When I can't sleep, I always try to close my eyes and imagine I'm on a rollercoaster, so I feel my head up and down. This works for me. You may try it  Cool

All of the following could help, though if it's been an issue for months you should see a doctor:
1. Exercise in the morning or early afternoon (but not evening)
2. Cut off stimulants early in the day (my cut-off is 3pm for a 1am bed-time)
3. Stop drinking alcohol
4. Keep your room cold at night if possible-- this stimulates sleep
5. Meditate prior to going to bed.

It appear that you may be suffering from a common case of mild depression.  Most likely it has to do with the downward spiral of bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies.  But without more information it is very difficult to accurately diagnose your condition.  You could try taking Nyquil or other sleep aid natural pills, but if you don't dig down and look at the root cause of the problems, this might turn into a nightmare.

Not sure if it works for everyone, but usually a few drops of lavender essential oil on my pillow and neck (just for the scent) helps me relax even after just shutting off my gadgets. It's definitely more difficult these days to go on a gadget break 1-2 hours before sleeping, but try relaxing your mind before sleep. Sometimes when I feel myself thinking too much I have to forcibly tell myself to calm down and focus on my breathing.

Hope you can get more sleep! Sleep deprivation definitely isn't fun.

You might be super stressed out, learn methods of meditation and try not to think and worry too much. Maybe you a slight change in your place of sleep it could be as simple and a little darker place and maybe more comfortable sheets and pillows.

You should visit a doctor. Insomnia is a serious problem. Your body will get tired and the organs will start to work incorrectly!
