It's an easy-to-fix javascript bug that has been there for months.
I don't understand why they didn't fix it though. It makes the site feel insecure.

Why is it so very different between course of trading on Bitstamp and through Ripple web client.
For 10 USD, I will get only 1033 XRP on Bitstamp.
If I buy XRP, through Ripple, and as an issuer using bitstamp.net, it will cost more for less (For 10 USD, I get 2500 XRP).

From the verify page:

There are no transfer limits or trade limits for "verified" Bitstamp users. In the event that you would like to remove the 1000€ first time deposit limit on your unverified account or the 10,000€ deposit limit for any future deposits and/or withdrawals, verification is necessary.

I've successfully done withdraws of less than 10k€ without verification. That limit could be cumulative, my withdraws don't add up to 10k€.

It seems my UK bank (Lloyds TSB) - want to charge me £19 to send money via SEPA to BitStamp. I was under the impression that it should be free to send funds - can any UK user comment?

Thats a common misconception. It must cost the same as an inland transfer but only in countries that have adopted the Euro.
Congrats on the pound.
Nonetheless more banks adopt it, because from 2014 on they will be forced to(if the Euro still exists ofc).

I really appreciate the good work Bitstamp is doing but this trading without option of stop loss order is unacceptable! For some people Bitcoin is their first and only commodity they're invested in, the risk of losing their investment overnight is actually what stops them from believing in this new currency and eventually makes the market so volatile. Offering stop loss order would bring a lot of clarity and stability to the exchange and overall Bitcoin value. Please, get your best and brightest working on it.

For a kick off, stop loss orders are most useful for leveraged investments like futures, options, CFDs, spread bets.

Secondly, you can't go short on Bitstamp, so the only panic exit you can take is to sell when the market is falling. Well, at 1:1 if you can't afford to take a (probably temporary) loss on your BTC investment then DON'T BUY in the first place.

BTC is the strongest currency in the world. If you are going to panic while owning some - then stay out and watch. Meanwhile your fiat is being eroded in real-terms. That is the real risk.
