So.. we are starting to get some power numbers: https://hashfast.com/second-tests/“We’ve got two dies up on this. Right now we are clocking it at 700mhz and .84v core voltage. It’s doing 248Gh/s on only 2 dies! Half a Golden Nonce.
Consumption is around 300 watts total and 78C die temp.
So... we are looking at ~600W total for around ~500GH? Obviously the 25% extra hashrate is nice, but I thought we were expecting the total power to be under 1J/GH. I guess that isn't going to happen unless we underclock. So essentially roughly the same power efficiency as KNC, shipped late and at higher cost. So KNC wins, and will make much more money if there is ever a round #2 match... Let's see if Cointerra gives HF an ass kicking at half the cost, they might even deliver by the end of the year

can you cook pizza with that thing?
If you make a pizza that needs a few minute 150C soak followed by a spike to 230C and it doesn't have any water in it, then it will cook it just fine.

KnC doesn't have MPP... but KnC also shipped when they said they were going to START shipping (well roughly). C'est la vie. Sometimes you eat the bear... sometime the bear eats you.

Die temps @ 700MHz with all four active are going to be interesting. I have to say it's more than a little disconcerting that some of those boards are missing the ASICs and all of them are missing the microcontroller or whatever that chip is they had the AVR32 board wired into. That doesn't seem like volume production to me.

How's the difficulty been these last two months we missed mining due to late delivery and how much will that impact us do you guys think?
From 1 Nov to 1 JAN a 400 GH/s rig would generate ~17.6 BTC based on historical difficulty and the next projected difficulty change on Dec 22nd. Now that assumes delivery on 1 January delivery. At the end of December, a 400 GH/s rig will generate ~0.2 BTC per day so feel free to adjust that +/- 0.2 BTC per day based on when delivery actually occurs.

The boards on the right hand side. I can see two boards with the dies painted green, any reason for that? Over cooked or they forgot the plastic protector on.

Apparently 500GH is underclocked.
At this point, under- or overclocked doesnt really have any real meaning yet. When you under or overclock a chip, its changing the clockspeed in relation to the manufacturers default speeds. These chips are still being characterized.

Still no word yet that they're shipping us 2x sierras with 5 modules in total each running at 500Gh/s as a result of the lies and deception?
That is not going to happen. I suggested that long time ago and the answer was a big NO. They don't care even a little about customers after they have your money

Idiots will still buy from them, and they are probably selling in the order of millions per week - they really don't care about compensating batch 1 convestors to have more sales; they have plenty already.

Wow! Five hundred gigahashes/sec per chip. With room to overclock. And more: HALF A TERRAHASH/s (500GH/s) on a single chip. HashFast ASIC Golden Nonce- Half a Terrahash Complete bitcoin mining system as found in the BabyJet This result was achieved during the bringup process of HashFast’s GN chip and module. The engineering team are progressively testing the system, and have not yet reached the full speeds the system was designed for. We expect to see better results over the next few days. This milestone represents a breakthrough in Bitcoin mining technology and is several times faster than existing Bitcoin mining chips. We are starting volume production of mining systems now. Stay tuned for further speed results.

"Bitcoin enables ordinary people to fight back, to avoid and evade snooping governments, which enact, use and abuse laws that allow them, without due process, to investigate, tax, control and seize privately owned assets." - Leon Louw
“We can say without equivocation that firms like MasterCard, Visa and the TBTF banks like JPMorgan and Goldman hate the idea of ever having to compete for business again. They have grown comfortable in their corrupt world of writing laws for themselves without any regulatory oversight. They enjoy the exorbitant privilege of bilking the American economy with extortionary transaction rates. They are scared of Bitcoin. And they should be. It offers transparency, cost efficiency and anonymity.” - Max Kaiser
