From the screenshots he sent me his friend who is traveling abroad with him also has a account and lost 0.65 worth of bitcoin and about 3 bitcoin cash. This friend was never asked for KYC and is now saying since he is also a American Citizen who is traveling abroad with him his bets should be voided and the bitcoin and bitcoin cash should be returned. From a legal standpoint shouldn’t players who only lost in the same situation have there bets voided and the bitcoin returned?
I don't know the details of this situation, but to be honest, it would be stupid to give them their money back. If that'd be the case, everyone can gamble huge, and if they win keep the money and if they lose complain to get the money back. That's not how it supposed to work. If you gamble online, you know the risks, and if you win you win and if you lose you lose. Just my two cents.

The issue boiled down to the fact that we couldn't verify that the player was from a non-restricted territory with the identification provided. As we are not allowed to accept bets from players from restricted territories, all bets were void and we returned the initial deposit before closing the account. Who prohibits you to accept bets from restricted countries? After a player lost, will you refund all losses if he is from a restricted territory?

Cloudbet don't need KYC if you are losing, but when you start winning by chance, suddenly they remember that you need to provide KYC. Everyone can see that, even a 2-year old child. If you gamble online, you know the risks, Yes, you know the risk of scamming people too. if someone would steal 1 BTC from me, I would find that scumbag and break his scull. But that's just me.

Hello all, Unfortunately I seem to be yet another target of the cloudbet scam. Here is what happened to me: I deposited 5btc into cloudbet, without using any affiliate programs or anything like that. I just wanted to do some sports betting. After using the service for a few weeks, I withdrew my balance and kept 0.05 btc in the account. One night I decided to do some live betting on tennis, and went on a hot streak - ran the account up to 1.7btc. Cloudbet quickly proceeded to lock my account and requested documents for verification of my identity (defeats the purpose of using online services and BTC, but ok). I quickly provided those documents, as i wanted to withdraw my funds and use them for other purposes. It has now been 6 days, and the only response I am getting from them is "it is still being reviewed by player safety team", and of course that this is being done to ensure MY safety. Obviously that is a bogus excuse for wanting to screw me out of my money. *fast forward 20 minutes after posting on the forum* Shortly after posting this on the forum, i received a reply from cloudbet: "Dear americandream, Thank you for contacting Cloudbet support with the requested documents. The documents that you provided to us indicate that you are a resident in a country that we do not accept registrations from. As we do not accept players from your jurisdiction your account has been closed. The balance on your account has been frozen due to bets placed which otherwise would not have been accepted & you have withdrawn more than your original deposited sum. I trust this meets your understanding. Cloudbet Security" I provided them my American documents. Shortly after reading that they do not accept players from this jurisdiction, I have also provided them my Russian documents as I am a dual citizen, and as explained to them currently Traveling and living all over the world, currently in Netherlands - Amsterdam. Now you can clearly see that this SITE IS A BIG FAT SCAM. Do not be mistaken, this was an intentional action to DEFRAUD me of my earned winnings and using the "jurisdiction" as an excuse. I personally know people who use this site, from "unauthorized jurisdictions" and they have a VIP client service member who is well aware of my friends residency, yet their accounts aren't closed or investigated. I will proceed to post all relevant information I have to this and then proceed with legal actions. Here is a screenshot of their live support telling me that I will likely be able to withdraw my funds:

Hey Young American,
Maybe if we don’t get results we can collaborate together from a legal standpoint. The coin due is not even due to me. It’s a friend who I referred. Maybe not a friend much longer.
So I’m dealing with the fallout of cloudbet not paying the player his 3.5 bitcoin winnings. I’m close to losing a lifelong friend over this which is very sad.
I’m really hoping Ronnie can work this out for us. Doing the right thing goes a long way in life...which is all I’m asking for from cloudbet.
Please do the right thing.
Thanks Ronnie
Hi, I have been doing research and am seeing alot of these same situations. We can definitely collaborate on legal action. Perhaps there's enough victims out there for a class action. I am also asking for them to do the right thing and simply release my funds. Funny enough - I was also referred to CloudBet by a friend, who is US based and is a LARGE better ($5,000 min bet). He has a VIP agent at CloudBet that helps him with withdrawals, etc. The VIP agent is WELL AWARE that my friend is US based. Granted I will not stop being friends with him because CloudBet turned out to be SCAMMERS. Instead - he has stopped using them as of this morning and will be willing to provide as much information as possible for me to be able to retrieve my funds via legal route. PM me, cheers

Young American I’m hoping for the same result... they eventually release the coins. We have a chat transcript where the live chat agent specifically says American citizens can place bets and assured the player he would be paid his winnings.
A class action suit is definitely a good option. I’m keeping my fingers crossed it’s just nothing more than a misunderstanding!
Do you have the transcript posted? Can I please see it? They also told me in live chat that I will be able to withdraw my funds, even if the account gets closed.

It’s really long. https://m.imgur.com/5dazl3oThat is not that long and clearly states that we were allowed to place the bets. I've registered cloudbetscam.com and will use my available resources to build and market that site to deter as much future business for them as possible, unless we're made whole.

