How long does it usually take for Bitstamp to process a SEPA withdrawal request?

Mine still says "Waiting to be processed", and in the meantime the USD/EUR exchange keeps rising...

Okay, this is really impossible within such market depth! Time is GMT+3

Our system administrator has concluded his investigation of the reported issue and has now resolved the problem. The symptom you describe should not occur anymore. If it does we would ask you to please report this issue to us again immediately.

We do our best to process pending withdrawal request on the same business day or on the next however our bank is closed today and tomorrow due to a national holiday meaning most withdrawals will be sent at the earliest on Friday. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Can someone respond to my questions from a month ago please?
I just read the whole thread.  Good info on pages 2 and 3.  I especially liked this response to some tough questions from Stephen, but I see Nejc dodged the question about whether the offline server was airgapped.  Does any of this info need to be updated?

Dear Stephen,

Bitstamp is very concerned with security and safety of customer funds.

In answer to your questions:

- Bitstamp is using cold storage.

- Bitstamp currently keeps 85% - 90% of bitcoins in cold storage.

- Bitstamp currently has new deposits going to our live wallet. This will change in the near future and new deposits will go directly to cold storage.

- Bitstamp’s offline wallet is installed on a dedicated server that is only turned on when access to the bitcoin client is needed. This server is in a different location than the main server.

- Bitstamp maintains a full reserve of client USD funds and BTC funds.

- Bitstamp maintains a full offsite database backup.

- Bitstamp plans to address the handling of compromises in our forthcoming terms and conditions document.

Thank you for questions.

Best regards,
CEO, Nejc Kodrič
Bitstamp d.o.o.

did a few sepa deposits. All where credited to my bitstamp account within 48h. conversion rate E=>$ was less then 0.5% under ecb rate. very satisfied.

Made my first SEPA withdrawal, and funds were credited to my bank account in less than 48 hs.
Congratulations, I will stop using MtGox and switch to this exchange.

I see ricklandman got his Euros converted for under .5%, which is great, as I believe mtgox still has it where they list your order at 2.5% less in currency markets besides the one your order is in.  Can you give an estimate of what it would be to convert GBP or AUD?

Are there any plans to support Dwolla?

Can I upload my ID and utility bill and immediately send a wire over 10k?  I assume if the wire gets there before someone has gotten around to verifying my account, it will be verified very shortly and I will be able to use the funds?

Also very happy to see that Hazek is working for Bitstamp.  That adds a lot of credibility in my opinion.  He should make an announcement.  I think I will put a link in my sig and start recommending this exchange instead of %*#* mtgox.

How long does it take usually to process an international wire transfer?

Deposits usually take 2 to 5 days to arrive and be processed, withdrawals same after they're processed.

I meant, international wire transfer withdrawal, you said 2-5 days after they are processed, then how long it takes to be processed? or how much is the total time for the international wire withdrawal?

Thank you for all.

We always do our best do process withdrawal requests on the same business day or on the next however this a bit harder to know in advance and can on a rare occasion require more time.

I sent you this email, if you could reply to it here or via email I'd really appreciate it

I'd like to use your service for purchasing Bitcoins but I'd like to know if you can provide any evidence that you comply with EU Anti Money Laundering regulations?

The reason I ask is because the most previous EU exchange Bitcoin-24 wasn't in compliance with AML EU regulations, didn't require any proof or verification from it's users and as we all know it was shut down by the authorities.

Your service gets good reviews but I refuse to use a service until I'm satisfied that you're not just a fly by night one man operation and will be here today and gone tomorrow.

I sent a previous email questioning why your bank is based in Slovenia that was unanswered, again I'd appreciate a response to why you're banking in Slovenia versus a more secure banking region like Germany etc

Also I have another question

1) Where is your staff located? According to your registered business address - 5 JUPITER HOUSE
CALLEVA PARK, ALDERMASTON

http://www.companiesintheuk.co.uk/ltd/bitstamp

According to that, it's just a mail forwarding address as 3,451 companies also use this postcode

2) How many staff do you currently have working at Bitstamp Limited?

Is anyone else getting a broken graph on the front page, with the bottom being -50 USD? I don't think we'll ever go that low, so why not hardcode the bottom to zero instead? The price does look more stable now, though, so maybe the negative bottom is intentional Grin

Has that blown out lately? When I deposited by wire a month or so ago the money was tradeable within three hours.

Do they accept deposits in £s? Or is it just €s?
