Trading on this exchange without level 2 verification is a nightmare. Congrats to those who have attained it.

This exchange is ridiculous. I am small potatoes in the big scheme of things but five hundred bucks is five hundred bucks they've been holding my ether ransom for 5 days now.  Awaiting approval awaiting approval awaiting approval awaiting approval excetera excetera

This is the last time I used this exchange for any trade.

Coins traded with any value Bitcoin or Evth are held.  Crap coins trade all day long

Did POLO shut down API access? It is slow and buggy and doesn't work most of the time for the past few days.

Cryptocurrencies need decentralized exchanges like the dark ages needed vaccines.

Every person in the crypto community will be uncomfortably familiar with ongoing exchange theft, attack, and fraud.
One in sixteen Bitcoins have been stolen.
As Poloniex demonstrated recently, centralised servers are vulnerable to DDOS attacks, or occasionally just cannot cope with demands on their systems.
Mt. Gox, Bter, Mintpal, Cryptsy, Bitfinex, and an alarmingly long list of other exchanges have significantly damaged confidence in cryptocurrency, diminished exchange liquidity across the board, and lost millions of dollars of customers’ funds.

Decentrlaised exchanges cant come soon enough! With an already working DX and a hard fork in a few weeks, this is the future.

Posting this for those that are interested. It could NOT be more timely!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1906507.0;all

YES.

Decentralised exchanges are the future. Blocknet does true peer to peer cross blockchain trades 100% risk free and trustless.

Dear Poloniex.

How will you be compensating people that incur losses from the lag and inability to sell or buy , resulting from YOUR website & API problems over the past week!?!?

Go Big or Go Home.

Decentralised exchanges are the future. Blocknet does true peer to peer cross blockchain trades 100% risk free and trustless.

NXT already had decentralised exchange since 2013

Unluckily, if you read this statement : https://poloniex.com/press-releases/2017.05.16-Industry-growth-and-its-effect-on-Poloniex/

And the full "Term of service", they will probably deny any kind of compensations, as, you, as an user of the platform assume yourself all the risks....

https://poloniex.com/terms

So don't believe that something will happens in that direction.....

Yeah. And that's why people are leaving Polo an masse. Considering it's a US based company, they can be held liable by civil court easily. Wonder how many are being filed as we speak. Lol

There seem to be a lot of problems across the board - especially with BTC transfers, I think there are a lot of scaling issues that we see - both with Poloniex and Bittcoin - Polo need to be more transparent with the issues to improve confidence in their platform.

I can now understand why they have been delisting so many coins if they have such a large capacity issue...

Polo has completely gone to shit, the trollbox is full of complaints about missing deposits, stuck withdrawals and lag.

It's getting a kicking on Twitter and deservedly so.

It's a shame, it used to be really good, now it's just a bunch of hopeless geeks and has cost me $150 so far.

Fuck polo.
