I try different settings and I never get profits. In run test, 1 week the losses are always between -3 to -6% and from 07/26/2014 to 10/26/2014 the losses are between -30% to -45%.

Hi Tixel ,
    This is due to the price crash over the last few months and back testing being denominated in USD. Trading algorithms are not immune to price crashes but EMA is particularly resilient because it is suited to getting out of price crashes early and into climbs. The issue right now is that we have to wait for the market to signal a recovery and for the algorithm to recognize a true climb. Assuming you had been there at the beginning of the cycle (crash) you should end up with more BTC than you started into the "up" cycle.

Bots require volatility for short term profit and a long term outlook to account for mean deviating markets in sustained crashes and even in sustained upswings.

I'd like to take this opportunity to report to the community that our search for funding to finish Butter-X is unfortunately not going very well. As a foreign company we face a lot of unique issues. We are following some leads and as promised a resolution to the X situation will be given in December.

Should we not be able to raise the required funds to finish X, those of you who wish will be given the opportunity to use the Beta for a short period and take a look at where our efforts have been directed. I think most of you will find it has been a worthwhile project and we are striving to find the funds needed to bring it home.

We will also be refocusing our energy on further developing BB.

The time on my butterbot app keeps changing randomly. It was originally set to give values at 9:00 and 21:00. Then, two days later, it started giving values for 5:00 and 17:00. The next day, today, it is giving values for 11:00 and 23:00. I haven't changed any settings on the app, chrome, or my computer. Any ideas of how I can fix this?

   Butter actually gets the time from your computer clock, could you please make sure your computers time is set properly before we begin debugging this issue? If that's not the issue, please drop me an email at Pablo@butter-bot.com and I will go ahead an debug this for you post-haste .

I think this had been suggested before: Please consider adding China exchanges, i.e., BTC China, OKCoin or Huobi. For those who use EMA strategy, we know that a substantial cost comes from exchange fee. In view that there is no exchange fee from China exchanges, EMA strategy will be more effective.

Dear friends,
    As most of you know, we embarked on building Butter-X about one year ago, the goal: to build a bot that supported multiple indicators and could be "programmed" by users with no programming knowledge whatsoever to allow them to build, trade with as well as sell or gift their most effective algorithms to each other. We have been running the site in Beta for a few users for the past few months.

Although X is operable, it has a very basic UI and the store interface has not been built. We diverted a significant amount of our resources to building it as our new flagship product and we had lined up Binary and Forex partners to add to the platform and fuel the exponential growth we were experiencing. We relied heavily on several avenues which promised significant venture capital and which we believed were all but done; unfortunately, when the BTC market took a turn for the worst, these failed to materialize.

We have done everything in our power to raise the funds needed to finish X and launch and market it to a wider audience, but have been unable to do so despite our best efforts. As such, the decision has been made to sideline our focus on X for the time being and to refocus on Butter-Bot.