Get a kick out of this: After i sent their "support" department this: "I urge you to reconsider and release my funds, or this will only be the beginning: https://cloudbetscam.com/I will give you 24 hours to reply and solve this nonsense before passing the keys to my developers and marketing team to make the website VERY live." They respond with: "Dear americandream, We will be contacting the police and providing them with your details if there are any attempts to maliciously harm the website. Please consider this our final communication. Best regards, Paul Cloudbet Support Manager" I assume they intend on using my personal information that I provided them with and they insured they would keep confidential for this. Cloudbet, I would LOVE to talk to the police so I could find out who filed the report so I can counter sue them. You best believe the website is going live and will be ranked for every keyword that you target. That's what I do for a living. I'll keep the thread updated with progress and will deter as much business from you as possible. Anybody who wants to join the fight, DM me.

For anybody looking for good gambling websites, check out Bookmaker and Nitrogen, who are both ethical companies with great customer service. Bookmaker is also USA friendly. Do not, under any circumstances, do business with Scambets.

You don't: - read carefully T&C; but - gamble with restricted territory; - talked with support on the verge of threats.
In addition you received initial deposit (as good will gesture?). Many bookies didn't process cashout in this case.
Course, technical or special department couldn't have possibility to monitor every account and big wins is a red flag to check acc.
P.S. Nitrogen really best bookie. - Upd. course i think that any bookie must filter users BEFORE first bet or in sign up process.

Seems like your loss mate, you are hijacking Cloudbet's ANN thread and you are promoting other website here, I think that unethical. Bring that somewhere else or just make a thread your own. Personally, I liked Nitrogensports but I don't shout that here as I respect this thread, I know they are in competition but both are good sites and they bring entertainment to people, I call them a friendly competition, just keeps improving from time to time.

It's a must to give their deposit back that's what most casinos and sportsbook are currently doing when someone wins after breaking the Terms and Conditions. I wonder why people are gambling with them still
While there are other competitive sportsbooks that we can use, people still gamble on Cloudbet because it's easy to make an account and deposit. Most/some of us tend to forget to read the terms that we agree on upon registration. We only start paying attention to it after our account gets locked.

So you reckon it is ethical to free roll players? Keep their deposits when they lose, and refund them when they win instead of paying out winnings??? I am sick and tired of casinos making up excuses not to pay players. How difficult is it to ban players from restricted countries and reject their deposits? If they are an ethical book, then they should refund players from banned countries their lost deposits, and not cherry pick winners.

Morning all,
@AGD815 - I've just spoken to the teams that were handling the investigation into your friend's account.
Our investigation concluded that a VPN was being used to bypass our territory restrictions, and there has been no information provided by the account owner that confirms the claims of travelling in France. Records show them logging in from a number of different countries, all within minutes of each other, which only solidifies the case for VPN usage, which is strictly prohibited in our terms and conditions.
In situations like this our policy is to allow the player to withdraw all deposited funds, and then close the account. Due to the fact that we are unable to allow players from restricted territories to place bets, the results of any bets made will be void.
The player in question has withdrawn their deposited funds, and as such our teams now consider the matter closed. If the player wishes to take things further to Ask Gamblers or our license providers then we will be happy to provide the relevant information to back up our findings, and are confident in the outcome.
I can understand that this isn't what you were hoping to hear, and I'm really sorry for the stress this has caused you as an affiliate.
@youngamericandream - We don't allow players from the US to access our services, and this information is clearly visible on our site, and on the review sites such as Ask Gamblers that we host pages on.
You claim that you didn't know about this until after KYC was requested, however you shouldn't have been able to create an account from a restricted territory without knowingly bypassing our checks.
@cruso - As mentioned above, we don't keep deposits when players have found to have bypassed our security checks to register from a restricted territory. When they are found we return the deposit and close the account.
I can understand there is an ongoing debate in the crypto gambling world about KYC, and when it's appropriate to request information. We prefer to allow players the freedom to create an account to gamble anonymously (as long as they are not from any restricted territories) because we know that privacy is important to our customers, and only request information when flags have been raised - usually as the result of suspicious activity or confirmed VPN usage.
That being said, I will pass on the posts from some of the players here regarding the need for KYC during signup to our product manager and security teams, and ask that they take this into account when reviewing our policies in the future. Obviously I can't make any promises from my position but I can see there is a need for a debate to be had around this issue.
As usual I'm happy to answer any questions I can regarding the issues above.
Thanks very much,
Ronnie @ Cloudbet

Hello "Ronnie", Nice of you to finally show up! You must have not read my post. I will repeat, just for you: I am a dual citizen currently TRAVELING THE WORLD. I provided scambet with TWO sets of Passports to prove that, and was still denied by winnings. I have now had two news outlets reach out to me and will proceed with full stories and interviews about what has happened here, as well as doing my own press release thru my own company (look it up, you have all my information). I will further direct them to 4 people who have so far reached out to me via DM and will cover their costs to do the same. Cheers, should be a fun 2019 for scambet, I'll make sure of it.

This is a snippet of the transcript. It’s really long. https://m.imgur.com/5dazl3oThat is not that long and clearly states that we were allowed to place the bets. I've registered cloudbetscam.com and will use my available resources to build and market that site to deter as much future business for them as possible, unless we're made whole. IMO that is a good move that could bring some Cloudbet rats out of their holes
