awesome

maybe i found a bug in the my assets page

Asset   Quantity   Total Available   Percentage   Lowest Ask      Highest Bid   Value in NXT   Transfer
hotdogs             100   10'000           1%            0.5          /                   /               Transfer

there are 4900 hotdogs on a sale order for 0.5 but no buy orders in. Does the Asset need a buy order in to set Value in NXT?

Not sure if there is anything that can even be done about this, but when I receive my Nodecoins("Mined"), I get a notification in Wesley's client "You have bought 50 Nodecoins"...except that I didn't    Wink

I can only assume the same notice would appear when any asset it transferred to me?

Now that could confuse the shit out of people.

There is no changes in hoarding, no changes in incentives, community is shrinking, price is falling etc. and nothing happens.

Isn't the price falling because of some changes in hoarding?

No the price is falling because interest is diminishing.
Some of the hoarders may have started dumping in the last days as we lost CIYAM and several marketers.

No, we did not lose Ciyam. He just left this main thread and went back his comfort zone to work on the AT project - http://ciyam.org/open/?cmd=view&data=20140228080813138000&ident=M100V120&chksum=8f5f6d1d&scrollx=0&scrolly=711

Yes it does, if no one wants to buy it, there's no value in it Smiley

Ya, what do you suggest I change the text to? I don't know at the point of the message whether it's an asset transfer or something you bought.

Guys, all this nodecoin talk makes me (and newcomers) bored. Please talk more about NXT as a currency again.

Exactly why I said I'm not sure there is anything that can be done about it. I don't have an answer for this.

Is there a way to check if there was a bid placed for the asset and if not, display that the asset was transferred? I haven't delved into the API too deep so I honestly don't know.

Even if nothing else comes from Nodecoin, it has helped a lot in the AE testing. It has a good trade history, tests out asset transfers, and allows a market to develop around an asset. Just my opinion, of course.

1.) Get NXT.org in your hands!
2.) Create a professional homepage there! (With: Get Started, Client Overview, Graphs from BTER/Cryptsy/Vircurex, the wiki, information about NXT (2 versions for normal guys, and for technical guys)..)
3.) Launch a SMF forum there with a few sections (General, Projects in development, Finished projects, Technical Discussion (Sub: Brainstorming), Promotion, META and 1 forum for each different languages)

Agreed. Now is not a good time to sell. You will simply be a weak hand giving it up to a stronger hand.
The whole market is bearish. Mt Gox is still fresh on everyone's mind. Prepare yourselves to be looking at 4000-5000 satoshi prices for NXT, maybe lower. This is a tough time, but those who hold out will be the winners.

I won't be selling any NXT because I'm not fast enough to know when to buy back in.

Don't get me wrong. We shouldn't stop with nodecoin. But it is too much nodecoin talk right now. Essential talk is missing.

Maybe just "You received 50 ... "? Then it doesn't matter if you paid for them or not.

Question about public key thingie;
Don't users only get a public key after they made an outgoing transaction? So their first transaction, if they use an online client, would be insecure?

Regardless of what they use, an account is "insecure" if it doesn't have any outgoing transactions.
