Mine finally shipped, should be arriving by monday. Im hoping that the 20+ a day lasts at least a little while. With cheap electricity and semi annual dividends from my co-op based on usage (the more i use the larger the refund), could Roi in 3 to 4 months which is not bad in my book.

My L3+ made it through customs with no fee. Got a bill in the mail from fedex with $0 due. My next ones are with ups, i hope they follow suit. Ill admit that it would have been nice to see the $100+ a day "days"..  Are you guys converting to fiat or holding?

Where are you from since you didn't get any fee?

Yup, the US

My L3+ made it through customs with 20 usd fee only in Sweden yesterday. I was expecting 25%VAT

wow you lucky son of a gun! Which courier company?

Mining is not exact science, however Bitmain knew exactly how many miners they were making and knew exactly what difficulty and payout would there be for each batch.

The $1000 extra you paid on September batch is approximately the extra earnings for those early miners.

Face it, we all risk our own money but the profit goes to Bitmain  Grin
Sure, they also invest in R&D and put their money on the line to make the miners in the first place, so it's a tie.

The D3 will ROI in 6-9 months at best, perhaps 1 year from now.

1 year from now there won't be any new miners available, so the D3 will start making money for about 6 - 12 months, after which the 7nm or 10nm miners will come and we can all use the D3 as heaters (or book weights).

Guys, status of my order with D3 (15th-25th October batch) without PSU finaly changed to Shipped today. I paid via USD wire transfer.
I ordered also PSU (October batch) in separate order, but it's still Unshipped.
Is there anyone who has already shipped APW3++, October Batch?

we need a good firmware or asic reprogramming mode.. for change Algo from X11 to other algo x10 x13... baikal can change algo.. why D3 not? thanks came on good asic engineer Grin

Isn't Baikal x11 an FPGA ? I read about it being an ASIC a lot but these algos are quite different.

From what I was told Baikal is an FPGA and the firmware can be modded by software. I was told that it is not the case for ASIC's.

I know knc made a scrypt N mod from Scrypt but don't know the circumstances back in the day with knc titans

but anyway, seems to be other protocols besides x11 we are out of luck

I ORDERED mine in SEPT and have one DELIVERED in November....so I HOPE that mine shows up at the faster speed. (knock wood). Is that the case do you think?

Of course, at the rate returns on x11 coins is dropping we need a pretty big coin price pump or it is all moot anyway. Sad

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

seems like the 2Ghs came from Overclocking

17.5ghs = 487Mhz Frequency
19.3ghs = 537Mhz Frequency

So, its safe to conclude that u can now OC your 17.5g model

Doesn't that void your warranty?

Bitmain setting frequency higher to achieve 19.3 ghs will only guarantee a lot of miners failing prematurely. The D3 start to have a lot of HW errors at 70c+. I found it was most stable running temp 69c and under. once miner hit 70c HW errors would go into thousands on some cards causing it to crash and miner would need to be reset. The only way to run this miner at such high frequency is fan at 70%-100% which is super loud. If you have adequate cooling keeping miner under 70C it should run stable.

What do you think, will it be an option to downgrade it futher. I mean my stock or default settings are 19.3 / 537 freq.

It depends on temps. If you can get miner running on freq 537 w/temp at 69C or less it should be fine,but if miner is hitting 70c+ you might start to see issues like dropping hashing card to 0 every few hours. I had mine running on default 17ghs ,but HW errors kept me having to reset miners and losing a bunch of hashing power . Keep an eye on hw errors the higher they go the more problems you will have. I eventually had to down clock my miners to freq 456 and fans at 70% they ran super stable ,but downside is on 16ghs. Its all about your cooling D3.

void? if u flash newer firmware, then all previous data is wipe off?
u believe Bitmain is so free to run the ASIC test?

The D3 miner 15gh specs. Bitmain first batches 17,5gh and 3de HB unstable. Now the batches are 19,3gh by default?

Wow, for the winter no problem, but in the summer i am going to need a lot of that termal paste and ground air  Undecided
