It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Poloniex has the highest fees.  They take 100% until they feel like it.

Hey guys,

It's much quicker to just send in an anonymous tip to the FBI.  What Poloniex is doing is criminal.  Obviously, there'll be lawsuits.  But it speeds everything up if you get the FBI involved.  The FBI loves this kind of a case.  They will definitely devote resources to it.  One of the largest crypto exchanges is a criminal enterprise stealing customer funds...the FBI will be all over this.  This will make Mt. Gox and Karpeles situation look like a cakewalk.

Send in a tip to the FBI.  You can do it anonymously.

https://tips.fbi.gov/

That's what I'm planning to do.  I'm going to give Polo, Tristan and Co. a few more days and a chance to respond and send my withdrawal.

I still cannot believe how incredibly dumb these people running Polo are.  Their greed and amateurism is going to land them in jail.  What good is stealing coin, front running customers when you'll be in a cell not making any coin for 15 years.

I can't wonder how the financial losses, will be worldwide, if the site will close for this, and how many people will be ruined having big sums on the exchange.....

I'm reducing my stake on polo a little - always good to be safe and spread risk around the exchanges

EDIT: LSK seems to be transferring out fine

Hey guys,

It's much quicker to just call your local FBI field office.

Contact your local FBI field office.  You can do it anonymously as well I believe.  You want to get in touch with Financial Crimes Investigations.

https://www.fbi.gov/contact-us/field-offices

That's what I'm planning to do.  I'm going to give Polo, busoni, tristan and Co. a few more days and a chance to respond obviously and send my withdrawal.  Then it's a quick 15 minutes to report the financial crime and send some documents.

I still cannot believe how incredibly dumb these people running Polo are.  Their greed and amateurism is going to land them in jail.  What good is stealing coin when you'll be in a cell not making any coin for 15 years.

FBI will soon shut down this shady exchange called Poloniex.

The future is to a truly decentralized exchange called Blocknet:

Between them holding deposits ransom for a whole day or more with zero notification on why. Support tickets open for days and not even looked at.  Obvious price manipulation by utilizing time made from holding deposits so people cant sell but polo can.  This site is obviously doing something wrong, premeditated or through negligence.  I have pulled all my coins from there and have started trading elsewhere.  Hope they made a lot of money because they are about to lose a ton.

And this https://poloniex.com/press-releases/2017.05.16-Industry-growth-and-its-effect-on-Poloniex/ is nothing more than them trying to claim no responsibility for site issues.  Not fooling anyone who has been in crypto for a long time and has run large active user based websites, as these problems arent crypto problems. They are IT problems that are dealt with everyday by far better professionals with zero to lil impact on daily site operations.

Bittrex is not better either. Today I had to wait more than 2 hours before they release my BTC withdrawal. Bye bye Poloniex and Bittrex, Hello Blocknet exchange!

never had a withdraw issue on polo, although during peak usage phases the withdraw confirmation email has taken a few hours to arrive.

auto-renew of loans arent working though.. whats up with that.

I just made a small withdrawal. After clicking verification email, got 'Oops, invalid url' but wd actually went through fine and quick. They have this issue covered in FAQs, if anyone gets the 'Oops' screen - just ignore it, it still gets verified.

https://forum.bitcoin.com/scam-accusations/poloniex-loses-t26440.html?sid=79d9c4916cab6d9a3d5f0678d4390738

Below is the law firms contact info. As I said they were quick to respond. I originally sent a message to the info address. I have a contact there now. I don't want to give out that info without asking. I'll ask them tomorrow how they'd like the word to be spread.

BERNS WEISS LLP https://www.law111.com/ info@law111.com

This firm has a dedicated team they formed in 2013 that works specifically in crypto and blockchain technology. I didn't know that at first. I think I read they're helping coinbase with their IRS subpoena for personal records.
