Actually Ethereum is the second best cryptocurrency after Bitcoin and that will not change. Next year will be the year of altcoins, that's true. But Bitcoin will stay number one for some time. Ethereum price will go up in a steady pace, but Bitcoin price will also increase. Bitcoin could be 30K next year March, Ethereum will double or triple and will only be max 4 or 5K.

I can not understand one thing, Why do many users predict and express an opinion that video from can reach Bitcoin level? This is from the realm of fantasy and I do not believe in it. I think that the price of an etherium is quite realistic, up to $ 5000, But no more. |

I dont even think that bcash would overtake bitcoin. There are a lot of money linked to the ''bitcoin'' word. Everyone talks about ''bitcoin'' not ''ethereum'' or ''bitcoin cash''.
There are many alts with good technology but they are young and untrusted.

I think it is still far away from bitcoin if you talk about the value and the caps.
Maybe in some years when bitcoin price is too high and cause its fee is so high, then people will consider and move into ethereum.
Many tokens are also built on ethereum blockchain and the transaction fee is still small and lil bit faster.

But i think there is no chance to overtake BTC ... ETH now use for ICO rise , if the ico close than ETH price will be down

bitcoin is the main altcoin and will never be replaced, but ethereum also has excellent potential, both in trade, investment, and plus ico also has many coins based on ethereum. I'm sure ethereum can balance the bitcoin, but not mean beating bitcoin.
I think hundred years before ethereum surpass bitcoin, because time come pass and their value are increasing and increasing. So I have no doubt regarding continues investing in bitcoin. Ethereum have a lot of potential and their system is pretty cool, but only exchange of token is the only way to encourage people to invest in this coin. |

This is what cannot happen as both coins have different features. ETH is mostly used as platform for the developers and high percentage of share is holeded by the developer which he can dump any time and kill the coin. Bitcoin is free and no one is controlling it. |

There are absolutely 0 chances for ETH to take over BTC. After all these ICO's cooldown the marketcap of Ethereum will drop down dramatically. It's not even the best platform for tokens anymore, the blockchain constantly gets clogged. There are far better platforms for tokens nowadays and people will figure that out soon. Go do some research before talking about things that you have no clue about.
I think he's just wishing this because he owns a lot of them. His OP almost sounds trollish. |

I believe anything can happen at any time. Although bitcoin is the strongest coin as we speak but if ethereum should continue at this pace it is currently moving in few years it might meet up with bitcoin or even surpasse it.

Depends, But practically speaking it won't happen because bitcoin already rooted in bitcoin world, Bitcoin standing is too far from etherium,I don't know what will happen in the future, The answer relies to the hands of majority:)

I don't think Ethereum will overtake bitcoin. Just because of the pump last time you thought that eth will overtake bitcoin? I don't think so. Bitcoin's market cap is growing. But since there was a correction, it will slow down.

I think it will be difficult to exceed bitcoin. we all know, bitcoin has always been a major investment in virtual currency. although I admit eth has a smart contract. but they can not be a benchmark to determine the future of eth. although I agree eth is very good in the future. |

im very like ethereum as it has more function then bitcoin. atleast eth more cheap then bitcoin. i cannot stand with the high fees of bitcoin. it really killing a lot of users. better more using ethereum for transaction at least i can use it to buy some altcoins with easy.

Well in today's bitcoin's standing, etherium is way far behind it. But I believe that etherium has a potential to overtake bitcoin since etherium is next to bitcoin with the most widely used currency for transactions. And bitcoin continue to have hard forks that can gradually damage it in the future.
