Hello,
May I please have a DVC writers account? My email sureshootin71@live.com
I have been writing songs, poetry and short stories since I was in middle school.
I have never been published, however, it is still a desire of mine.
Thank you,
joose

"Leave Me Alone" To Stop A Bully!

When I woke up and got ready for school, I was in pure dread.
I'm a girl, 13. I dread going to school because I'm not well accepted. As a matter of fact I get BULLIED. And I am quite tired of it to be precise. Like I said I "WAS" in pure dread, as in past tense.
The rest of my decisions today were about to change my life! Thank God and Grandma!
When I walked into the kitchen grandma was sitting there at the table eating her oatmeal. She could see it in my face, something was wrong. Grandma could see I was the unhappiest girl on the planet. Well, she didn't ask me what was wrong. Grandma said good morning dear, As I was getting my breakfast she began her story................

You'd have to edit your writing more than you did for that piece you posted. That's really not a good example, at all.

HunterBunter we get any new blocks yet?

sadly, no...although do you know what the debug log would say if it was the winning client? I'm going to put a grep in crontab and make the internet explode if we get one.

With the pools current hash rate (60 GH/s), it'll take maybe 5 years to actually get a devcoin block - assuming difficulty doesn't increase, which of course it will, so it's basically impossible until mine or another pool using the daemon hits maybe 100TH/sec, which is about 0.5% of the total bitcoin network hash rate, and that'll give it a block a month if it grows as quickly as the network does (maybe).

Even to win one of the pool bounties, it's actually going to take a year or more at this rate. I didn't really know how hard it would be to attract miners, and it is very! I was lucky a 50odd GH/s miner joined, who knows if they'll stick around or more will join them. I doubt the admins are willing to count the bonus payouts as part of the calculation, of which I've already paid out approx 0.062 btc worth of devcoins to miners, if I've calculated it correctly. Awarding the bounty on the bonus payouts kind of defeats the purpose, though, since it was to increase devcoin access etc. When the rules were set, a year ago, paying out 0.02 btc in devcoins was a hell of a lot easier than it is today, although getting the miners to produce 1 btc may still have been hard back then (but def not as hard as today).

On a side note, the devcoin daemon seems to be sporadically shutting down. The debug.log isn't really showing anything suspicious, so I'm a bit lost as to the cause atm. I'll continue monitoring it to see if I can spot a pattern. The other daemons aren't having this problem.

Yes but this USD/altcoin price is affected by Bitcoin price so it doesn't tell much about exact altcoin itself.

That's his point. The DVC price is stable, not really rising or falling compared to the USD.

Now, if the btc price rises *and* the dvc price stays above 120 satoshis per btc, I'll be impressed.

I also would be impressed if this will be new stable price od DVC, I think not yet. Not in these times when all crypto world is coming through crisis.
