Whats wrong with the API?
Why is it working here:
http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/
and not here:
http://bitcoinity.org/markets/bitstamp/USD

Or is it something with Bitcoinity?

I am having the same issue with my bitstamp account.  I have withdraws that show completed on bitstamp but never showed up at the receiving address.  They did reply to my ticket though and told me to wait 24 hours.  It still hasn't show up.   Right now I have open issues with bitinstant, btc-e, bitstamp, okpay and technocashier.  I'm missing funds from every one of those places and receiving no help for them.  I guess it could be linked to karma since I defaulted on a loan here on bitcointalk and my information was released on the forum.  I still plan on repaying steamboat but it seems par for the course to screw someone over when dealing with bitcoins.  Every ticket takes days to respond to.  When they finally respond they push blame back on the user and that's how you deal with it I guess.

This is news to me.

BITSTAMP CODE TERMINATION

Dear Bitstamp customer,

as of Monday, 17th of June 2013, 0:00 GMT, Bitstamp will cease to offer its Bitstamp Code feature. All codes active at that time will be redeemed back to their issuing accounts.

The termination of the Bitstamp Code feature is the result of a successful implementation of Ripple, which replaced and improved its functionality.

Partnered services, which relied on our Bitstamp Code feature to operate, will be able to swiftly replace it through the use of our API and Ripple.

Well I tried it, it works, but... First of all there is an issue  with trusted address. I cant send ripple (practicaly same as bittamp code) to other bitstamp customer, but I have to go to ripple website, open account, define trusted address, send money from bitstamp there, then from there send to other bitstamp account ... Pretty stupid if you ask me

Hazek,

Is this purely a move to ripple or was there a legal implication for you in providing codes? (similar to Gox).

Thanks

We determined that using Ripple is superior to our code system in all respects.

You need to fund your Ripple wallet with 100 XRP first in order to activate it. You can purchase XRP here: https://www.bitstamp.net/market/xrp/

BITSTAMP ADDS WITHDRAWAL E-MAIL CONFORMATION

As the popularity of crypto currencies increases, so do the chances of unauthorized account logins. Although Bitstamp is constantly pursuing the highest standards of security, we cannot guarantee for security breaches, which result from the actions of our users.

To raise the level of protection, Bitstamp provides email conformations for withdraws. The new safety feature, which offers additional protection of our users’ funds, includes the option to make E-mail Confirmations of bitcoin, ripple and bank withdrawals. This option, along with the highly recommended Two-factor Authentication, forms a solid security standard, which will surely gain wide recognition and use among our users.

To setup this feature go to Account > Security > Withdrawal e-mail conformation and choose the preferred setting. We highly recommend you also setup two factor authentication for accessing your Bitstamp account.

An alternative like SMS confirmation for people who are boycotting Google or dont have a smartphone would be nice.

Wow, this is funny. I came to this thread to submit a request for more security options and on the same day, you release the e-mail confirmation feature. Thanks for that!

Also, there are more things I'd like to see:

1. 2FA as withdrawal protection.

Nice to have:

2. The usage of different API keys instead of the full access model.
3. Support of Yubikey.

Thanks again! Smiley

Great idea. I used bitstamp for the first time for a few transactions, and I was completely satisfied. Keep up the good work!

The Email confirmation security feature is a huge PLUS. Good work!

..is there any possibility of supporting the yubikey 2FA method as well?

This is not something we are looking into right now. But if this should change we will definitely let everyone know.
