a similar spot as you, just slightly ahead. I played with CPU mining for about a week on Slushpool with very minimal results. I then took the leap and purchased four 2Pac miners and CGMiner on two old MacBook Pros (mid 2009 model and a 2007 model). I’m also doing CPU mining for Monero on the same computers. The 2007 model burnt out with one 2pac directly connected and one in a powered USB hub. Farewell old friend. Over the period of a couple weeks I e gotten my system closer and closer to all four miners running on a fresh Linux setup. I now have one 2pac churning away directly connected to the Linux computer and three other 2pacs on fairly weak powered USB hubs on the Mac. I’ll be investing in a Plugable 7 port USB hub to run three of the miners and one of the el cheapos to run the fourth. There is a whole thread on bitcointalk.org about USB hubs for the 2pac. I’m also on the East Coast. I connect to stratum+tcp://pool.ckpool.org:3333. It’s all an adventure. TheNedyType

The next block will come fast... My 2 T9’s are hashing hard, spitting out big shares, and move on up the list! This pool is awesome. It’s fun to watch yourself and others move up. I just wish the stats were in an easy to read format. Someone with the skills, please make a great website for the pool. Anyone interested in changing over to this pool should jump in, watch your workers climb that Payout list!

I kind of like the googlesk approach to no design what so ever lol - reminded me its a special place. I may put some work in and design some UI after our next block party.

Can someone explain the way the pool works stats work?
I see it refreshes regularly but new block "height" changes along with the rewards amount... Are these different blocks getting confirmations on rotation or ?
I am a bit confused as to what its showing is it shuffling through various blocks being confirmed?
Thanks in advance... I am used to seeing how slush shows their incoming blocks in sequence and wondering on the mechanics of the works stats...

That is the height of the block we (and the rest of the network) are current working on and the exact amount our total reward (including tx fees) will be if we find a block at that exact moment.

If you have to ask "why?", you wouldn`t understand my answer. Always be on the look out, because you never know when you'll be stalked by hit-men that eat nothing but cream cheese....

is everything working right with the payouts? on the jan 5th block i got a payout and i havent mined here for months.. ?
it was pretty significant too about 18$ .0012 btc..
the thing i was only mining here with 5 compacs so my hash rate would have been about 60ghs..
thats like almost a whole years worth of bitcoin mining on that hash rate in one block?
if everything is working ok, maybe i should put them back on this pool haha.. they are solo mining on solo ck now.. for a slim to non chance of a block..

When the pool 1st started I mined here for a while. I'm still on the list and have received the last 3 payouts. Drove me nuts for a while wondering where this .03 BTC came from. I figure 1 or 2 more and I'll drop off the list. Makes me wish I hadn't sold the S9.

Well, we hit a block on Friday morning and here it is Monday morning and our diff is already up to 20. 16 days isn't a bad guess. It's nice to see movement here. Honestly, I'm splitting my hash between here and another pool just because I need to pay the electric bills somehow, but if we keep going like this, I'll be here with 100% of it 100% of the time. I certainly like this pool a lot better.

Quick question about the payouts.
I'm nowhere near the top 100, but moving up the list slowly with my four little 2pacs. I've been mining here four a week or two, and a block was found here on Friday. My "postposed" is still at 0 (zero). Is that because I haven't mined here very long and I get passed up by the system on this most recent block? I'm just trying to fully understand the system.
Thanks.

The user postponed value is the number of times you've been postponed from receiving a payout from the moment you've earned enough to be entitled to one.
