sorry for not being up to date on everything that is going on
wallet server died, rebuilding wallets
how do you bootstrap the blockchain? is there a more current blockchain DL than the 6-28-15?
Kiklo's your man. I had a look at his bootstrap page and HoboNickels is currently syncing with a bang-up-to-date snapshot. Full instructions on how to use the bootstrap is on Kiklo's bootstrap page: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1378653.msg14024451#msg14024451thank you

@B3dr0ck My HBN bootstrap and blockchain snapshot are still a few days from being completely synced. I will post in this forum when it is ready. FYI: Cryptochainer has one that is a month or so old , if you need it immediately. http://cryptochainer.com/dir/?page_id=881

Wow I like HBN at this price. Can finally grab a decent sized staking bag without breaking out too much BTC for it.

A surprising amount of negative attacks on HBN over the last week. Seems like a play right out of page 7 on 'How to accumulate crypto at bargain prices".

hey, if you buy too much you'll have to marry this baby For someone that sold all 3 of their HBN, you certainly are worried about how much HBN others have. Don't worry about the rest of us, we are grown ups , we can handle our own investing. A surprising amount of negative attacks on HBN over the last week. Seems like a play right out of page 7 on 'How to accumulate crypto at bargain prices".
Right , if they sold out , they really have no further reason to be here.

Too much speculation! I suspect Tranz is still very much with us. With something as good, and as well thought out as HoboNickels, I think it logical that he would take great pride in his achievement and keep an occasional eye on the project.
We shouldn't blame him for taking a back seat and ignoring any crassness that appears here. He has a life to lead ... and lives can be complicated enough without having to be tied to this thread 24/7, on demand. I notice that he does pop up when something tasty appears.

24/7 ? Last Active: 27 February 2016 i wdn't be here at all if not that fact. not much effort to drop a line once a month That doesn't bother me at all. Perhaps Tranz has other personas on Bitcoin Forum. Perhaps not. For me it isn't an issue. This coin is almost three years old. I've been with it for two. In all that time HoboNickels has run smoothly for me like a dependable friend, and I have never had a problem with it.

you'r welcome, 5h30m more to train your skills on me, then all this will look like talking to yourself
Cute , are you going to delete your posts? You're quoted in mine, so your asshatness will be recorded for historians. Try again. FYI: Oh I get it , you think you're some special hacker that can crash or fork HBN in 5h when your coins mature. Any relation to cynicSOB ? i always delete them after some time. all answers - nope Ok , so you just go around being an asshat, and then delete all of your posts. Takes all sorts. So what is the 5 hours timer for , will you be leaving for daycare? not a timer, very approx, simply next session besides i can always contact presstab or any guy for real stuff by pm or mail, historians and trolls not my concern OK, I'll bite what exactly are you saying , because it may makes sense in your head, but the meaning is getting lost when translating it into written word.

OK, I'll bite what exactly are you saying , because it may makes sense in your head, but the meaning is getting lost when translating it into written word. coz u'r talking too much, meaning was simple - i sold most of my tranz coins as being abandoned, and recommend to find your beloved dev or take over. take it to historians Nope, still not understanding that language of yours. But I don't speak Asshat, so that could be the problem. FYI: The elusive or just plain retarded Ax66 , has deleted all of his posts in the forums. (4½ hours earlier than he predicted.) Is it just me or did Ax66 remind anyone else of Colonel flagg from Mash?

HBN is fine as far as I can see. Tranz set the code up to pretty much take care of itself forever. Cryptopia lists coins on their market forever (or so I heard). I guess there is always room for more marketing and more exchanges, but I think that could be said about 99% of all coins in existence.

and orphans ? now i have 3-4 per every stake, and it's slowly getting worse day by day Which is the fault of the stakers at the moment, all they have to do is keep a minimum of 5000 or 6000 HBN per Block, and it fixes the orphan issue. But you have a bunch that are leaving only 100 or 300 in a block, and they are causing the congestion. Do you blame the car manufacturer when the drivers stop and hold up traffic? FYI: That is why I keep posting this.HBN Staking TipManually Combine all of your HBN Coins into blocks of 5000 or 6000 HBN per Block to Improve Syncing and Increase your Earned Compound Interest. The more people that do this the better the HBN Network will run.

and if they do the opposite despite all your speeches, what's then ? that doesn't seem like code which "take care of itself forever" The orphans are not a problem in any way. Just hit 'repair wallet' now and then, wait a couple of minutes and all of them are gone. Actually, the network runs without any problem for an incredible amount of time. Yes, it's resource hungry and somewhat sluggish but 100% reliable even without Tranz interfering. And please stake any amount you like. High POS-diff gets you less coins but also less inflation. It's in perfect balance. Have a great day.

If you want Government Control / Dominance stick with Fiat. So if you want syncing to improve merge your blocks, if not just complain or pick another coin with less orphans. But since you delete your own posts, I don't really see any point to your complaining.

It's in perfect balance. Have a great day. He is complaining about the repeated attempts to stake, I believe , not the ledger showing the missed attempts. Which combining HBN the way I suggested would help more people stake on the 1st attempt. Staking low amounts will cause massive orphans issue and the congestion we are seeing on the network for the past few weeks and these people lose compound interest by low staking, so they really need to stop it. Telling people it is ok to low stake is very bad advice at the present time, with the coin's current specs. FYI: Merging the HBN per block will improve the syncing & staking. Everyone have a good night, .

i'm not complaining, don't need any profit from this, it's for fun. well since you're sure small stakes are bad for the moment, i'll do exactly that with remaining coins, split into a myriad tx, to test the network. that will take time........
Well you are 100% free to do as you see fit! But small stakes really don't bother the network, it just drives inflation down for which I am grateful: low inflation means less coins to sell means price drop is less likely. And if you are troubled by getting a lot of orphans, if you have the chance, try staking at a bad ass fast computer and you find your chance of getting orphans dropping significantly. But then again, why bother. Orphans are no problem, you lose nothing, the coin block will stake again until it's accepted by the network.

It seems like we are heading towards 200 btctalk pages with this meaningless chitchat Long live HBN .. but we are heading towards 20BTC capitalization for sure and it is not obvious if HBN jump to +1k sat price ever back

It seems like we are heading towards 200 btctalk pages with this meaningless chitchat Long live HBN .. but we are heading towards 20BTC capitalization for sure and it is not obvious if HBN jump to +1k sat price ever back I don't think that the "chitchat" has been meaningless. I believe that price manipulating 'sock-puppets' from other coins who are up to no good have tried to move in on HoboNickels. I've seen the same sort of mountain-out-of-molehill, 'faint-heart negativity', trying to build something out of nothing on the threads of other altcoins. From what I have seen, HoboNickels has been robustly defended. Since you are obviously focused on the price, I would have thought that you would have appreciated those efforts to some extent. - HoboNickels is safe. Of all the POS coins I have holdings in, and of all of the many that I have tried, I regard HoboNickels as the top POS coin. Number One.
- Coin-supply inflation has never been a problem. HoboNickels has an intrinsic, scarcity value potential - and I believe that it is massively under-valued.
- I also believe that this will become apparent in the not-too-distant future when there will be a shake-down in the altcoin world, when the real world moves into serious crypto-currency investment due to economic crises, with the coming of age of the cryptos, and the like.
