are those cobwebs or is that smoke?
Looks like tape.

Yeah , it's tape , god knows what's doing there.
But , couldn't they come with something more professional looking nevertheless?
This looks like Alf's spacecraft! And that thing crashed.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

First , again comparing it with others?
If others sucks , so should we?

In a previous post you were wondering :

Just posted on twitter

First Baby Jet - LIVE at Inside Bitcoins booth 21 in Vegas!!!!

Just a display case probably. I'd be surprised yet relieved to see it hashing.

I'd be surprised if its not hashing.

Did it?

the point is, they dont suck just cause they show you unpolished pics from their bench. no asic-manufacturer that shows us such pic sucks! why should they? thats just how this business works.

Lets just face it, not everyone is always going to be happy and its easier to be negative in a forum than give kudos to those who are working hard to bust ass and get stuff done.

The problem w/ HF was never the hardware, they seem to have some talented engineers.  The problem was the sleazy and dishonest way they went about selling off stock they knew they couldn't deliver upon.

Intentional or not, I think the stock analogy is appropriate.  Keeping my head out of the TOS and MPP weeds, that's kind of the way I look at it, and maybe HF should too.

So.. we are starting to get some power numbers:
https://hashfast.com/second-tests/

Quote
“We’ve got two dies up on this. Right now we are clocking it at 700mhz and .84v core voltage. It’s doing 248Gh/s on only 2 dies! Half a Golden Nonce.

Consumption is around 300 watts total and 78C die temp.

So... we are looking at ~600W total for around ~500GH? Obviously the 25% extra hashrate is nice, but I thought we were expecting the total power to be under 1J/GH.
I guess that isn't going to happen unless we underclock.

Exciting...

50 more runs of those two trays and B1 will be complete (though it looks like two of those boards still need asics placed).

Hopefully they dialed in that SMT machine from that video or we might have some power issues.

So essentially roughly the same power efficiency as KNC, shipped late and at higher cost.
