I absolutely did not think they wouldn't keep some, but I think we deserve to know how much they are going to make off of our investment (and our loss) And honestly at this point you just seem like your trolling (not only this thread, but most of the ones you post in)
EDIT: yea responses on about 90% of your posts point out your trolling, while the other 10% is just ignored.
You didn't think they would make a profit off their business? I understand you are not happy about the delay but expecting them to go in to bankruptcy so you can get the maximum possible compensation makes no sense.

Yea, but it's okay for it's investomers to go into bankruptcy or major debt because a company's gross incompetence. Makes sense!

They aren't mining anything in their data center because they don't have a complete board yet, it won't be done until tomorrow for testing. If you read the update, the manufacturer of the circuit board hadn't started it on time.
I dunno why you don't just ask for a refund if you're so upset that you don't have your miner yet.

You didn't think they would make a profit off their business? I understand you are not happy about the delay but expecting them to go in to bankruptcy so you can get the maximum possible compensation makes no sense. Oops, was watching baseball/draft and just realized that was phrased badly. Of course I expect them to keep some and make a profit, but this first batch was entirely funded by our orders, and they have said numerous times that there isn't anything else they can do. And yet, they are keeping untold numbers of chips, currently mining with untold number of chips, and delaying things further and further, without giving clear roads. There is still not a timeline on when the X-1's will start to ship, and on top of that, the LCD (which apparently was such a nice feature, even though 99% of people will set up the miner either some place they visit rarely, or will never look at it) will not even work with what is looking to be the entire first batch. Add on that they are missing specs (doesn't matter if better than antminer, still on par with spondoolies, and worse than AsicMiner (proven) and BFL (allegedly)), and I think we are entitled to some answers/compensation. The only reason they will make a profit is because we paid for their development and run of chips. You cant tell me you enjoy being lied to, strung along, lost money, and finally screwed over with the compensation? And anyone who says they do not have to compensate anyone, you are plain wrong. They clearly said at the beginning that they would match any price per GH with extra units shipped, now it seems that doesn't really matter. Or perhaps BA knows that since they haven't shipped, it isn't worth talking about anyway. Also, the entire delay was due to chip optimization, and yet, we are higher than the specs that were released before their "optimization process". Bobsag, I hope you demand to see every inch of their business and let us know how many chips are currently "being tested" at their facility. Im not leaving until I can take away a finished X3 [1 box at least, bringing an empty suitcase], and if I can a X1 without a case. Will also take as many pictures as I can upload over vpn. I have not left yet, waiting for final go from them to leave.

Bobsag, I hope you demand to see every inch of their business and let us know how many chips are currently "being tested" at their facility. This is a fair enough response. I agree that the delays are unfortunate along with the chip optimization that apparently lead to a less efficient chip than the competition. However unlike you and many others I don't feel like I have been lied to. As far as I know, every single asic manufacturer who accepted preorders has been wrong about final power/efficiency along with shipping dates. If BA can ship x3s early next week then that would be reasonably fast tapeout to market. As for compensation, I don't think I have been screwed over at all. BA is charging about $2.5/gh currently and with compensation added in it comes out to $1.7/gh which beats just about everything on the market (s1's excluded) But I do agree that bobsag should and probably will check out every inch of the operation and let us know if anything fishy is going on.

Thank you for your response, I respect your feelings if you do not feel like you have been lied to and are being cheated, unfortunately I, and many/most others, do not feel the same.
Thanks again for your work Bobsag, still awaiting your response on whether your team can get my extra units ready with a standard ATX PSU, as I do not want to send these guys another dollar, and I imagine this could make you guys a lot of money as I can imagine more people would rather pay you than remit another dollar to BA.
I have no info on the alternative ATX solution yet. At this point im focusing on getting on the ground there to get answers in person, instead of pulling them away from their work I can do the public info.

I think BA is providing more information at these last stages than any other outfit I've read has done. Instead of informing people of each step, they are getting ridiculous negative feedback about all of it. No wonder ASIC manufacturers stay silent, otherwise they gotta listen to people crying like babies over matters that aren't settled yet.
Nothing they've said about power is final and everyone is taking it as gospel. They've said what the problems are and what they are doing about it. Yet people continue to freak out that it's a done deal and their miner is being delayed and then shipping at 150 watts per chip plus a broken LCD screen and no refined compensation.
They've said...
1. The power problem is part of a bad inductor and they are getting a new one next week.
2. The LCD screen will be updated later and will not hold up shipping at all
3. Compensation / Price matching per gh will happen at shipping time.
4. They have the engineers looking into the power issues further to continue to refine it.
So shipping is delayed until early next week. By then we'll have real power figures and information on compensation.
I know it screws up everyone's weekend plans that their miner wasn't going to arrive yet from China and a few of you may go bankrupt in the meantime, but everyone else should just pool together the last of your food that you have left and try to weather the storm on these last few days before the bank comes to take the house.

Yesterday I ordered the X3 PSU for the compensation X3 item and note, that the new company name is Destino Limited (the UK company who want to receive the funds of wire transfers). But on both orderings (#2120 and #4421) there is no shipping. When is shipping? The only information is "X3s are scheduled to start shipping early next week." (Date: 08 May 2014, Source: https://www.blackarrowsoftware.com/store/bitcoin-miners-progress-update-09-may-2014.html). So, shipping is really between 12 May 2014 and 18 May 2014? And this includes the extra compensation item for X3 including the X3 PSU I ordered yesterday?

i cant believe that they said shipping starts next week and customers still do not have an idea what to expect..dont have clue about final specs, about compensation(an extra 1th unit) and its shipping time and price-which includes PSU that we need to buy as a part of compensation..all of this is just ridiculous!

On the other hand. Would you rather wait or have the X-3 in hand and hashing with possibility / propability for firmware upgrades to upgrade hashing rate?

We was waiting for months to have more efficient product then others on market and what we got?we got more investment, another delays and non-efficient product which will be useless in a short time..if the goal is just to get it,then they shoul send us just an empty case so we could have it at our homes..

I am just happy Bobsag3 is on his way soon and all the information that will bring, the pictures and the status. I am sure he will talk to them about the compensation plan aswell.
I agree.... people have bashed bobsag3 and minersource. But truth be told, if it wasn't for him then i would have pulled out long ago. Matt, i truly appreciate your efforts, you have made a miserable situation more tolerable.

Wow they keep getting cheaper and cheaper. So so tempted to buy a few Don't buy. They promised batch 1 orders to be delivered Feb 28, 2014. Then delayed it to April 30, 2014. They still haven't delivered Batch 1 X-3 units. But are already promising batch2 units for next week when they can't even fill orders for batch1.
