Obviously I can but agree with you, but if bitcoin gets confidential transactions soft forked this year, then the market will decide which system is better or which it is happy to use.  The issue for Dash and xmr, etc, is the fist mover advantage of Bitcoin. A better product doesn't always win first prize.

First mover advantage doesn't always win.  Sometimes it's the "fast follower" aka second mover.  The initial first-mover advantage will last for a period of time, only to be replaced by the "Fast Follower".  Ford Motor Company was the first mass produced manufacturer of cars.  Within a short time, General Motors was outselling them by offering something Ford would not.  By following a strategy of innovation, combined with focusing on getting the word out, DASH has an excellent chance of succeeding in the Digital Cash realm.

--------------------------------

"First-movers are not always able to benefit from being first. Whereas firms who are the first to enter the market with a new product can gain substantial market share due to lack of competition, sometimes their efforts fail. Second-mover advantage occurs when a firm following the lead of the first-mover is actually able to capture greater market share, despite having entered late.

First-mover firms often face high research and development costs, and the marketing costs necessary to educate the public about a new type of product. A second-mover firm can learn from the experiences of the first mover firm, and may not face such high research and development costs, if it is able create its own version of a product using existing technology. A second-mover firm also does not face the marketing task of having to educate the public about the new project because the first-mover has already done so. As a result, the second-mover can use its resources to focus on making a superior product or out-marketing the first-mover."

Add one more requirement:

Opinion on whether data held on the DASH blockchain is retained by the person who submits that data to the blockchain.

Under the MIT licence, only the software released by DASH is open sourced. Data submitted to the blockchain is not software, and as such the blockchain is a database.  Databases and Software are treated exclusively from each other.

DASH MIT licence for the SOFTWARE does not equal an MIT licence for the DASH BLOCKCHAIN.

This issue should be cleared up.

For example, if the NSA seek to identify obfuscated data on the DASH blockchain, they should get a court order, rather than just build software to try and force the data out. The need to get a court order is reinforced if users who submit that data to the blockchain e.g. a contract or mixed transaction, retain their rights to that data ownership, but also provide an open data licence under xyz circumstances, eg data not obfuscated.

I guess this Morpheus was one month late. Still quite accurate for crypto market prediction.

LTC has been talking about modding the updates and coin to be quantum computing resistant.   Who knows if this is required right now but just curious if this is also being thought about for DASH?

https://www.reddit.com/r/litecoin/comments/542znc/development_update_sep_23_2016/

LTC talks about lots of things, but nothing ever gets done and nothing has ever gotten done.

Not sure about dash with regards to this question.

Since everyone is talking about about recent news with regards to the vulnerability of cryptocurrency to quantum computers, it might be a good idea if DASH can also implement the same solution and get it done.

"Ok, I’m in. How do I get the Bitwala Bitcoin debit card?

Getting your hands on the Bitcoin debit card is super easy. First things first, you need to have a verified account on Bitwala. Let us show you how:

Sign up at Bitwala. If you already have an account, simply Log in Bitwala.

Verify for Level 2 by uploading your identification document and utility bill.

Order the card, decide whether you want to get a virtual or physical card. The virtual card would be delivered within one business day and the physical card takes around 10 business days.

Once it arrives, activate your card by clicking our e-mail link. Don’t have time to check your e-mail? No problem, find the steps here."

I'm sure the guy above verified he is Satoshi Nakamoto Tongue

On a more serious note, is there anything more anonymous than that?
